Can anyone help, we are looking to book a 2011 eastern caribbean cruise 7th May - cat 5. I can't find details of how many points it would be per adult. Does anyone know?

Also there will be 2 adults, 1 child and possibly an infant. We don't have enough points for both the adults, can we do this:

points for 1st adult
cash for 2nd adult
points for child and infant?

Hope this makes sense

The point cost per adult is 257-282 depending on what subcategory you book (A, B, C) and the cost for someone 2 and under is 71 points, the cost for someone 3-5 is 114 points, the cost for someone 6-12 is 116 points, and the cost for someone 13+ is 127. And, yes, you can use points to book one adult and the kids, and cash to pay for the second adult, but you have to be prepared to pay for the adult upon booking with MS. Happy cruising. :goodvibes

Thank you so much for quick and detailed answer - my problems are solved. Now I need to work out how many points we will have. Thank you

I hate to jump in on the conversation, but I was wondering something similar. I can't log into the website for some reason...

How many points is it for the 10/9/11 Disney Dream cruise (4 nights)? We will have 2 adults and 2 kids (14 and 10).

We are looking at Cat. 10A.

THANKS!

First 2 passengers are 76 point each. 3rd/4th adult ages 13+ are 45 points each. 3rd/4th child ages 6-12 are 42 points each.

WOW, that was quick!! Thanks!!!

I think we will only have enough points to pay for 2 adults and the 14 year old. Any idea what the cash cost for the 10 year old would be if we book through DVC?

You can probably get a fairly good idea by pricing the cruise through Disneycruise.com (it should show a breakdown of each person when you price a trip). Then, if you divide the taxes, etc. by 4, that should get you pretty close to what MS would charge. :thumbsup2

Thanks, Crystal. I need to call MS and get it booked soon.

Last question: I am going on a 3 nighter on the Wonder next week. Does anyone know what the incentive would be for me to wait and book the 2011 cruise while I am onboard?

I know if I was paying cash for the cruise I'd get a 10% discount and an OBC, but are their similar incentives for booking your next cruise through DVC?

We are new members (just since October), so I'm still learning.

THANKS!:worship:

Take the 10% discount and the OBC and the 1/2 deposit and book with cash! I wouldnt' even consider booking a 2011 cruise with points at this point if you have the opportunity to not just book with cash but also book onboard for all the additional benefits.
