Mistake on Confirmation letter

We rented points and we received out confirmation letter. Unfortunately, our name is incorrect. Can we call ourselves to get our name spelled correctly or do we need to call the person we rented from? I hate to bother her for one letter.

We also are renting points and had a mistake as they forgot to put the kids on the reservation, we called DVC and they would only speak to the person who owned the points.

If you are not the member who made the reservation, Member Services will not speak to you.

Contact the owner and have them correct the reservation.

I think the OP also wants to know if this is worth it for a misspelling of just one letter.

Like, if they got my husband's last name wrong just a tiny bit, is this something they need to have fixed (he's the owner in our house so he would call), or do they have some leeway with a tiny misspelling?

I am pretty sure the OP asked this "can we call ourselves to get our name spelled correctly or do we need to call the person we rented from?" which is what everyone answered.

OK, then, the IMPLIED question inside of "I hate to bother her for one letter."

Since "letter" in this context doesn't make sense if it's the same letter as the confirmation letter, it must mean letter as in letter of the alphabet. So I got that the deeper issue is if they will not let them check in, because they are down as Smith if they are actually Smyth, for example.

To me, that's a bigger issue than who can and cannot contact MS. IF it's worth bothering the owner, for a difference of one letter.

I own DVC, but after being a owner I found a rent deal too good to turn down. The rental was 2 days added on to my DVC stay. The owner was in days of losing all of her points. Anyway, when I printed the confirmation, it had mine and my husband first names. No last name anywhere. When we drove up to the gate at BeachClub I showed the guard the confirmation with our drivers licenses, then the same at the desk. We also could not call Member Services, it was not our reservation.
If it were me, I would call the owners, get it straight. Have it faxed or emailed to you. I have had two confirmations where the cast members fingers could not have hit the right keys.
For the ones where the kids are not added, if you are using the dining plan or Magical Express, they have to be added. Disney wants the names and ages of all in the room. The kids will only be a number on the confirmation.
Don't feel you are troubling the owner, he shouldn't have rented if he didn't want to follow the rental all the way through.
