You can park underneath, that is if you have a car....
He was great the first night, then last night he was a little rotten. I'm sure he will be an angel when it's time for bed tonight...This dog/pony has 4 nights to get his act together......
We've walked a bit throught the Beach Club maze too! I have your entry down!I'm going to say 156 steps. I know I've had a room at Beach Club that was at LEAST that many from the main elevator (not that I was ever clever enough to count but you know what I mean!). Love the contest!!
I've seen you over on MeMom's thread, isn't she wonderful? Thanks for coming out of lurkdom! I'm happy to have you and will record your 25 step guess!I've been lurking since coming over here from Memom's report . I'm gonna guess 25 steps.
Hmmmmm I am channeling my inner math diva and thinking about where I stayed... but I didn't use the elevator... I will guess 96 and that is not scientific.
Tracy
Yay Vanessa is playing! I've got your 112 recorded!I want to play! My guess is 112.
Hi there! So glad you are back.
Don't you just hate it when life gets in the way of the DIS?
How does next semester look for you? Is it going to get crazy again?
I did hate it when I couldn't get on the DIS! I think I will be better when we get back from break. At the start of the year I had 25 2nd graders with 14 IEP's (special ed), including one full time autistic child. Suffice to say that my principal had to move some kids...then one of the teacher assts. assigned to my room got arrested and charged with child molestation:: What a nightmare! Combine all of that with 2 new programs implemented by my division, regular classroom paperwork and preparation, and oh ya, that's right, I do have two kids of my own who need mom! I just ran out of time (and brain cells) and the DIS is something that got left behind.
We did enjoy the movie!I hope you enjoy The Blind Side. Best movie I have seen in years!
My guess of steps is 12...
So are you saying that I can't count?Hmmmmm, I'm thinking if it were alot of steps you wouldn't have counted them so I'm going to stay on the low side and say......18
Really I can count past 20, really I can.....Have to agree with SoonerGirl. I think I will say 15!
93 is yours and I have it recorded!93!
Has anyone taken that number yet?
Drama Queen still isn't talking to you!?! That's ridiculous!
Just be prepared for teenage stuff, although I've seen some pretty good 4 year old fits too! Sorry to laugh, but when I see other people's kids having meltdowns it makes me feel just a little more normal!I lurked on your PTR but I'm going to join the fun! I can't wait to hear about the drama. I have a feeling I will be staring into my future as my 4 year old is already a drama queen.
As far as the contest goes, I'm going to guess 78 steps.
Love your way of thinking, I very cute guess for sure! 101 goes to you!101? A Disney related guess!
IF the kids had come over to play you would have had a real advantage..... maybe that's a good thing though, I would have hated to have disqualified you.Guess away dear!Ohhhhhh I wannna guess too mama!
I have no clue and have never been to Kidani.
I will guess 217. Everyone else is guessing low so I will throw it in space.
Wait....I reserve the right to second guess my guess based on a question.
Whose steps?
Mine
He and I were walking together, just us, no tuckus kicking or even pretend kicking at the time...You are way shorter than Mark. So it may make a difference.
There is logistics that go into guessing ya know.
Dan also has a guess and will post in a bit. He wants to know if the person counting steps was behind Keeley so that said person was perhaps taking shorter steps as they were faux tukkus kicking her from behind.
If I were behind Carsyn for example and pretending to kick her tukkus as I walked, my stride would be different than a normal gait.
Not sure about the bags but probably yes due to the amount of shopping done on this trip. Also, was the official steps counter carrying bags? This might mean a person would lean to one side and again, alter the gait that they normally would have.
Don't think I ate any beans, but there was a good chance we had been eating, we did a bunch of that on this trip! How bout a sense if the person was full or not. If said counter had just rolled out of Boma's and had increased their portly capacity another 3-4 lbs or so, it could easily counter their pace. Esp. if the beans they serve had time to seek havoc on the gut.
Most days I wore fleece or sweats, no binding waist band to deal with.....I mean you are talking quite a bit of latitude between the holding jeans walk because you had to unbutton them because you stuffed yourself (not that I would know this ) which is slow and purposeful. Then You have the "OMG I need a lavatory pronto" canter before your TR is called "The GREAT BEAN Debacle of 2009" and you are trucking those tootsies in rapid succession, practicing your lamaze breathing even if you have never been pregnant or are a man.
So there are a few questions to help us who are just in it for fun and not competitive at all.
I hopped over there speedy quick!I started my TR Anita - Hope you'll come read along! Link is in my siggie
Thanks for not lurking this time!I always lurk. But I love reading your TR's so I am in to post this time. Can't wait to read more.
I've got you down for a nice even 100 Jennifer!Hmmm I'm going to guess 100 steps.
Did I tell you?Hmmm I cant guess But it sure is fun reading all the reply's!!
I set my timer today and worked in the kitchen for an hour, well I ventured into the living room as well.....quote]I am so glad that there are others like me out there!
So were the kids in there playing while you were working? It's for all the different holiday decorations I have amassed over the years -- it's in the fourth bedroom which is the kids' playroom -- I figured they could have the room, but I was taking the closet.
Wigd, I am going to guess 200 steps because that is how many days it is until our next trip to Disney.
Getting Jackie all boxed in are you? I've got your 195 in my book!Hmmmm...I'm going to guess 195 steps!!!!
Blue light special on aisle 8!She was texting me the whole while telling me about all the great deals!!!
I've got you down for 174 steps. Did you make a wrong turn last June?I have one of those under the stairs closets in the basement. Mine is full of clothes that need to be donated to goodwill!Okay CP I gotta Christmas Closet too! Mine is a walk in under the stairs in my basement, it is starting to get too small, though, so now I have all my "faux" greenery in a big tree bag in our storage room! Did you take a picture in your TR? I gotta go see!
WIGD I am guessing it was a long walk. Kidani is very spread out... we walked some of it accidently last June.. so I say 174 steps....
we were only at Kidani long enough to have lunch at Sanna, but It was a huge resort, so I'm going to guess 156 steps!
I do mean the elevator just off of the lobby. NOT any elevator associated with a parking garage since I'm married to MrIwontrentacar!I stayed at Kidani and something tells me that Shocker really isn't kidding.
Of course, since I have stayed at Kidani, with a car, I have to ask a clarification question. When you say the "main" elevator, do you mean the elevator in the lobby OR the closest elevator from the underground parking to your villa??? In my case, there was a HUGE difference. We were very close to the Timon 4 elevator, not so close to the elevators in the lobby and extremely far away when we ended up parking on the OTHER side of the lobby one night. That was probably......never mind, I'm not even going to guess how many steps that was!
Perhaps I am pumping for too much information, but you can't blame a girl for trying from there are prizes involved.
I've got you recorded as 124!124 steps is my guess.
It is the closest without going over so I have you down for 1.Is this one of those things where.... it's the closest without going over?!
Cus if it is, I want 1.
1 measley step.
If it's not, I'll take 120.
Houston we have a problem with your guess. As soon as the boxes arrive I'll take pictures, I do have some things here that I need to get photographed as well. Disney shopping is so much fun!I can't get past the 3 BOXES of souvenires!! Do we get to see them all, huh? Huh?
As far as the contest, hmmmm..., I'm going to think positively. You got your request and had only 15 steps to go between elevator and villa.
Maybe because I'd like to see how much time we could save not being held captive by Disney transportation....Why would you need a car at Disneyworld?
I'm laughing at the logic of your guess, I have you down for 13 steps!Hello there! I've finally caught up! Can't wait to hear all about your adventures! I'm guessing 13 since that may have been a sign of things to come for you!
Wow, I'm impressed by the both of you!Wow....Dawn you are like the forensic Disney reconstruction scientist I never would have thought to consider any of those things...perhaps before you settle on a for sure # of steps, you should inquire about the coefficient of friction as it pertains to the velocity of their gait and the floor surface vs the material of their footwear. ok, I have no idea what that means but I was watching the science channel today and I wanted to be smart like you too!
The new dog is a Goldendoodle. Golden Retriever and Standard Poodle. He's 3 years old and really big! He doesn't like to walk on wood floors and most of our house has wood floors so he is not wandering the house. He is however adorable and so sweet natured.20 is a nice number. I had 22 last year. That extra 4-6 really makes a BIG difference though you wouldn't think that is the case. I got my group by accident. My principal intended for me to have the gifted cluster class but somewhere in all the stuff he labeled the wrong folder. By the time he became aware the computer was loaded and we'd already started labeling stuff. Honestly, despite the extra work for some of my kids, my class overall is better behaved and sweeter so I am glad it ended up the way it did.
What kind of dog is the new pup you got?
So are you saying that I can't count?
OK, Michelle, I've got you down for 18.
$750 gift card? Now that's some serious shopping loot!THREE boxes of souvies?? Cannot wait to see them!! Hopefully I will come home with a lot from our next trip since I just got the $750.00 gift card added to our ressie. I guess I will be happy that I have 2 BOYS also after reading this TR too huh??
My guess for the # of steps is 37. Hopefully that is not taken. I could not keep track after reading all the posts!!
Some times the thread just spins out of control and over the last day it's been going like crazy!Holy cow Charlie Brown! You just started this could be yesterday and already on pg. 8. All I have to do now is sit back for the trip to be written so I can eat my popcorn before the cat gets it. My guess is 17 steps.
Got it! The number 16 is yours! I'm starting to feel like a bookie!16 steps
Now I'm curious about the question.....Hmmmm....I have a question, but I can't ask it without giving away your story, so I'll just assume the answer.
My guess is 42. (since it is the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything.)
Patience Pammy, patience....My, my, I can't begin to think of how many steps that would be!!! My guess is gone, so I will settle for 198. Waiting for the meat of this report to start, very anxious.
No logic is good too! I've got you down for 63!I am going to guess 63. No logic...just a guess
I just saw that and have switched you to 122! Thanks for bringing the double to my attention...I just realized my guess was a duplicate! If i am allowed, I would like to change it to 122 (unless I am stealing someone elses guess, again!).
Well I do have patience for some things....Not at all! I'm just thinking of myself and my inability to be patient enough to count a ton of steps. Then again, you are a teacher (God bless you!) and therefore MUST have much more patience than I....Oh no, I'm second guessing my guess.....
