Best Rental Company for Windsor Hills

Hi Everyone, Looking to book our vacation at the end of January. We have used All Star Vacation Homes, but found them to be a bit high. (However, the service was exceptional!)

I'm looking for other suggestions. Please let me know if you have used a company, rented from an individual, etc. We are looking for a private home w/pool. I think the smallest starts at 4-bedroom for this setup. Thanks in advance!!

We rented back in October 2009 from a private owner.

themagicrentals.com

There are six different homes to pick from and they are truly EXACTLY what you see on their website. Very quick email responses and very helpful. Will stay here again. We stayed in villa 4 and loved it.

We stayed at Windsor Hills for the first time last December. We rented through www.floridasunvacationhomes.com and they were great. Very professional, easy to work with and the condo was exactly as pictured. We would not hesitate to recommend them or use them again.

We're also renting from floridasun and have, so far, found them to be very professional and helpful. Haven't stayed at the unit yet, but they are quick to respond to any questions and their homes looked a little more upscale. Probably a better furniture package than some.

They were fantastic every step of the way. We will be using them again in August!

Don't know if you found somewhere yet but the villa we are staying in in Windsor Hills I would highly recommend. http://www.sunkissed-villas.com/villainfo.aspx The owners are awesome and I just checked their availability calendar and the end of January is open! They are so booked so I cannot believe it! They may even offer you a discount since you are looking to rent pretty soon. Recently someone on this board stayed in this same Villa and posted how much they liked it http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2348744 I hope this helps :)

This thread is so helpful! Our visit this year is going to be short - only 5 days, but I'm definitely hoping for a full week next spring and I was hesitating about what company to use at Windsor Hills.

Can you stay at windsor hills for less than a week? And if it's by the week is it Sat-Sat or can you come in or leave on different days? Linda :)

It depends on the company that you rent through. There is a fellow (Dave Robinson) who only rents his units Sat-Sat, but he charges substantially less than some of the others. Florida Sun Vacation Homes rents by the day.

Can you share his info? I am contemplating doing this next season. :)
Thanks!!

We have stayed off site 3 times. The first time in 2005 was an "ok" experience with a management company. the 2nd time in 2006 was a good experience renting directly from a home owner through vrbo.com. Our most recent off site rental was May 2009, when we rented a 3 bedroom condo in Windsor Hills through Florida Sun. An honest, professional company at an affordable price. It was a good experience, and we will rent from them again next time.

Dave Robinson's WH site is www.vacationcentralflorida.com. We haven't stayed there yet, but we have arrangements for a 2 bedroom for 2 weeks this coming August and are really looking forward to it. The whole deposit process has been great so far and they have answered all of my questions within a few hours. I'll be sure to post a review when we return.

Go to www.vrbo.com. With many of the listings there, you deal directly with the actual owners. We rent from the same owner all the time and it's great being able to deal directly with him.

@jerseygirl81 - it depends on the owner, but yes you can rent less than a week. What some owners might do is waive the cleaning fee, or throw in free pool heat if you stay at least a week, but will allow you to stay less than a week. Also, many don't have any requirements for a Friday - Friday or Saturday - Saturday stay. We often rent 9 nights starting on a Thursday running through to the next Saturday.

We always get an enquiry through windsorhillsrent.com and then weed through the responses. That being said we rented twice through owners.
This place was our fav of the 2
http://mickeyscondo.com We stayed at the safari one!
