Hello everyone, im a newby. we been to disneyworld many years, but we usually stay off-site. This christmas we decided we want to stay on-site next year the first week of december. watching all of these travel channel shows of disney during christmas helped us decide. my question is . Is there any way to stay at a moderate resort with 4 adults and 4 children? like is there connecting rooms available? or is there any suites available at the moderate resort rate?
any suggestions?
Thanks

The only way to stay at a Moderate with 8 people would be to get 2 rooms. There are connecting rooms you can request, but it's not guaranteed.

I don't know what your budget is, but you could look in to a 2 bedroom unit at a DVC resort. Those sleep 8 and you would have a kitchen.

I was going to suggest the same thing :) You can request connecting rooms, but not guaranteed and with the two bedroom you all will be together.

But then again, two or three rooms at a moderate will get you two or three full bathrooms! To do this, you need to have at least one adult listed in each room (you can switch things around after you check in) you can request connecting rooms, but it's not guaranteed--but you won't be in separate areas of the resort. The mods are Caribbean Beach, Coronado Springs, and Port Orleans French Quarter and Riverside, also the Fort Wilderness Cabins (but they only sleep a maximum of six). Watch for discounts. The current PIN code is 30% off the moderates at that time. Happy planning! And, oh, Welcome to the DIS boards:dance3::cheer2::cheer2::grouphug:

How do i book a DVC? also im very interested on the Carribean Beach Resort
because of reading the review of "Momof2DisneyBoys"
We usually stayed at the Marriot Horizons resort, but with the girls being 5,6,7 and a 3 year old boy, I thought they would have a magical trip if they stayed on disney property . another thing , where do you suggest i look into getting this trip? a travel agent ? or disney? also is it good to include the tickets with the hotel?
Thanks again

You can also look into renting points from an owner. There is a board on this forum for that.

My vote is for the Treehouse Villas at SSR. They sleep 9 and require the same number of points as a 2BR. Go on the Rent/Trade board and look for someone who's points are expiring and negotiate. You'll be surprised how much you can save. :thumbsup2

Rent DVC points. I just did it on these boards for our trip at the beginning of the month. I paid less that I would have pain for 2 rooms at a mod, and got to stay in a 2 bedroom villa at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. It was amazing.

How do you rent Dvc points? do i have to be a dvc member?

No, you do not have to be a member. Go to the rent/trade board on this site and read the sticky at the top. That will get you started. For your situation, it's really going to give you the most bang for your buck. I'd take a 2 BR DVC villa over 2 rooms in a Mod every single time.
