Vegas Disney Outlet

Has anyone been there recently? It seems so hit or miss and I hate the traffic. However, sometimes they have gems. We are heading to DL in a couple weeks and I'd like to make goody bags for the kids, so I don't have to pay retail in the park!

I went on BF. They had $1.99 pins for doorbusters & I got a few. Lots of pirate merchandise, lots of Camp Rock and Hanna stuff, lots of Power Ranger toys and some Halloween costumes. Just go . . . I find something every time I go.

There is a Character Warehouse that's an outlet store for DLR merchandise, at the Outlet Mall on the strip a few miles past Mandalay Bay (the old Belz outlet mall, now called Las Vegas Outlet Center).

There is also a Disney Store Outlet in the "other" outlet mall, the one closer to downtown called Las Vegas Premium Outlets.

The Character Warehouse is the one I went to on BF.

I was just to the one south of Mandalay Bay and was disappointed in the merchandise. Recognized some items I've seen on disneyshopping.com; however, lot of Disneyland items and stuff for kids. I didn't really think the prices were all that great.

Unbelieveable, but I left the store without making a purchase!!

I went to the same one in late March of '09. Made my husband drive me there right after we landed (it was near the airport).

I too was disappointed in the selection and prices.

The outlet used to be bursting with great deals on clothes, especially women's higher end stuff. But last time we went, in August, there were no good deals to be seen unless you like Hannah, High School Musical and the Tweeny shows on Disney channel. I did get a couple of pins, that was all.

Having said that, we always go there and I will continue to stop by - it is very close and we drive to LV so no problem getting there. The city bus goes there, too, if you are without a car.

I stay with a friend in Green Valley Ranch, in Henderson, and I always ask her to take me to the Premium Outlets store in Las Vegas. I didn't know there was a Character Outlet as well.

However, having been to Premium at least 3 times, I have always been able to load up with a nice variety of goodies (my daughter is a Tink fan) at very low cost.

I recently visited the Character Outlet in Orlando/Lake Buena Vista and it was full of stuff but DISMAL. No great deals or anything that I would buy -- I actually left empty-handed.

We used to live in Orlando and had two Character Outlets (in the old Belz Outlet), both of which were fantastic. I was disappointed with my last visit.

But I'm going to Las Vegas next month and will be going back to Premium. I'm hesitant to have her take me to both, especially after hearing your comments about Character Outlet....and my Orlando experience.

Do you know if the Character Warehouse is still currently open? I am asking because I am having trouble finding it in the store listings on the Las Vegas Outlet Center's website. Thanks!!

can anyone tell me if this character outlet is still open and where they are. Pelase be very specific as to where they are as I've never been to the strip portion of Vegas AND we will be walking the whole time, no car.

I was there about a month ago. They are in an outlet mall called the Las Vegas Outlet Center South, in a building called The Annex. The Saks Fifth Ave. outlet is in this building. Take a taxi; it is pretty far from the South End of The Strip. This store carries clearance merchandise from Disneyland. I always buy pins for trading and t-shirts & pajamas.

We were there on Saturday, left without buying a thing, 2nd time now, we were there last Nov. and didn't buy anything either. They had alot of stuff still they had back in Nov.

There was some cars stuff, lots of no interest shirts, some costumes, but they were expensive and not that cute, pins were junk, not too many, high school musical stuff, hanaha montana stuff, nothing really that great. I was bummed I wasted time going there again. I think that will be my last visit there.

Now the Disney Outlet in the downtown outlet mall is AWESOME!!! I bought a POC keychain for .30, a dumbo ornament from the parks for $3, saw the same thing in Dec. for $20 at DLR, bought PJ's for $7, beach towels for #3.99, slippers for DD for $1.99, a huge bag of stuff. There was tons of DLR park clothes, swim suits were like $5 but they mostly only had small sizes. Now that store I love and would highly recommend going there, HIGHLY!!! I always find great deals, especially on park merchandise.

Have fun and good luck

It is not inside the mall. It is a separate building to the right of the mall. I have never found any thing every time I have gone.

I just went to the character outlet on the south end of the strip this past weekend and thought it was nifty for park merchandise, but I wear a medium and a couple of shirts I wanted, there were no mediums to be found.

I DID end up getting a white polo with Minnie stitched on and a Frontier Land shirt, though. I also got a really cute mug with Mickey, Goofy, and Donald on it and it's much improved my spirits at work as I drink my tea out of it.

I'd say that one is hit or miss.

The one at the other outlets near downtown is likely better, but I haven't been in that one yet, somehow, even though I live here!

The premium outlet at the south end of the Strip also has a Disney Store. It is in the main section at the south end of the building. We always go to bothe the Character Warehouse and the Disney Store.
The Disney Store is partly an outlet in that it will have brand new items and then it will have racks of discounted things like pajamas or tees.

There are two Disney Outlet locations in Las Vegas at the two major outlet malls. One is at Las Vegas Premium Outlets - North (near downtown) and the other at Las Vegas Premium Outlets - South (near the airport). The north location is an outdoor mall, while the south location is an enclosed mall.
