Christmas is Coming - Disney Room

What's Wally's sister doing holding MY goat???

That's not my sister.
My sister would definitely fill that sweater out better.

I don't know Wally...blue eyes, blond hair, your old glasses....maybe there's something your Mama hasn't told you....

I'm pushing you in the moat at MK!

Ok, finally got around to taking more shots of the decorations, plus have some pics of our redone front livingroom.

With little space to put out our entire village, we put the rest above the kitchen cabinets.

Decided to give a try at creating our own Mickey Icon wreath. The map in the background is our latest find on Ebay. Disneyland park map from 1961. Finally got it back from the framers. It's huge!

Thanks so much honey. Our Christmas village has gotten out of hand. We didn't even put all of them out. We have about 40 houses. Steven's dream is to be able to create a lifelike village, with a train, water features, people, cars, roads, mountains.....he's gets a little obsessive about things and I have to reel him back in. I swear next year, he's converting our office/art room into the "Village Room". I swear........

Mr Zeit -- OMIGOSH! your decorations are beautiful!!!! (as is your new house :))

Wally! Stop bothering the goat! Right Now!

Stunning! What a beautiful home! Your Christmas decorations rival Macy's!!!
Truly magical....and

I love the framed DL map!!!

Thanks! We worry some times that we don't have a decorating gene. We have the Christmas decorating gene, but I struggle with the house.

Thank you! I actually worked at Dillards for a few years during the holidays doing decorating and also worked for a design company here in Dallas for 4 years decorating homes for the holidays. Have done some contract xmas decorating some, but it's so hard to get it done for myself, let alone others.

And that map got SO much attention at the frame/craft store. Everyone was coming up and checking it out. We got lucky. The 1955-1959 maps were going for $250 and up and the 1960's going for $150. I somehow found someone who didnt' know what they had and sold it on ebay to me for $20.

I should feel guilty.......

My mother's village has gotten way out of hand. One year my brother and I each got her a piece for it. After Christmas she sent out a "Cease and Desist " (spelling?) order on all new building. It was pretty funny and she made it look like an official government document.

Aha, Mr. Z! The truth comes out! You are a PRO at decorating!

Don't feel guilty. The person sold it for what they wanted. ::yes::

My wife would love that village. She's got just a few pieces and hasn't yet put them out. Maybe I'll get her to do it this year. She's collecting Studio 56's Dicken's series. Her favorite so far is Marley's Ghost (house).

:scratchin It looks like the bear at the bottom of the stairs is waiting for Wally, Rosie, and Jamie at the airport! :rotfl2:

Zeit, looking at all of your Christmas decorations makes me feel like a bad gay. We put up a tree, our stockings, a wreath, and that's pretty much it.

Um, Rob? How do you put up a "stalking"? ;)

We just have stockings. But you know, we're straight...:rolleyes1

Mr. and Mr. Z, I am SUPER sad we will miss the party! The house is beyond beautiful!
