Jedi, Princesses and Disney Geeks...Oh My!! The Sweet Sixteen go to Disney!6-11 New

ACCKKK!! Ok, I've re-copied and re-uploaded to Photobucket...why won't my pictures show up? :confused3 Sorry, guys...I'll keep trying!

Edited...finally figured it out. You'd figure, after more than 500 posts, I'd know which information to copy from Photobucket!

Just a quick response to say I'm still reading along! I love the Disney Survey...I'll come back to do that sometime this weekend. :thumbsup2

The kids look so adorable in their Halloween Costumes!

Which of the Fab Five is your favorite? Probably Minnie, as well.
Who's the prettiest Disney Princess? I love Belle because she's a reader! But I think the new kid on the block, Tianna, is gorgeous!
Who's the greatest Disney Prince? Prince Phillip from Sleeping Beauty (he had the most character!) I also liked Aladdin...technically, a prince after he married Jasmine, right?
Who's the best villain? Hmmm....Maleficent was pretty freaky when I ws a kid.
Have you ever dressed up as a Disney Character? Surprisingly enough, I don't think I ever did.
Are there any Disney Characters that you simply cannot stand? Right now, we're just branching into the more "Disney Channel" phase than Playhouse Disney...I'm NOT a Hannah Montana fan.
Which movie was your favorite? My all-time favorite as a kid was the Rescuers. I think I saw it five times - and that was before even VHS tapes! Lately, I could watch Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast over and over again. But there aren't many I WOULDN'T watch like that...
Which movie made you cry? The Lion King - when Mufasa died.
Have you ever been to Disneyland? No, but my brother lives less than an hour away, and I WILL make it out there to visit him one of these days!
Have you ever been to Disney World? Oh, yes! As you can see from my sig...
Which park is the best? MK, but Epcot is a close second.
What's your favorite ride? Soarin'
What's your least favorite ride? It's not really a ride, but we didn't enjoy the Tiki Room much at all!
Would you ever work for Disney? Yes!! I'm with Shelley - we can be snowbirds down there together. Of course, my dream job for Disney would be singing in a show...but there aren't too many retirement-age characters that sing in Disney shows!!
Which is the best show at Disney? Ooh, tough one. We loved Nemo and Illuminations last year. But I also enjoyed FOTLK, though I haven't seen it since 2000!
Which is the best restaurant? Well, we've done mostly character meals lately...I loved the Brown Derby in 2000, and we enjoyed the Garden Grill last trip.
Which is the best hotel on Disney property? I'd stay at the Poly in a heartbeat!

Now, what are we interested in the most on this trip? These are probably the tops...
- Star Wars Weekends (we just finished watching the new episode of Clone Wars before the kids went to bed...I've had to surrender to this one. I was actually quite a fan when I was young, so I can kinda sorta keep up with DH as he shows off all of his SW geekiness...)
- Bippidy Boppity Boutique - Haley is SOOOO excited about this! She's been talking about it since she noticed girls that had been done up on our last trip. She doesn't know it, but my mom is splitting the bill with me to get her the whole kit and caboodle - dress and all! It's a ton of money, but she'll almost be 9, and how many more times will she want to do this (and not be Hannah Montana!!!!)
- Going with my mom and aunt. My mom loves Disney, but since Dad doesn't want to go back (he's decided that four trips is plenty....:confused3) she hadn't been able to. When we asked my Aunt Deedee to come along, though, she was absolutely ecstatic, and Mom had an instant roomie, so we were set! They're just as excited as we are now...well, ok, not quite, but almost!
- Maybe having an "adult night" while we're there. I love going with my kids, but there are things they just don't want to do! We had several hours where my in-laws took the kids in 2007 and we shopped and hit the MK with Tim and Shelley, and that was a ton of fun! I'm thinking, with so many of us going, that it won't be a problem to do it this time, too.
- Staying for a week!! We haven't gone for this long since I was a kid. I want to be able to take at least a slightly more relaxed pace than usual...in other words, I don't want to need to sleep for two days straight to make up for my vacation!
- CBR! Thanks to the pictures here on the DIS, I'm really excited about it. I love the idea of staying in a more centralized area (we have stayed at ASMo the past three trips), and I am also looking forward to the bigger rooms!

Ok, three posts in a row kinda sorta makes up for all my time away. :upsidedow I'll try to come back with some more dinner ideas (and some advice on BBB from anyone who might have tried it before) later this weekend.

Which of the Fab Five is your favorite? Mickey Mouse
Who's the prettiest Disney Princess? Ariel
Who's the greatest Disney Prince? Prince Eric
Who's the best villain? Ursula
Have you ever dressed up as a Disney Character? Minnie Mouse when I was little.
Are there any Disney Characters that you simply cannot stand? Does Hannah Montana count? :rotfl2:
Which movie was your favorite?Just one!!?? I can't do it. I have three. The Little Mermaid, Mary Poppins & Beauty & The Beast.
Which movie made you cry? The Little Mermaid...when King Triton turns her into a human!
Have you ever been to Disneyland? Nope.
Have you ever been to Disney World? Yes...Six times.
Which park is the best? The Magic Kingdom
What's your favorite ride? Soarin'
What's your least favorite ride? I don't think I have one!
Would you ever work for Disney? Absolutely!
Which is the best show at Disney? Spectromagic.
Which is the best restaurant? Hollywood Brown Derby.
Which is the best hotel on Disney property? Hmmm...I love them all!

I'm back!! I'm sorry, Shelley - I've left you to keep this up on your own! But I'm doing better (antibiotics and steroids will do that for you...of course, they'll also give you heart palpitations and insomnia, but, hey...;)) and my classwork is done, and the Boards aren't down - so here you go!
]

Hey Jen! I didn't know you were sick! Hopefully, you are on the road to recovery. The kids look so cute! I hope I haven't been hogging the PTR. I think we will get an adults night on this trip for sure. Last time was a lot of fun.:goodvibes

You both had great answers! I think we all need to work for Disney together!:thumbsup2

Things I love at Disney:

The attention to detail like these ride posters as you enter MK:

I'm doing fine now - as usual, just a sinus issue that wouldn't go away.

Excited about seeing you guys next week! I have to go do some more cleaning while Will the Beast is napping...I'll get back this weekend, though! GREAT pictures!

Yep, I think Shelley is right...we could all work for Disney together!! Maybe Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather from Sleeping Beauty??!? :lmao:

I decided to start a new segment on our PTR called "Things I am loving right now". Which is basically what has been making me happy lately.

1.Redbox movies. $1.00 for a new release is awesome! We are watching "The Proposal"right now and it is really cute.

2.The Big Bang Theory-So super funny! It makes being a geek cool.

3.Peppermint coffee from my local gas station. Seriously it is better than Starbucks. It is so good!

4.Listening to the Glee soundtrack and Christmas music.

5.Halloween clearance. I found a Tinkerbell bucket for 75 cents that I can use in my classroom.

6. The book Mousejunkies. I read the first page and I saw myself. It explains better than I ever could the reasons I love Disney and why we keep going back.

This is what I am loving right now. Feel free to add your own list as we pass the time until our vacation.

Oh I love your list!

I love love love Glee. I really need to get the music so I can listen to it. I'm gearing up for Christmas music too. I love this time of year!

Mousejunkies is a great book! I think they are coming out with a second one, I can't wait to read it.

Marc & I are huge fans of Redbox. We actually watched Transformers this morning, we hadn't seen it and now we are going to watch the second one tomorrow. The Proposal was a great movie!

The Big Bang Theory is another great show! Do you watch How I Met Your Mother?

Glee is so good! The soundtrack honestly is one of the first CD's I have bought in a long time. It has so many great songs on it. I didn't know there was going to be another Mousejunkies book. I will have to look for it. How I Met Your Mother is AWESOME! We have the first 3 seasons. It is so funny. Nail Patrick Harris rules.

I love How I Met Your Mother! It's a great show.

I might have to ask for the Glee Soundtrack for Christmas! I'm amazed by the singing in that show, so cool!

They are going to have a second soundtrack come out in December. It is already on my list.:thumbsup2

It is time for another list! This is a list of all the things I want to make for our trip.

1.Shirts
2.Mousekeeping Tip Envelopes
3.TS Tip Envelopes
4.Jen and I want to make everyone that is going a small bag with some little travel goodies in it.
5.Mint Matchbooks (or some other way to thank excellent CM's for their service). Mint Matchbooks
6.Door Decorations for each room in our party so we can tell who is staying where.

I figure these things can keep me busy during the winter.

In other news, I am so excited to see Christmas movies starting!:santa: The Family Channel has movies on each night until Christmas. Some of them are Disney movies. There is a schedule you can download here.

Also, in other Christmas related news more ads are being released for Black Friday. You can check them out here. I love the holidays! Someday I will make it to Disney at Christmas time!:santa:

I love the ABC Family Christmas Movies every year. They are so much fun, I look forward to them every Christmas. :santa:

The Mint Matchbooks look really neat!

For some reason, I wasn't getting emails when my Dis friends were posting. I think I've finally gotten all caught up on my subscriptions.

So, tell me, how do the mint matchbook thingies work? That sounds like a great idea. Since we are from Louisiana, I am thinking about buying a whole bunch of the mini Tabasco bottles and adding thank you tags to them to give to CMs.

I saw the Family Channel movie countdown advertisement this weekend too!

Okay, I'm off to check out the Black Friday website. Tah-tah!
