Flights For Dec 2010!! When Are They Released?

VA usually at 11 months out (currently booking up to Oct 9 2010) so rolled out through January. Looks like BA will be a couple of weeks earlier as currently booking up to Oct 28 2010...

Approx 11 months from return date, BA seem to be nearer 11 month from departure date.

Many airlines open up flight bookings 330 days in advance. So, depending on your dates for December '10, I'd guess that bookings will be available in January or early February. ;)

FWIW, I'm looking to book for next September and schedules/pricing for all the major contenders are available now. :)

Thanks Y'All for the quick responses :goodvibes

Here is hoping that i get the flight prices el cheapo for Dec 2010 when they are released :rotfl: :rotfl: Well i can HOPE :yay:

I have already been quoted £489 per adult for Virgin flights from 14 - 28th Dec 2010 and with two other airline for indirect flights via Charter Travel.

How are they able to do this if the schedules are not released yet?

Charter used to give approx price guides, when the flights are actually released they reserved the right to charge more. There was a thread on Dibb a few month back where this had happened, not very happy people, they thought they had definite prices. Usually they have a very good idea of what prices are going to be and charge quoted price.
No idea if this is still how they work but thats what I read.

I booked our flights to Orlando directly through virgin exactly 11 months before departure date(that was the day they were released). They were £1900 2 adults and 2 children. Last time i looked it was £2200 like for like.If you are booking as a package you can book earlier I think. I phoned up Virgin and i found them very helpful in explaining everything.

This make sense - now I understand how it works.

Just want the flight really as we have timeshare accommodation. Last time we booked flydrive with Virgin but arranged our own car rather than take their expensive insurance.

have ready that sometimes it can be cheaper to take a package and not use the accommodation - this could work for us.

Any suggestions???

Thanks, Camac

Only suggestion is look at all options, set a price and stick to it, something will turn up.
We have booked packages and left the room empty while cruising as it was cheaper to book flight and hotel than flight only. Last Xmas was cheaper to book flight and hotel than either Flydrive or Flight only. As its 2 weeks you want look at charters, Travel City Direct plus all the others.
Good Luck.

Will start the search.

Am flexible on dates - able to go anytime after 11th Dec returning 28th or 29th.

Thanks for your advice.
