If we use are debit card at Walmart and ask for cashback, do we pay any premium for the cash elimate or just the straight exchange rate conversion?

You will just pay the exchange rate conversion - just like getting money from an ATM. Only pay premium if withdrawing cash on a credit card not debit card (I work for Nationwide) :)

I am probably wrong, but i do not think you can pay with the debit card in Florida.
I used my Debit card to draw money out of Suntrust machines at Walmart, and there is no charge

Debit cards are accepted just like credit cards as I found out a few years back by mistake, bought a Mickey ice cream bar about $3, cost me another £1.50 in halifax fees:mad: I handed over my Halifax visa debit card instead of my Nationwide credit card:confused3
