Went Baby Shopping today

Didnt buy anything but wanted to have a look at some Prams see if we could decide which one wanted. There are soo many to choose from i have no idea where to begin!

Problem is me and DH do not agree on any of them at the moment
DH only wants a trendy 3 wheeler and any of the others he just doesnt have any interest in. I was looking for something more practical - easy to fold down and get in the boot etc.

So what does everyone else have and how are they?

i had a pram when ds 10 mths was born as i walked every where now i have a disney Hauck stroller which i love ..

The Mothercare one felt really wobbly and lightweight and when she turned it into a pushchair it was not very padded. You also have to take the seat off to fold it down which might not be great in the rain!

I dont really have a preference to any make or model, Just want something sturdy thats going to last and easy to fold up and get in my car.

we had a quinny buzz with morgan including the carrybot we loved it!

this time we have the baby jogger city mini double (you can get a single ) and its brilliant

I have this one for Jack and I love it. It folds no problem and looks really cozy and comfy. We got the carseat too and although that is really heavy (you wouldn't be able to carry it about for long) it is great when used with the pram/buggy. If Jack was sleeping when we got somewhere we didn't have to take him out of the seat just lifted him and the seat out of the car and clipped it on to the buggy. It's good when it is folded too as all the wheels are at one end. We have this one for my MIL and when it's folded, one set of wheels are at the bottom and one set are at the top which makes leaning it against a wall in the house a nightmare if the wheels are dirty, the M&P one stands up on its own when folded which is handy. The Chicco one is also very long and I cannot get it in my car boot without putting it in at angle.

Sorry I've waffled on but I hope that helps a little.

My friend has the my choice one, it does 4 wheels too if you prefer that, just beware of the air filled tyres!

I feel like we've had every pram and buggy going in the last seven years.

Included in the list:

Quinny Freestyle XL frame with lay flat pram (carrycot), car seat adapters, and buggy seat. So, a 3-in-1 really.
This was the original Quinny that worked along side maxi-cosi car seats, I loved it.

Less bulky McLaren umbrella stroller which was more for London transport when I went back to work, purchased when DD was about 10 months, great for every day use and great for holidays.

I have also had a Quinny Zapp lightweight very small folding buggy, I wouldn't recommend one.

Have you considered a Phil and Ted's? I wish these had been around when I'd had my first baby as I would have saved a small fortune on prams and buggys and buggy boards, as it converts into a twin for your toddler and newborn when you have your second baby I know you won't be thinking of that now, but might be worth a look. They are pricey but have a fantastic second hand resale value, my friends has just sold all of hers for about 60% of the initial cost after two years use.

I would always reccomend McLaren when you get to the stroller stage, they are built to last !

I agree, I got one when DD was 7 months and used up till she stopped using a stroller, my best "baby buy"!! It only cost £90 if I recall. It was great for going on trains & buses and took hardly any space in the boot.

I vote for a Quinny - for walking and comfort. The type that lays flat and is compatible with a carseat. The handle of mine was adjustable, which was great because DH is very tall and I am very small.
For later on - it has to be maclaren stroller.

I love that mamas and papas one! Looks really nice! I'll have to pop there in my lunch break and take a look! I'll take a look at the quinny website too!

I love the Mickey Mouse one too! Hmmm i wonder if i could get one when im there in a few weeks

We had a Graco Tour when DD was born, you could put the car seat on it - which was great for when she was sleeping. It was easy to fold, but rather heavy. We also had a Maclaren Day Tripper umbrella buggy which we still use now for DS, nice and light and easy to fold (and get on the trams at WDW )

When DS arrived we had the Mothercare Tandem double buggy which was the same as the Graco one but branded as Mothercare, it was a great buggy and again we could fit the car seat on it.

I really wanted a Phil and Teds, but at the time budget wouldn't allow!

Im torn now lol! Gary's mum can get a discount on Quinny so she is pushing me to get one of those. I just prefer the Silver cross one at the moment.

dd is now 3 but when we bought her pram we originally bought a 3 wheeler silver cross, I'd had a silver cross with ds and really liked the quality and as dh wanted a sporty model we ended up with the 3 wheeler silver cross xt .. it was a dream to push, really easy to put up and down, fit the car seat too etc but it didn't fit in the boot of my car so I ended up having to use dh's car on the days I wanted to go out. After a few months we decided this was inpractical and the silver cross was parked in the garage (it's still there today complete with change bag, rain cover, cosy toes, et) and we bought a Jane Carerra (in pink) which I loved, it was really easy to put up and down, great to push, had much more space on the bottom for shopping etc and I pretty much used this non stop until I bought a cheap Disney Hauck buggy reduced to silly money in argos which we use occasionally if dd is tired before we go out. My favourite out of the three has to be the Jane, it's great quality, lightweight enough to lift in and out of my car with no problems, plenty of storage space and has great recline positions which were ideal for dd.
