Anyone lucky enough to book the Disney dream today
if so what did you book

We are thinking about Aug 2011 for one of the 5 nights
but have to wait until next Monday before we can even get a quote

Not ringing and messing with phone calls, will wait until prices come online. I am expecting them to be more than I am willing to pay. Prices on Wonder 4 nights next August are same price I paid for 7 nights on Magic this August.
Just priced up again
4 nights on Wonder Aug 2010 £1,573
7 nights Magic Aug 2009 £1,659

They have gone up too much for me unfortunately.
Been pricing another RCCL today same dates as above on Wonder, RCCL outside stateroom, £600, DCL are great but not worth £1,573 compared to £600 for same dates.

Unfortunately not.....I am booked on the last Alaskan cruise in August 2011 so maybe sometime in 2012 or 2013 we will sail on the dream???

YES!!!! :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

It wasn't looking good for my daughter to get sufficient leave for the Panama Canal so we decided to try for the Dream Inaugural cruise instead. Didn't actually believe we'd get on BUT we are (thanks to Tracy of DU) and trying out a Cat 9A on Deck 8 at the front of the ship!!! :goodvibes

Lucky you :cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:
we will be waiting for the trip report :surfweb:

We've booked an Oct 2011 4 night cruise. Pleasantly surprised by the prices - $1000 for 2 adults, cat 11b. We will be platinum on our next cruise (Oct 2010) - cannot wait!

so have you decided to book this

Don't think so. May 2011 we are possibly/probably doing Alaskan cruise with HAL or RCCL so might give cruising a miss 2010, done 3 in last 18 months( 2x DCL & 1x RCCL) But £200pp outside stateroom for 4 nights is tempting.

Hi Wayne. Can you give me some more info on the RCCL cruise? I loosed at the biz class flights you mentioned on another post, WOW, just need to win the lottery now.

Done 2 cruises from Port Canveral with RCCL, both on Sovereign of the Seas but she has been moved to another part of the company and been replaced by Monarch of the Seas.
I just did a quick search with TC, elsewhere may be cheaper.
ww .tho masc ook. com/cruise
this link might work, its for August 2010, I was looking at 23rd August for 4 nights.
cruises .tho masc ook. com/travel/c...earch/cruiseSearch.jsp.cruiseSearch&x=54&y=25

Outside cabid Deck 8 for 3 adults £686 without prepaying tips(£78) £608

Info on Monarch here if link works. If not Google the Monarch Of The Seas its the 1st result.

thats great wendy!!
How are you and your mum?well i hope.

We're both great - just back from a week at WDW and the Magic! Great cruise as usual - how are you all doing? So jealous of your next cruise - wish i could get time off school to do it!

I loved the inside virtual portholes on the Dream - we are of the view that the cabin is where we sleep and don't hang out too much there so we would usually book an inside unless on the Wonder or Magic there was a SPH available. I am looking forward to sailing on the Dream but we won't be going anytime soon.

We have booked the 8 night Dover to Barcelona cruise on the MAgic next year. The Baltic was too expensive for my pocket so soon after a trip to Florida with cruise last summer so we opted for this one instead. The chance to drive to the port and board the Magic was too tempting!!!

I am hoping that in 2012 they reoffer the Baltic sailings so if that is announced next autumn we will save for that and not return to Florida until 2013 or 2014 at which point I WILL book the Dream or Fantasy depending on our holiday plans.

I will look forward to trip reports from the new ship with baited breath though :)

That's a cool idea, Mel!!! :thumbsup2 I hadn't thought of that but it would be a fab plan... We were booked on the 1st Baltic in 2010 but couldn't get past the expense  so we ended up switiching to the late August Med cruise as that was much cheaper and warmer!!! :rotfl2: I know my DH was a little sad tho' as he really wanted to go to St Petersburg so will definitely be keeping my fingers crossed for a return to that itinerary for 2012... :goodvibes

Well my theory is that they will want to tie in with the 2012 olympics and so a series of Baltic cruises out of Dover similar to those they have done this time will mean they can cash in on the tourists who will want to be in this part of the world around the end of July.

The only problem is that might boost not lower prices. We are cruising this year then saving like mad for the Baltic and if they don't announce that for 2012 we will have the money ready for something else. My DH has always fancied the Baltics and so have I, I know other lines go there and cheaper but we love DCL and we know that our children will be happy onboard too.
