Booking through UK Site & Tickets question

I've been looking at the free dining offer at OKW through the UK site, if we booked it we'd have to take the 7 day premium tickets. We already have AP's that we'll want to renew when we're there to take advantage of the 15 month renewal offer. So (finally I get to my question )

Has anyone upgraded the 7 day tickets to AP's and do you know what value they apply to these tickets when upgrading?

This was a thread from a few month ago regarding upgrading the 14 day tix. Not sure if its easier to upgrade 7 day tix. We never bothered trying, decided to give up our AP's, Disney's loss as if we go back at Easter we are doing a trip without Disney.

Thanks Wayne, it might be easier with the 7 day ticket. I just did a quick google search and it says that these tickets expire 14 days from first use but that you can buy the non expiry option for them so that sounds promissing.

We prefer AP's as we can get more than one trip out of them.

I do believe the 7 day is easier to upgrade usually but not sure on the DDP deal. Hopefully you will get it done.

We had AP's for 2 years, got 7 trips out of them, great value. We knew this next year we wouldn't get as many trips in with DS in final year of GCSE's.

I'm not sure you could use the 7 day ticket to renew an AP with the free months Jakki, it would probably be more of an issue deciding on the exchange rate to use as well.

When were you thinking of for doing this? We might for October next year and just make the tickets non-expiry and use them for my Mum.

I'd would be trying to upgrade the tickets in the summer but if I couldn't do it then I'd just keep them to use in 2011

Someone posted recently they were offered hard tickets but only valid until end of year.

I had exactly the same problem this year. Had to buy the 14 day tickets to get the free dining but we were already AP holders. Luckily when I booked the 14 day passes were only around £160 each. By the time I went, they were £221. (Due to exchange rate) When I was there, I asked at the hotel reception (SSR) and they took the tickets off my key card and gave me 3 separate tickets. I was then able to sell them when I got home. Sold 2 to my best friend and got the price I paid. They were happy as £60 cheaper per ticket than they would have paid. Sold the other one on Ebay for for than I paid. However after EBAY fees, I broke even. Therefore I would go ahead with upgrading your AP as they should be easy enough to sell if you are unable to upgrade. Was still a great deal as we saved a fortune with free dining.

I had no idea you could put a no expiry option on the UK Ultimate tickets. How do you go about it, can you do it here and what does it cost? We usually get 14 day ticket, so just wondering if it is worth the cost of No Expiry if it is too high - as opposed to simply purchasing 21 day tickets which are only nominally more than the 14 day.

Sorry, I know it is rude to ask so many questions in one sentence. Can you imagine what I am like in person!?!

Its not possible to add no expiry option to 14 day tix, what is being discussed here is either upgrading a UK ticket to Annual pass or keeping the unused pass for a future visit because they still have active Annual passes.
