wishes dessert party (if available) or wishes cruise

if it were to just be your family on the cruise i would say the cruise nothing beats a bit of privacy :)

we did the dessert party in sept and I think i will look at the cruise for our anniversary next year

We did the cruise with just 4 of us after the wedding and it was fantastic - we were out on the water for over an hour and a half, and had a fantastic captain who could give us loads of trivia :thumbsup2

we've done both, i'm glad i did the dessert party but to be honest i probably wouldnt do it again. there were a lot of people and it did seem very busy. but then again the cruises have gone up in price A LOT since we had one, so it depends on your budget really

I did both last month & absolutely hands down the Wishes Cruise wins by a mile! :thumbsup2

I'll be happy to answer any questions on either. :)

Hello, I cannot believe I am putting this in print (sorry everyone) but do they have toilets on board?? Just thinking with a few children it is a good question to ask !!

There will be eight of us so I know the cruise would be slightly dearer but not that much.

Also I notice you get snacks ... what would you call snacks?? :goodvibes

No they don't have toilets but it's only about 90 mins at the max so i'd make sure little one's go beforehand....otherwise they'll be doing it over the edge of the boat! :lmao:

The snacks were cans of soda, bottles of water & crisps, all included so you can have as much as you like. You can also get room service delivered from whichever resort you get on the boat at (obviously that isn't included in price). They also have blankets onboard so if it's chilly you can snuggle up together. :cloud9:

I've only done the Wishes Cruise which me and the bf shared with 2 other families, not sure I would have done it otherwise as it's a lot of money... Nice experience to have once but I doubt we'd do it again. We were going to do the DP this year but Disney cancelled my booking without telling me, in hindsight though we felt like the DDP had soo many desserts anyway that we wouldn't have made the most of paying for more.

We did the dessert party in August. It was good to get a good view of the fireworks without having to stand for ages, but there are a lot of people and it didn't feel as "exclusive" as we had hoped. Also, there are only so many puddings you can eat without feeling thoroughly ill:sick: It does also put you at the wrong end of Main Street for a quick exit after the fireworks. All in all it was something different to do this year, but would not book it again.

Nope no toilets... TBH the boats aren't that big really, we had 10 people on ours and though it wasn't a squash as such it was definitely the maximum (officially and in terms of space!)

Here is a photo of the Wishes boat if that helps....

For how many would this size be for??? :goodvibes

It's a ten seater. You have two three seaters at the front facing each other then like a corner sofa type seat at the back which seats four. :thumbsup2

Any one know how far in advance a wishes cruise can be booked? Is it 90 or 180 days? Is calling the only way to do it or can it be done online? Thanks :) x
