Well you don't get our soggy muddy days so that's a silver lining, right? You are actually closer to Spokane....do you go there much?

It's so funny, I had such a negative image of it based on no good reason other than people from Seattle pick on Spokane, and I had a good friend from there who picked on it herself. We spent the night there on our surprise road trip, my kids had SO much fun in the afternoon/evening we were there they think Spokane is a really cool town.

Go figure.

I think I'm going to pay a young adult that we know to stay at night with the kids. Evan will be driving so he'll get to do carpool and taxi service.

I don't think it's green year round, a heck of a lot colder there in the winter but it grew on me a lot.

I've had a few hair raising experiences on snoqualmie.

That's highway 2 for me. I was completely freaked driving it solo this summer. Which is ridiculous but the bad karma on it has happened in both winter and summer.

The details...


They say "the devil's in the details"....I'm not sure what that means...glenn?....

To me it means I will become obsessed with the details and end up with 50 different itenerary versions.

This year the details will be a little simpilar because it's just dh and I.

In 2006 D.Jay and I made our first trip to WDW. It was going to be a one time deal. We live in Washington so it's a long trip. Well, after about 2 hours of being there we knew we had to take our kids.

2007 came and we surprised our kids with a trip. Again, it was going to be a one time thing....I ended up needing a dentist and pain pills, which messed up our vacation.

2008...and we had to have a re-do! I was really sad when that ended because I knew it sould be at least 3 years before we could return.

2009....we took the kids and mother in law....are you seeing a pattern here?

After that trip I KNEW we wouldn't be able to afford going for at least another year because of remodeling our house.
Then disney released the buy4 get 3 deal.....which means I'm saving money by going!

Which brings us to our next vacation....

Feb 3-10th just D.Jay and I .

We're staying at CBR, which I'm really excited about.

This trip should be more relaxing because we know what we really want to see and do. Plus without kids or the mother in law....it should be free of drama!
