Team Renfroe's 2nd Trip Report - 1,500 pictures, dining reviews, and DISmeets!

Finally, on Day 7, we were able to sleep in! Juliana was so exhausted that she had fallen asleep at the dinner table the night before. Day 7 was basically unplanned; the only plans were our meal reservations. We had a late lunch scheduled at the Coral Reef at Epcot at 1:15pm and dinner at The Yachtsman Steakhouse at 7:45pm. Other than that, we didn't know what our day would be like!

About 9am, the kids and I were up and ready for the day. The three of us decided to drive to El Centro (the main building at Coronado Springs Resort) and have breakfast at the Pepper Market. Meanwhile Elizabeth stayed in the room to start doing some preliminary packing and cleaning the room. This was our next to last day, but we still had two full days of WDW left on our vacation.

On Sunday, we had visited Epcot and Elizabeth had purchased a French rolling pin from the France Pavilion. We had them to send it back to our resort's store, Panchito's. Since we were there anyway, we went by to pick it up.

Then we walked to the Pepper Market for a light breakfast.

We remembered to take our refillable mugs with us!

The kids both decided that they just wanted pastries:

I had the breakfast skillet. Yum!

Coming up next, a late morning and afternoon at Epcot...and lunch at Coral Reef.

You guys are the coolest vacationers ever. I keep saying that we will have a sleep in day but it's hard for me to pull out of early morning park mode. I keep thinking that the kids will be disappointed but your children don't seem to be. As a matter of fact, they look happy and well rested!! Oh, and that Skillet looks yummo! Is that cheese sauce? :thumbsup2

:hyper: you have me very excited about my ressie in December now!! :hyper:

I love me some sushi!

If you remotely enjoy sushi, California Grill is AMAZING!

Oh, speaking of sushi, I have a neat story. Some of our regular customers at B.F. Dawgs came in one day this past week and ordered four plain hot dogs. They brought in a cooler of their own ingredients and made what they called a "Tokyo" dog. They ordered three of the dogs for themselves, and one for Elizabeth and I to try!! They gave her a bag of Uncle Ben's microwavable steamed rice to put in the microwave. Then, they put the rice on the hot dog, along with soy sauce, wasabi, and pickled ginger on top. I couldn't believe it.....it tasted great! We liked it so much that we are going to make it our December Dawg of the Month! It was like having sushi and hot dog all at the same time! Yes, definitely a weird combination....but I thought it was great!

Thanks for taking us on a walk around the CSR. The resort is beautiful.

I love, love, love CSR!! :lovestruc

You guys are so cute! I am so excited to go back to CSR next year! we <3 it too now!

Isn't it the greatest? I've stayed at much fancier places, but I think for a family trip at Disney World, it's hard to beat CSR. I'm glad you all enjoyed it as much as we did.

Well, let me tell you....it really is not my nature to just relax and have a sleep-in day at Disney. However, the rain was still going to be a factor on this day. Otherwise, we probably would have spent the day at Typhoon Lagoon. Oh well.....we figured Epcot would be pretty 'rain-friendly.' And you are definitely right.....the kids and I were well rested!

That sounds great! A little weird, but I'd give it a shot!!:thumbsup2 Cool!

All is well here thanks. We leave 2 weeks tomorrow for Disney and free dining. With a trip to Narcoossee's that came about from this very trip report. :thumbsup2

Pre-packing 2 days ahead. No way. That would depress me too much. I do the one hour ahead method.

So will you name the new dawg after the customer if you decide to keep it on the menu?

Welcome back! Loved the California Grill review, the sushi looked beautiful. I am a huge sushi fan so I might be trying a roll on the next trip. Looking forward to more! :)

Wow, been away for over a month and expected to take forever to catch up but, here I am. I just laughed out loud and my hubby asked "what?" Told him it was odd to see pics of CSR now that we've been there. We really liked our stay (09/27-10/04). We went commando with plans for every day. Came home absolutely exhausted. Since we had a deal on the room, no free dining for us. We opted for the quick service plan and that was plenty of food. Can't imagine the deluxe plan.

I figured you'd be up for it.....like me, you are usually the first one in the boat to try something new! It was a bizarre combination, but it definitely worked.

that isn't that odd at all, we will make Spam sushi at times. good minnesnowtans, ya' know.

Ahhhh....Spam. You can't beat Spam! I would have thought you were Hawaiian!

Good for you guys! A nice little break in there! I bet you needed a little time to catch up on some sleep!

Well, I make it sound like we slept until sometime in the afternoon, but for us on this trip "sleeping in" meant getting up at 9am instead of 6am! I'm not going to waist those precious Disney hours!

Oh, I hope you all enjoy Narcoossee's! I definitely recommend the Whole Maine Lobster, especially if it is FREE!

I love the one-hour ahead method for packing!....uh....usually....but not so much for Disney. You know me....I'm a planner!

Oh, you bet we will name the new dawg after the customer! For example, the November Dawg of the month is going to be called the Couch potato. (One of our employees' last name is Couch, and the dawg she created is a Sour Cream Baked Potato Salad on top of a Bacon-Wrapped Dawg!)

Oh, I am totally IN!!! I am heading over there as soon as I finish this post. I will be posting on the new thread.

Glad to hear you all enjoyed CSR. I think it is just so peaceful, and we love the pools. I particularly enjoyed the queen-sized beds this year.

Going commando at Disney World for a week will definitely wear you out! I think I slept for a day and a half once we got home!

After a late start to our day, we were off to Epcot. This was another first for us - we decided to drive instead of taking the bus. We got there MUCH faster. This was a view of Epcot I had not had before:

The skies were really dark again on this day....but so far, no rain.

You may recall that on our earlier visit to Epcot, Wil was really wanting to see The Universe of Energy. Well, as promised, we decided to go there first.

I know there are a lot of people who do not care for this attraction, but we actually really enjoyed it! I think it was one of those attractions that we weren't really expecting to like, then became pleasantly surprised. It is a very LONG attraction, however.

Next, we all went to Mission Space and rode twice!

After that, we went to get FastPasses for Test Track. Fortunately, we didn't have to wait too long.

In the meantime, we decided to check out some of the displays within InnoVentions:

Finally, it was time to ride one of our family's favorites: Test Track!

By the time we finished Test Track, our late lunch reservation at Coral Reef was approaching, so we headed over to The Seas pavilion. By this time it was raining again.

We are thinking about doing universe of energy also. I am just a little scared that my 5 year old will get bored and want out!!
