Hi all, I’m new to this so any help/advice is appreciated. We’re looking to book next year and have been shopping around. We’re thinking we want to be on-site at Disney. Have been to Orlando before but not onsite.

I have looked at Virgin Holidays and Disney UK however the cheapest by quite a distance is Complete Orlando! We’re looking for accom only as we can sort flights elsewhere. Looks like they only charge a small deposit as well. Anyone booked with them/ know much about them? Thanks a lot. :thumbsup2

havent used them myself but was going to but disney uk got the deal back with 42% off and free dining at saratoga springs for next eyar and were cheaper so we booked with them

the one thing that put me off was they were late in renewing their ATOL protection which meant anyone booking during that time was not covered if they went bust.

I know alot have booked with them on here though as the deal was on there and not on disney uk

Thanks for the note. Looks like Complete Orlando have the same deals as Disney, but are lots cheaper plus they are giving a Planet Hollywood meal voucher per person (?), free wine voucher (?) and a Brits Guide?! Now this can’t be bad!! :cool1:

Checked and everything looks fine with the ATOL thing, but doesn’t matter as we’re looking for accom only. Always pay on cc as this is another safe guard! Just need to decide on which resort now?

Welcome to DISboards Boycee.

Just had a look for our trip next August, 21 nights at OKW with Free DDP & 21 day tix.

Complete Orlando, your total holiday cost is £ 2,835
Disney.co.uk, Total Price £2,877.00

But with Disney 3 sites now give cashback upto 4.5% so that will bring £2,877 down to £2,747.53 or £87.47 cheaper than Complete Orlando.

Direct with Disney you get this package
Magical Extras
EARmails Service

Don't know anything about Complete Orlando so glad Disney are cheaper for me.

Hi wayneg, thank you.

Thanks for your help on this. It’s a mine-field!!

Well, I’m undecided on dates still, either April time or August. I’ve just checked AKL on both and Disney are £600 more expensive than Complete Orlando for April (even greater if I include flights as well), that’s a big difference for the same hotel/tickets.

Our August dates the difference was about £300 for accom only. These Planet Hollywood meal vouchers are worth £15 each so that’s another £45. I’ll keep looking! I’ll take a look at this cashback thing as well.

Yeah, they also offer a lot of what you’ve put on there...they said something about a big booklet of Disney vouchers/ discounts etc.?

Back to it....thanks.

We've booked with Disney UK and got a $15 off Planet Hollywood Voucher per booking. £15 is a reasonable deal if it's pp - adds up to one meal for the family certainly :thumbsup2 Although, you might want to count in the fact that PH has some iffy reviews and in April we decided to not bother even with the coupon as even with an ADR we were told the wait would be up to 1 hour :scared1:

Definitely the best thing is to do what you're doing and shop around - good luck :thumbsup2

Wish I could find a saving like that for my dates! Complete Orlando is whole £7 cheaper for us for our dates!

Wayneg, when we book Saratoga the "EARmails service" was not included... do you think since we are new to this it might be worth asking if we can add this one??

I know nothing about it, this was 1st I heard of it when I posted today. Looks like something I would untick rather than want to subscribe to.
If its something you want to do send them an email with your booking ref and ask, I don't see why they wouldn't add it to your booking.

EARmails is a free holiday e-service to act as your personal assistant and make sure you have everything you need for your trip as well as handy advice and insider tips.
You will be sent communications including news and offers that may be of interest to you, specific to your trip. If you do not wish to receive this, please un-tick this box. This service is independent from general registration with the Disney Group of Companies

I've booked our secret week next August with complete orlando as Disney were dearer. We got the free DDP with our package and it was about £200 cheaper than going direct with Disney UK :banana:
