I have the flu. Not sure if it's swine flu, not that it really matters. I'm the only one sick in the house so far, thank goodness. I'm also the only one who didn't get a flu shot. I work in a hospital, and they have flu shots for all employees.....but they haven't given them yet. They are planning to start next week. Our supervisor said on Monday that it's because the director of nursing/health/whatever was on vacation, and the RN didn't feel like she could get everyone, so they're waiting until the other lady gets back. Uh? It's a hospital, there are plenty of nurses who can help give the shots.....

Do you talk like the Swedish chef from the Muppets/Sesame Street when you make the meatballs? That would be funny.

Good luck with the CT.

Good Morning!

PBF - Good luck with the scan this morning, call me when you get back

PBF- thanks for asking. He's home and doing a bit better. but like you it's going to be slow and at least a few months. Mom is going to go down next week to stay with them and check on her mother.

hang in there on putting stuff together my SU rep has us doing projects this weekend and since I'm her go to person I'm driving myself nuts trying to find supplies at this date.

Off to raid FIL's basement and see what I can find

Yesterday, I did hit a speed bump in the schedule. I got a late start, took longer to get the paint than I thought, so I only managed to get the scrap room primed. Painting took longer than expected too, but I did surprisingly well at getting the primer on the walls and not on my clothes, the drop cloths, my hair, my skin, etc. It's been about 14 years since I've painted anything, so I was quite pleased. Only, I was so worried about getting too much paint everywhere, that I actually didn't fill the roller as much as I should, so it looks pretty bad...hopefully the top coats will even out. The closet looks great because I did it after I figured out my problem.

DH took today off with the Radon people coming to install the system today, but it means I'll have help at the house. After the next two days, things should really get moving because we won't be having any more people come in and we can start moving our stuff into the main parts of the house. We've been keeping everything in the garage so far.

House - Day 5

Load to the house
Pick up breakfast
Radon guy comes @ 9
Ceiling in scrap room
First topcoat in scrap room
DH - wipe down last bedroom upstairs
After radon work is done, empty out carpeted areas to prepare for carpet people coming tomorrow
Take down medicine cabinet in bathroom to prepare for painting
Go to Sears Outlet to look at Fridge

Deb - Happy birthday to DsS!
AWM- I thought I knew what you meant, but then second-guessed myself until joyah confirmed it... ouch. But it's for a good purpose, at least. Hope all goes well. :)
B^3- Ugh.... take care of yourself! That's silly, their line of reasoning... now they're down an employee, and maybe more than one.
Mom - I vote none of the above.... just kidding. Uhm.. Quiche.

Today:
Up
Write a paragraph because I thought it was due today, but then it might be due Monday, but I don't want to take chances...

Read more of The Aeneid
Head to school
Class #1 - turn in paragraph (?)
Advising appointment for next semester's classes
Class #2 - We're having some famous guy come in to talk about how he's translating the Aeneid... :scared:
Home
Dinner
Homework
Sleep

I'm working. It's DH's birthday too! He's slightly older than your DsS though Deb ;)

Don't want to be here, want to be at home cuddled up in my bed with my kitty cats and a book. I think I'll have a "me" day tomorrow.

AWM, good luck with the squeeze.

Hope everyone has a great day.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DS of Deb and HAPPY BIRTHDAY DH of MM!!

Quick drive by - gotta run already today - several funny comments to make -but no time! I hate when that happens

Little one seems cranky today. OH NO. I have a scratchy throat. Guess we will both take it easy after this first run. Gotta go correct Horse Expo written exams at 4H office.

Will check in later and attempt to be witty! Everyone hang in there!

Mom - I vote none of the above.... just kidding. Uhm.. Quiche.

Snotty kid! Actually, I was leaning towards the quiche, too... Maybe her highness will eat out (on her dime!) the next two nights if she doesn't want the bisque or meatballs! princess: I do have to work a make-your-own-pizza night in there somewhere, too.

I'm back from the scan (took all of 5 minutes!) and now just have to wait until tomorrow for the doc to call back with the results...

Since I made it back much earlier than I thought, I can now work in more laundry loads and walking the dog. Woo woo...sigh. :sad2: And, of course, call TB!

Joyah - glad he is on the mend - we can heal together!
Hopemax - what a fun and exciting time! Hope you're taking LOTS of "before" photos so you can appreciate the "after" ones that much more! I love painting/wallpapering rooms - it is such an instant gratification type of project. Have fun!

Yum, I love quiche! DH has decided he wants Italian for dinner. So, I'm thinking of going with my old standby of Risotto, or shaking things up and getting Lasagna or Eggplant Parm. :confused3

Yum, I love quiche! DH has decided he wants Italian for dinner.

Boy, you're nice! My DH and gang don't usually get much choice around here. Our dinners are planned out about a week or so ahead and stuck to the refrigerator door with little "Monday" "Tuesday" etc. magnets. I typically sit with the sale flyers, our calendar of events, and peek in the freezer/pantry to develop the list. So, the whole week is visible and if someone doesn't want the main course, they can usually choose leftovers, hotdogs, or salad.

It's his birthday, so we're eating out. The birthday person gets to pick their restaurant. I do need to be better about scheduling foods for dinners, otherwise we eat out WAY too much!

i too have to do the calendar with supper menu. i have to know what to take out the night before. otherwise it would be the ole'

what do you want?
i don't know what do you want?
i said i don't care, what about you?

and that gets old real quick!
