So needless to say my wipeout on a wet frostted grassy hill yesterday has left me moving VERY slow and feeling stupid. At least today I can turn my neck and my heads not pounding quite so badly, somebody come beat my husband since he's got a cold the world is ending.:scared1:

Have to go make a lunch and run it to school. Little Bit will freak out when he sees it is rib sandwiches. ICK. Think McD's only grosser, fattier and chewier. And not in a good way.

Chilly chilly here today too! It snowed yesterday. Check out the Patriots game coverage from yesterday. I think they had 3 inches in Foxboro, it's all gone now though.

  • Go to WM and look for MS punches - NOPE
  • I'm working. My boss is out for most of the day - his wife is still recovering from hip surgery, but he will be in later.
  • I need to do some research about what we are going to do at our Junior meeting tomorrow.
  • Leftover tacos for dinner tonight
  • Homework duty
  • Dishes

Hope everyone has a great day. Christy, take it easy!

Morgansmommy2000, off to the naughty mat, you said and typed out the word!!!! ;)

It's cold here too...supposed to be a little bit warmer mid week...but like I told the kids..that is just toying w/ everyone to be complacent in their dress and than illness follows.. :(

Today:

I'm taking a me day.. I'm doing what I want and I don't care what is said! ;)
It's our first official day off w/ NO practices.. We have 2 weeks off and than DS13 has basketball season starting..

House - Day 3

So far we are accomplishing everything we need to get done, but not everything we want/hope to get done. So we're not behind, but I was hoping we'd get ahead of schedule since I know there are going to be things that will take longer than we expect. I think it might be today. And every night, when we come back to the apartment DH and I repeat, "I don't want to be here."

Workin' in the Scrap Room!

Load to the House
Spackle
Sand the walls
Wash everything down
Mask
Home Depot (primer, paint)
Mattress Delivery 12-2

Ideally, I would like to be able to prime the walls today, that's the thing I don't think is going to happen.

Christy- you be careful!

so can i just tell all of you home many times i said to bubba today....
"now don't get dirty. and no silly smiles. and no blinking. and...."

he got on the bus and probably said to himself, oh thank goodness i going to school. my mother drives me crazy!!!!

Hope It will all get done. don't stress over it now.

Thanks for the well wishes and the be carefuls. I forget not to literally run headlong into my lists. I'm trying to lay low but need to get something done. I"ve told DH at least 5 times a year for the past 4 years he needs to build some steps into this little hill going down to the pool filter and he hasn't. This isn't the first time I've fallen there but it's definately the worst one normally I land on my well padded butt.

Holly My boys get the same speach for picture day, and they just yes me to death durning it.

Nancy you deserve a me day!

Okay off to change over laundry.

Hi, all! 24th anniversary today! Nothing special planned - DH will pick up some sirloin tips at the store on his way home tonight and we'll have that with bearnaise sauce - yum! - our favorite. Z2H will have to celebrate with us after she gets home from work later tonight. No presents for each other - months ago we signed up for a weekly evening waltz class that starts next week - and that was our gift to each other. (Just what I want to do NOW...spinning around when I'm already constantly dizzy!)

I haven't posted here in a few days - I went to the neurologist last week and got SO crushed and depressed. The tests she gave me any third grader would have aced and I had so much trouble. (I was going to post here and call it "Are You Smarter Than A Third Grader? NO!") She said I do have delayed processing speed and brain injuries in perhaps a few places (based upon the test areas) thanks to the car crash and concussion. I'm going for a CAT scan this week. The good news is that she thinks these problems will be temporary and will heal - probably within a few MONTHS! (But in rare cases it can last a year!) Ugh! So, no driving and I get to feel loopy, spacey, and stupid for a while longer...

I've been feeling rotten and sorry for myself, but yesterday, TinkerBean drove Z2H and I around so we got to do a fun run to Ms/Js/ACM. A little retail therapy (DCWV Travel Stacks for $2.97!) and 5/.95 paper made me feel better! And I finally got to work on family layouts, since I'm all done with my swaps!

Off now to walk the poor dog (finally!) and I'll take the bus to do some shopping before the kids get home from school. We're lucky to live somewhere where public transportation is so handy.

Christy, sorry not to have made it up to see you while the foliage was so pretty. It is probably over by now in VT. Sigh... Hope you feel better soon - be careful!!!

PBF You're more important than folliage. there is next year or spring for sugaring season or both!! At least it's temporary although a VERY large pain. Sounds very much like what my uncle is dealing with. I hope that you are reporting all of this to the ins company. The other divers ins should be handling this all. Hang in there I wish I was closer to help.

Mornin' All!

Christy - ouch!

Nan - Yay for Me Days!!

PBF - so sorry to hear about the neuro eval. We will pray for continued healing. Be patient with yourself.

MONDAY - ttthhhbbbtttt - my Monday list is always long but has on it things that need to be done over the week. I have to make the list because by Monday afternoon I will have forgotten them!:rotfl::rolleyes::sad2:

DD up, dressed, fed and off to bus with MIL
Little one up and fed
Laundry started
Load and start dishwasher

Wash things that can't go in dishwasher - still staring at me
Little DD to The Little Gym class - moved to tomorrow
Make DMV appt - turn in PRK vision form
Call CPA - have 2008 tax return emailed
Gather info and deliver to bank for construction loan
Return Horse Expo written exams to County office
PU horse grain and automatic waterer - rain ruined our grain - ewwww - tomorrow
Evaluate horse abcess
Make decision on horse I looked at - sooo want one - timing is just bad - so I know the answer here....but did I mention sooooooo want one.
Find an item for 4th grade silent auction basket
Write a recipe down for 4th grade cookbook
Find and purchase prizes for cake decorating contest at Fall Festival

OK guess thats it for today. Gotta go switch laundry to dryer and get out of the house. Everyone have a Good Monday.

Ouch, Christy, take a nice hot shower and something for the pain. I hear you on the husband cold issue. When my husband has a cold, he is certain it's the flu. When I am sick, oh, it's just a little case of the sniffles. ;)

Get myself to the nearest mall - my Macbook cracked, and luckily, it's under warranty for another two weeks. I just need a new keyboard cover, but... ARG!

Thank goodness it is under warranty still

Have to go make a lunch and run it to school. Little Bit will freak out when he sees it is rib sandwiches. ICK. Think McD's only grosser, fattier and chewier. And not in a good way.

I am with Little Bit on this one.

He is probably thinking Boy, my Mom sure takes good care of me in her own crazy way. ;) :rotfl2:

Oh, PBF, I am so sorry about your neuro eval, but let's hold on to the news it will be temporary and will heal. I know it won't be as quickly as you'd like but that is good news that she feels it is temporary. Accent the positive, my friend.

My Monday to do list:

Wood
Communication book
Get DD up and ready for school.
Caffeinate
Work
Call Mom
Lasagna for dinner
Watch DWTS - LIIIIIIIIIIIIVE
Watch Castle if I manage to stay up that late.

How much can you fit in your wood stove and how long does it last before you have to reload?

AWM Ours is a wood furnace (not the outdoor models) we use about 15 pieces of wood daily and feed it 3-5 times. It could hold a LOT more but any more than that and I've got windows and doors open and it-20 out. the heating guy thought log cabins=drafty. It took us a good 3 years to figure out how much. If we're gone from the house or overnight we put in more. Tom fed it last night at 8:30 and just at 6:30 and it was still 70 in here which is cool......

We can put 30" length logs in our woodstove. DH puts in about three logs when he gets up at 3:00 am, I put in another two at 7:00 am before I leave for work. Another three when he gets home at 1:00 pm, another three when we go to bed.

Our house is usually around 68-70 degrees.
