Day 2 of home ownership

Home Depot (again, why do I feel like this is going to be a daily occurance :) )
Walls in Hall, Master Bedroom, hopefully future scraproom and bathroom too (only got the Living Room wiped down yesterday, shopping took longer than anticipated)
DH to make loads to the house
Find time to go to grocery store to have food at the apartment
Eat sometime

Day 1- was lots of shopping, got paint supplies and testers, but now we need the actual paint, so that's why we have to go back today. We did get the mattresses bought, delivery on Monday. The garage sale that mentioned "Disney Village," turned out to be the Dept 56 set from the 90's. They were selling the accessories for $10, buildings for $15, and the Mickey's Christmas Carol 2-piece building for $30. They didn't have all the pieces from the set, I am now missing 2 buildings and an accessory. You can see links to pictures on this website http://www.dept56retirees.com/disney.htm .

Hope I feel like we lived at home depot when we bought our house. It's such an exciting time.
Please pm me your address. I want to mail something off to you!

Holly will bring it upstairs with me after I make them to post it's VERY easy.
Okay time to get my behind off the computer and accomplish something.

Oooo, your house chronicles are exciting! I can't wait to move into my own house.... :rolleyes1

But until that sad, sad day (cough cough), I will live vicariously through you.

Since Lou's dad didn't want to go to the game since it's raining really badly, I'm going scrapbook shopping today.
And then home and homework... I actually don't really have any, but I figured I'll get a jump on the one thing that's due later this week that I have.

1 box cake mix normally yellow/vanilla
1/2 cup melted butter/margerine
2 eggs
1 cup choc chips
1/3 of a cup choc frosting

oven heated to 350 for glass (325 for dark or nonstick pan) grease bottom only of 13x9
mix cake mix, butter, and eggs add in chips Mix will be VERY stiff and hard to spread. Spread evenly in pan

Bake for 18-22 mins until edges are golden brown. Cool completely abt 1 hour (I never do)

In a small microwave bowl mic frosting for 20-25 seconds until melted. Drizzle over bars. I"ve found that putting them in the fridge helps the frosting set.

*** I've tried chocolate with butterstoch and chocolate with peanut butter chips too. I often leave the frosting off just cause kiddos don't need the extra chocolate.***

thank you!

this seems very easy. i think i have everything. i'll give it try next week for the cub scout campout.

We still got to Home Depot or Lowe's on a regular basis and we've been in our house for 19 years.

Great deal you got on the Disney Village. I love that Christmas Carol 2 piece set. You got a deal! :thumbsup2

I am so glad you didn't go. On tv they show the field and it was covered in sn^%. All afternoon I was thinking, poor ZtH must be freezing, I hope she dressed warmly and has her snuggly.

We had a relatively quiet Sunday. Grocery shopping in the morning, then take DD to swim. What a miserable wet, raw day, throw in a wintery mix. :scared1: My new heated car seats are getting good use. :thumbsup2:love:

I need to make Blondies!

I have those Department 56 houses and accessories! I got them in the 90s on sale :)

Hope, enjoy the new house! It's only a couple weeks before Halloween, hope you're in on schedule!

Did you win, Holly? I'll be your fourth and be the babysitter!

i so love blondies!!

and sadly i did not win......
and i really wanted to!

i keep telling dh maybe they will call today...:rolleyes1

i dont know why i torment myself?:confused3
