My brother told me about this game and now I'm really excited about it :thumbsup2

It also sounds like you can play with Mickey as the villain and Oswald as the hero (though you still play as Mickey).

Epic Mickey Confirmed as Wii Exclusive

By Scott Barkman / Monday, 05 October 2009
Rumors started surfacing a while ago about an upcoming Disney project titled "Epic Mickey." Not only are the rumors true, but the game is a Wii exclusive.

Not much is known about the upcoming title. We do know that it will feature a paint brush-esque control mechanic, and a rather fitting "epic" graphical style. We've scoured the web for more information about the title, and dug up a few rumored concept art pieces that shows off the direction they want to go with their art department.

Disney recently acquired Wideload Games along with Bungie co-founder, Alex Seropian, who also sports the title of co-creator of Halo. With Epic Mickey coming, and the soon to be released Split Second for Xbox 360 and PS3, it appears as though Disney is quite serious about shaking up their development image.

The Wiire Again - The Future of Epic Mickey
By Andrew Clark / Sunday, 01 November 2009
It is never too early to discuss the future of a franchise for Warren Spector. Epic Mickey was just recently announced, releasing late next year, but already Warren is thinking of possibilities for a second and third title of the franchise, as well as some mysterious peripheral support.

When you think of a game like Epic Mickey, from the little we know about it, of the choices between the Balance Board, Wii MotionPlus, and the Vitality Sensor, which Nintendo peripheral do you think Epic Mickey would most likely use? Well, it isn't Wii MotionPlus (in the first game anyway), which would make sense, considering the paint-styled gameplay.

Instead it was the Vitality Sensor of all things, that Spector mysteriously alluded to. When 1UP directly addressed the idea of the Vitalty Sensor being used in game, Spector responded by saying, "Well, you know, now that you mention it. [Distinct pause combined with wistful look] You never know. We have some time." He said nothing other than that, so to even find out if there is any truth behind Vitality Sensor inclusion, we'll have to keep an eye out.

When asked directly about the future of the franchise, Spector said "In my head, I've got two more planned." He continues to keep things grounded and realistic, saying that there still is no guarantee that Epic Mickey will be a franchise, but if the first game is a success, I'm sure you can plan on seeing sequels.

Any early predictions? Will Epic Mickey be a success? From the looks of the concept art it has my early vote.

How about the Vitality Sensor? Could you see such a game actually using it?

This game looks amazing. Definitely a show of quality Disney gaming. Could easily be good as Kingdom Hearts IMO.
