Do you think Tesco.com are being sneaky?

Just doing my online food shop. It says 2 for £5 on multipacks of mullerlights, but its only £2.00 for one so that means they are overcharging you by a £1 if you buy two! Also 2 for £2 on melons but they have put the prices up anyway for one compared to last month!

I think that is absolutely unforgivable. I would be right to customer service demanding a refund and an appology. If they don't want my business they can shove their 2 for £5. Ridiculous!!

I've just been to my local Tesco and they have the same offer there. As there was a manager about I asked him why it was advertised and he told me that one of the special flavours did indeed cost more than £2.50. He also assured me that if 2x the individual price was lower than the offer price then I would be charged the lower price at the till.

I didn't check it out (no pun intended) for myself though, so I've only got his word for it.

Ah right, thanks Libby, I wonder what the special flavour is?

My mum is insisting I check my receipts when I go instore as they have been overcharging her - i.e for 2 bags of apples instead of one and sometimes it can add up to a fiver, can you imagine how much that adds up to with millions of shoppers each week?

My local Tesco had white chocolate yogurt with a raspberry corner but they were the normal Muller. Seemed rude not to try one so it's now sitting in my fridge.

Individual ones were 8 for £2.

I went to TESCO today and the same 6 packs of yogurt are now labelled £2.90 or 2 for £5. I didn't check my receipt on Tuesday to see how much I was really charged for 1 pack!!!

I always check my receipts. I would say that I find a mistake on one receipt per month. A couple of weeks ago I handed over a £4 off voucher and the girl forgot to scan it. A few months ago, I was charged for two bottles of brandy, rather than the one that I had bought. I have also bought things on 'offer' to find that the offer (like BOGOF) has not been applied.

I am obsessive about checking my receipts!
