Ladies, are you EVER going to leave?? 10 days of Food & Wine fun! *NEW 1/29 PG 34*

Hi there! And welcome to a tale of 10 days of food and wine and food and champagne and food and grey goose slushies…. Anyone sensing a theme here?

In addition to all the deliciousness I was able to consume (according to the scale I gained 7 lbs, thank you very much), I also had the most fantastic opportunity to meet many DIS’ers that I chat with regularly here on the boards. And without spoiling any of the tales of the meets, I can tell you that without exception they are all just as nice as they seem here on the boards! The meets were truly a highlight of the trip and further cemented the friendships that we’d already formed here on the boards.

The title of this TR is inspired by an evening early on in the trip so you won’t have to wait too long for the story. It involves an ADR shortly before park closing, a DIS meet, a very leisurely, very delicious, dinner and being the last people in all of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Complete with some pretty cool empty park pics.

To what else can you look forward as I spin this TR tale and try to ease my Disney depression? Let’s see… 100 degree temperatures, two Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween parties, 4 Illuminations viewings, one minor meltdown, a quest for the best cheeseburger in the World, plenty of quality time in World Showcase at Food & Wine, a serious crush on Jamie Deen (thankfully I stopped just this side of stalking ) , a dinner at the Adventurer’s Club, at least 10 different DIS meets, some odd behavior – including a guy with an invention involving feminine products -, hundreds of pictures (including food porn), lots of laughs, a tequila tasting and much more!!

If you’re interested in more gory detail on the planning phase, I’ll direct you to my PTR here. But for the “readers digest” version I’ll tell you that I’m a gal who never in a million years imagined myself one of those “crazy internet people” who has rediscovered a love of Disney and found so many terrific friends here on the DIS. I’m looking forward to sharing the adventure with you.

Trying desperately to distract. Unfortunately am distracting myself with considering whether I can find cheap enough airfare to get back down before F&W ends and before my AP expires.
