Soulmates plan our committment ceremony!

Well, I've been told THIS is where we go to tell of all our exciting plans! I have much to plan. We got engaged in DW this past August, very romantic trip. Now, we've set the date, and put down a deposit on a local historical home. Oct, 10, 2010...love it, 10/10/10!!

Here we are 2 years ago, I'll post more as I go.

Here are some things we've chosen for our fall ceremony.

This is our logo that we'll use for cocktail napkins, thank you's and on the stickers' we'll put on our candy bags!

Here is the coasters we'll order. Obviously the info will be ours!

This was an AMAZING find for us!! We really wanted something fall looking, but also elegant...here it is!

The historical home we've rented for the day. The big room with all the windows, is where the reception part will be. Very colonial looking on the inside!

Love the porch, goes around the whole house. HUGE grounds for everyone to mill around. Beautiful back yard, with an old red shed, great photo op!

I'm so excited for your PJ! 10-10 is my younger sister's birthday, she begged me not to pick that day for my wedding (maybe I could have an 11-11-11 day)! I loved reading about the engagment story!

Workin it girl!! I'll post some inside pics we took the day we toured the home.

Half of the room where we will have our reception..we LOVE the open space, hardwood flooring and ALL the windows!

The other half of the room, where the cake, dinner buffet & gift tables will be set up

Where we will have Cocktail Hour, very colonial looking, love it. It also has a door that goes out onto the wrap around porch. Guests can mill around the grounds..there are over 10 rocking chairs on the porch with small tables as well. Very nice

The rest of the room, the table will be gone, as the caterer will bring their own. We're using the big table in this room, for the gift table in the reception room!

SO, you want a real SHOCKER?? The ENTIRE house, for the day, was just $1200.00!! Needless to say, we put down a deposit THE day we took the tour!! To us, it was a steal! This is their FIRST year opening it up for public rental. I have a feeling, once they get going, they'll raise the price, ALOT! We are just the 2nd couple to rent for next year. SO glad we have it in writing.

WOW .... its so nice! It soooo huge too - AND it looks like you wont have to do hardly any decorations - its so nice as it is!! And the priceee i dont blame you for booking there and then!

Those stairs are so nice too- i can just imagine everyone standing on them having photos!

Those were EXACTLY our thoughts..less decorating to do. Really, just going to have some floral centerpieces on each table and a few hurrican glasses filled with fruit and some garland over the fireplace. Anything more and it will take away from the house.

The stairs are very nice, can't go upstairs, but the owners said we can go on the stairs for pics!

Feel free to steal the cake, I did!! I've planned alot, but in all honesty, it's to keep my mind off my son in Afghanastan. He left shortly after his wedding in June. Planning has been a wonderful distraction! We LOVE the date, true, you can't forget it!!
