(More than)A FIVE years of Trips! -- TR Started! Day One - updated 6/10

Ahhh! We made it here! We're on Day 3, and things are going well.

We had a rough start Saturday, but I'll get to that later. Because of Saturday, we spent Sunday at Huntington Beach, and then headed to the parks around 5 for dinner, rides, and then F!. Today we did Carnation Cafe, so yummy, followed by me not feeling well for the next 3 or so hours :headache:, and also checking into PP to lay down and rest. And then stopping over at Riverbelle Terrace for lunch, trying to ride Indy (which was closed), and getting frustrated since we had already tried to ride Space Mtn earlier that day (or at least get FPs) and it was closed down. We were also waiting on the monorail (Red) for an extra 10 minutes because orange was having issues. Also, BTTMR was closed down too. Bad day to be in the parks if you only had one day!

Between trying to relax and me not feeling well, we've only rode a handful of rides (like maybe 5?) in 3 days :rotfl:. That has to be a record! And tonight its the Angel's game! DH is really stoked to see baseball (not that we already haven't been to a good 12 games this year...), and I could really care less about it, except that its something he really enjoys, so its fun to see him in his element (anything sports, that is). Plus I've never been to Angel Stadium, so I like new sights and sounds and all that good atmosphere to absorb.

Hopefully tomorrow will mean lots of fun rides and FP collecting and also the GCH and Halloween Screams fireworks. On-site is the way to go, so glad we're not dealing with parking anymore this week! :cool1::cool1::cool1: Yes, I'm really that excited to not ride the tram for the rest of the week!

You better be taking lots of pictures because they were really great last time! :thumbsup2

Normally do not read TR's but have been traveling alot, have been in the M.E. now for a couple of weeks, I have a bunch of time moving about. Hope things go better for you. You seem to plan like I do.

Jack

Thanks for the report. We'll be there soon so I'm happy to read about your experiences.

You're welcome! I bet you're getting excited!

Yes, I am quite the planner when it comes to trips and any event for that matter! Thanks for reading - pictures coming soon which should make it a little more fun to read, I hope!

Oh of course there will be pictures. I have about 400 right now!

WARNING - whining filled rant ahead...I'm sick :headache:

Well the crowds were much better Monday night/Tuesday all day. But unfortunately, a sudden stomach thing, which I thought was just a small thing on Monday morning that went away, has returned everyday since and I am to the point this morning where I won't leave the room.

A little TMI, I apologize...don't read if you don't want to know
I'm not even sure what is wrong - I just have the most severe back pain (hurts to stand and walk, horrid problem at disney!), random throbbing headaches, and pretty much miserable stomach cramping

Poor DH went to ride toy story this morning at park opening, since this was the only day we had planned to do so. I had to pretty much ask him and force him to go, since he wanted to stay and help me. But there isn't much anyone can do. Just wish I felt this way last week, or next week. But here, the only full day I have staying at the GCH, is the day I feel the worst. :sad1: I even started crying a little bit I was so upset...I really hope I feel better. DH is going to try and get FPs as we are trying to be positive that I feel better. Well I'm off to get more rest. Send some prayers and pixie dust my way please!

I am so sorry. I will be sending positive vibes your way. I really hope you feel better so you can enjoy the rest of your stay. I know what it is like to be absolutely miserable in the happiest place on earth. It sucks. I have broken down and cried, so please do not feel bad about doing that. Just keep thinking positive.

Hopefully you are feeling better. You are young so may be you have others things brewing?

The best,

Jack

I know, right? As DH always kids around when I have a little cold, "Oh no, you must be dying" and yes, I admit I can be dramatic. But its days when I refuse to get up to ride toy story at 10, yes, 10 was too early for me this morning, that I know something is wrong. Lots of advil has helped the back. Still feeling like an old woman to have to sit down so much. But definitely feeling better. Should be able to ride things tonight without too much upset. Got a bunch of FPs, so we hope all will remain well. No more !!!

Oh wow! What awful timing! I hope you were able to get out and have fun on the rides tonight...

Well I managed to get up and get going around 11:30! :lmao: And got some lunch in me (Hungry Bear for a relaxing atmosphere) and collected FPs for Splash and Space and saw some characters. We then headed back to the room to get our swimsuits and lay out by the pool. I felt good enough by this point, and realized it would be our first and only opportunity to go get soaked on GRR - so we went and did that. One woman around my age got completely soaked on the ride, and it was her first time. She handled it very well, but I don't think she expected to get that wet. Her DH was just sprinkled, so that made it funny. Also, the geyser, right before the ride ends, was in full force and soaked everyone who was still dry.

Laying out by the pool really helped. I was still a little uneasy - but after resting for a good 2 hours, I was good. We took our time when we got back to the room and then headed back out around 5. I had my ibeprophen and was determined to get some rides in. We ended up doing Toy Story (30 min wait), tried to do Screamin (probably good I didnt, but didn't do cuz no single rider), Splash (FPs, had 20 min wait), and Space(FPs). We also saw the fireworks at 8 and ate at RdZ - very good. Park closed at 9 (extended an hour), we left around 8:45, after riding space after the fireworks (Space was a 75 minute wait right after the fireworks!). Got a couple more photopass pics and finally got a churro.

Headed through DTD and checked out the WoD store before heading to WWS to get a quick snack for hungry DH. Pretty much our new favorite place as we got to get giant cups of water and DH got a freshly made mickey pretzel (instead of the hard ones in the case). I only had a bite, but he really liked it.

Went back to the room and watched a movie we brought (yay for DVD player!) and fell asleep around 11. Now we're up, getting all packed up and ready to go for the day. We'll head down to store our luggage at 9 and head to DL around 9:30 for magic mornings, to beat the 10 AM general public. We just plan on HM and Splash and eating breakfast. Then we'll head over and get our free 5x7 disney visa pic, do toy story, and probably head out of here. Depending on how I feel - I'm doing Screamin and ToT (both DH won't ride, so we'll see...haven't done ToT in the last 4 trips, so not since 2007)

Going to San Diego around 2 or 3 today, don't know if I'll have internet there, but if I do, I'll start with the actual TR and PICTURES (Ps...I have lots of food porn...just ask DH :rolleyes1)

Glad to hear you are feeling better! I hope you enjoy the rest of your trip. Can't wait for more trip report and pictures!
How was PPH? We check in there on Monday, I'm excited for our first DLR on site stay.

Hopefully the rest of your trip went smoothly, and you are back to feeling normal. I really dont like being sick anytime but being sick at Disney is never good. But sounds like you tried to make the best of it.

I can't wait for pictures.

I'm so sorry to hear you are sick!! I hope you are feeling better and were able to enjoy the rest of your trip. I'm looking forward to reading you TR when you get back - I hope you have lots of great pics! :)

I apologize, I once again didn't finish this report. Seven days is way to much to write a report about!!! :lmao: And 2 months later, I have a million pictures to post still. I have a ton of food porn, so let me just get that out of the way:
