Where to Eat Epcot & Studios

Help!

Can't decide where to eat the night we do the Candlelight Processional but am thinking Coral Reef what does everyone think?

Also can't decide where to eat at Hollywood Studios but was thinking Hollywood and Vine, is this any good?

Too many food options

not eaten at either sorry but we loved chefs de france at epcot, we got it as a walk up the other week and so glad we tried the food was fab

Only eaten at 2 places in Epcot, Le Cellier and Tutto Italia, Le Cellier was probably our favourite place all 16 nights and Tutto will also be on our list if we do DDP again.
There are so many great places to eat in Epcot.

Didn't have a meal in MGM(only CS), considered both Hollywood & Vine and Mama Melrose but they came bottom of list and got knocked off.

we really like Coral Reef, we have eaten there twice and it is on our to-do list again next year. The kids really like the Chocolate wave and the frozen drinks.

We didn't rate Hollywood & Vine at all - the food and service was below average. We went there to get the FDP, and then F! got cancelled due to the rain, so we were not happy!

You will find though whatever restaurants you choose you will find a multitude of opinions, so just go with what looks good to you..

We really enjoyed eating at Coral Reef last trip, would definitely go again Never tried H&V but I wouldn't recommend Hollywood Brown Derby or Sci-Fi unless you stick with basic food (burgers and fries type) We're trying 50's Prime Time this year so hopefully we'll like this one

Hollywood and Vine gets mixed reviews. We ate dinner (although I'd have considered it a late lunch!) there in August and it was superb. Lots of fairly plain, but still interesting and really fresh buffet dishes. Reasonable choice of desserts and couldn't fault the service.

My only complaint (apart from the whole Fantasmic queue issue) was that the toilets were shared with the restaurant next door and the queues were fairly long.

Only for breakfast and lunch. After about 3:30 there are no characters.

Right Coral Reef is a yes. Think I might do 50's Prime Time instead at HS as I know I liked that.

We recently came and were on the DDP, here is my tuppence worth;

EPCOT; Pleasantly surprised by Coral Reef - really like the food and the atmosphere, LeCellier was great as always, Teppen Edo was great fun and good food, Tutto Italia was very disappointing.

MGM; 50 Prime Time was a huge disappointment, the themeing and service were great but the food was unnecessarily poor, even the dessets, our s'more was cremated, it was like eating charcoal. Sci-fi is still a fun place to eat but the food is not great, mama Melrose was ok-ish. H+V is ok if you like buffets but don't expect too much rfom the food. By far the best restaurant is Hollywood Brown Derby. We have eaten there twice and it is great but it is a two credit "signature restaurant" we "paid" for it by eating counter service another night and it was worth it. Hope that helps.

On our trip a few weeks we visited Teppan Edo (Japan) and Le Cellier (Canada). Both were fantastic and will be top of our list for our next trip.

We have dined at Le Chefs (France) on a previous trip but found this to be over rated with bad service.

You will not be disappointed if you go to Japan or Canada

As for DHS we have only eaten in Hollywood and Vine and found the food to be ok. First time we ate there due to Fantasmic Package and second as it was the only place we could get into. I would not rush to book this.

Thanks for the further comments. Not going for Teppan Edo (Japan) and Le Cellier (Canada) as my Dad is a picky eater and not sure what he'd think of Japanese food and given its Christmas think we'd struggle to get Le Cellier but hope to try both after the parents have left and its less busy at Disney.

at epcot we like the Coral Reef, Le Cellier, and Tokyo Dining (sushi/tempura/etc).

At MGM, I highly recommend the Brown Derby. It's our second favorite restaurant in all of WDW. (number 1 for us is Citricos at the grand floridian)
If you're not on the dining plan, then for sure eat at the Brown Derby (it's two table service credits on the dining plan).

I actually thought Hollywood and Vine was quite reasonable. It gets busy and although we had reservations for meal and Fantasmic priority seating, we definitely didnt sit down to eat on time....so I wouldnt bother booking!
We have reservations for the Play and Dine there this time as our 3-year-old loves the Playhouse characters.

We ate at both Coral Reef & Brown Derby - both are excellent.

My husband is a Chef at an exclusive restaurant so often finds it hard to really praise a dish when in Disney - but he loved these two.

We paid OOP, but if you are on DDP then Coral Reef represents the best value for credits, however, the service at Brown Derby is fantastic - we will definately be eating at both next trip.

We've just got back (sniff). We ate at a few places in Epcot: Le Cellier, Tangierine Café and Electric Umbrella. All were very good, in particular Tangierine Café stands out as fantastic value for a CS credit. Le Cellier lived up to our expectations and we will definitely try for an ADR on our next visit. Electric Umbrella is a superior CS in my opinion- much better than Cosmic Ray's in MK.

In Hollywood Studios, we ate at Hollywood & Vine and Sci-Fi. Both were pretty good: H&V is your usual Disney buffet food and it was all very fresh and nice. I don't understand why it gets so many bad reviews. Sci-Fi is a really fun restaurant and the food was above average.
