Divas, Zebra Domes, and Pixie Dust! A Week in an African Paradise! New TR Link Pg.145

Hi Jackie!!! Sorry I have been MIA - I've not forgotten about your TR, I promise - please forgive me! :goodvibes

Your Food and Wine trip is coming up, right? I can't wait to hear all about it!

Oh, thank you so much for the Kim Possible info. I think it's something will definitely try! :goodvibes

You should -- I think DS would like it (and you and DH definitely would enjoy it).

I have to agree with you - the UK mission (especially the tea shop portion) was awesome! It felt very covert... :)

Love the hat pictures - fun idea!!

Watching Connor at that moment during the UK mission made all the standing around in the heat so worth it. ;)

I love all the hat photos! Sooo cute! You guys are having the best time in WS!

Thank you! We do usually have a good time in World Showcase -- we always seem to get some of our best pictures there.

I have many Virgos' in my life. My DH, my oldest DS, my mother, my grandmother and one of best friends. September is pretty busy for me. Which is why I missed that last update and wishing Connor Happy birthday. It was Dh's b-day over the weekend too. I know my DS11 said to me last week on his 11th birthday "Now that I've moved into double digits it's all down hill from here". I had to remind him that he was 11 and not 111.

:lmao: I love that your DS said that! Connor is always cracking me up with his witticisms.

Great update! Sounds like a fun day!

Happy belated Birthday Conner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you! Connor had a great birthday weekend. :goodvibes

Great update and pictures! I love the hats, so much fun! And the one of Connor with the gargoyle is a great one!

Happy Belated Birthday to your boy as well!

Glad he got to get his KP groove on! Maybe Bashful and I will give it another try when she has her trip and we'll have better luck with it!

Allyson

Thank you! I love Connor and the gargoyle! Thanks for the birthday wishes -- Connor was in heaven because he received many Star Wars Legos sets -- his favorite was the Battle of Endor -- he started building that one right away!

Connor did get his KP groove on and then some!

Great update!

Hope ya'll are keeping safe with all the flooding.

Thank you! It's been nerve-wracking with the flooding to say the least. We just got word that the DOT has closed all roads that cross the Chattahoochee. All the pictures and video of the flooding is just mind-boggling.

2 missions down, how many to go?

Well, he did that Norway one before, so I think there were four more at that point. Maybe...

I love the 2 pensive fellows.

Me too! :goodvibes

Ah, Morocco + Shwarma= yumm-o!! I especially liked the lamb.:thumbsup2

It was soooo good!!!

Great updates! I am all caught up!

I love the idea of wearing hats around the world and taking pics. SO adorable for scrapbooking. Your kids are adorable. Love watching them ham it up at WDW!!

Thank you! I always enjoy scrapbooking the World Showcase photos!

I wanted to ask you, do you know of anywhere else besides AKL we can get Zebra Domes. I am dying to try them, but we are not stoping there on our next trip. Thanks!! Looking forward to more of your trip!

Sadly, I think AKL is the only place that has zebra domes. :(

Don't mean to rush you or anything Jackie, but we only have 10 days time to get choppin':rotfl2:

 I know! I may not meet my goal of finishing this one beforehand -- I would hate to rush it.

We tried to do the hats too but it started pouring and so we were stuck in China. (We saw Mulan like 10 times):rotfl:
Do you have plans for your trip yet or are you just going to wham it?

Kinda sorta winging it with very loose plans.

Don't feel bad going on a trip with out the kids. They'll have fun with who ever you leave them with because they can get away with more, and they'll behave better once you come back because they missed you. Just don't go to Disney world or they'll never forgive you. I brought it up to DH going a weekend a month before our trip and the kids started freaking out! Emily said "If you go I'll never forgive you.":scared1: We had blackout dates anyway.
Anyways have a good night :surfweb:

Connor did not take the news as well as I had hoped he would. :rolleyes1

Hey Jackie- as always, I love your PTR's and TR's!!! We just got back and I thought of you all in AK! Just catching up.

Hope you have a wonderful school year!

Lori

Hi, Lori!!! Thank you for the sweet compliments!

How was your trip???

I have no idea what a Fandex is, but I just have to say, you gotta love Flat Han! You should take him to DHS for SWW next time for sure!:thumbsup2

:rotfl2: He would be fun to pose around the World!

Something about this picture is magical. Can't pinpoint it...has a very romantic feel to it...or something.

Thank you! I always love that view of France.

It must be the peaceful look of the bacteria ridden water, or the Eiffel Tower in the back ground...heeheee

No, I agree, Jordan, it is a pretty picture and may look peaceful for lack of crowds in it!

Bacteria-ridden water  -- shudder, shudder!

:lmao::lmao::lmao: What does Pete from the Podcast say every show? (if you are a listener...;)) :rotfl2:

Ummm, "STAY OUT OF THE WATER!!!"

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2: You three are too funny!

Hi Jackie!!! Sorry I have been MIA - I've not forgotten about your TR, I promise - please forgive me! :goodvibes

Your Food and Wine trip is coming up, right? I can't wait to hear all about it!

Hi, Katie! Of course I forgive you! :flower3:

Nine days! :scared1:

Ah, Morocco -- my favorite World Showcase pavilion beckoned us into its tiled beauty with promises of cool breezes and baklava.

I steered us towards the Tangierine Café where I had wanted to eat since our last trip when I spied all the scrumptious looking food.

I ordered the lamb Mediterranean wrap, Chelsea got the chicken pita plain, and poor Connor had chicken nuggets…again. We all had the baklava for dessert. All of our food was excellent although Chelsea did flip out a little when she found out I was eating lamb. It was oh so good though. Yum, yum, yum.

The seating at the Tangierine Café is all open air, and it was hot, but at least it was shady, and there was a bit of a breeze.

After lunch we wandered through the shops, where I discovered Connor is quite the sitar player, and Chelsea is quite the dancer. (For the record, Connor was the one who thought this whole scenario up.)

Next on our list were henna tattoos. Connor decided he wanted one, and he chose a lizard. Chelsea and I opted for ones on our upper arms hoping they would last longer.

Our brief respite from our KP missions was over, and we headed to Japan and our next covert operation to save the world from evil.

305.jpg

Mercifully it was the last one, and our phone directed us to a special drop-off point. Thank heavens! Connor was happy he had been able to do three missions and understood that there would be a next trip.

While in Japan Chelsea had her pearl set in a very cute dolphin setting, and we did a little shopping. Connor was beside himself to find a Naruto iron-on patch and a bowl of ramen (yes, my son bought a bowl of ramen in Epcot, and yes, I have a picture for the souvenir post ;)), Chelsea bought a lucky cat and Chelsea candy, and I found a couple of things for my mom.

The kids couldn’t find any hats in Japan, so they improvised.

306.jpg

Then it was onward to Italy!

307.jpg

308.jpg

Wait, Mom! I am not wearing my sunglasses!

309.jpg

This was the picture as Chelsea intended. ;)

310.jpg

Italy is not known for hats, either.

UP NEXT: Enough is Enough!

I'm FINALLY caught up! Happy belated birthday to Connor. I think the photo with the gargoyle & Connor is my fave- so cute!! :goodvibes

what a lovely lovely trip around the world you are taking us on. I so hope to have/take the time to savor the WS like this.

I  Tangerine cafe. Although my kids were NOT impressed with the Bakalava. Go figure.

How long did your henna last? I did it once and it did not last long at all :(

The Morocco Pavilion is just so beautiful. :cloud9:

Chelsea's picture poses are cracking me up. She is a little diva! I love her sunglasses by the way. Very cute.

I think Connor with the sitar and Chelsea dancing is one of the best pictures from this trip!

Lovely pictures...

Morocco is my favorite too...:goodvibes...Tangerine Cafe = :cloud9:...yummy goodness...btw-I like the lamb too...poor Chelsea...-you didn't say you were eating baa baa black sheep or anything like that did you?;)

Bravo Connor for finding the sitar...you know George Harrison played the sitar (I know all about this because the Beatles are one of David's interests...;)...I won't go on ...but I could...:lmao:

Don't we get to see your henna????:confused3

I find the Japanese store extremely dangerous to my wallet...Emily, David and I always find stuff in there...

Hmm...I never thought about it but Italy and Japan really aren't known for their hats, are they???

Enough is Enough?...that sounds a little foreboding...:sad2:

Wonderful update!! I love the improvisations done instead of hats...great photos!! LOL Chelsea and her sunglass photos!!!!

Lunch sounds so yummy!!! I have never ventured over to Morocco to eat but I have heard amazing things about the Tangerine Cafe so I might have to do that sometime!!!

Can you believe we'll be there together next week Jackie...WOOT!!!

Glad the KP missions were a success...for the most part...the second time around and Connor was happy with his 3 missions!!

WOOT...Souvenir posts are the best YAY!! I can't wait!!!

Great update! I never knew you could get the Henna tattoos. I just love shopping in Japan...I think that is where we spend the bulk of our money every trip!

YUM! I love Tangierine Cafe!

I'm grateful that Connor saved the world THREE times and I'm happy for you that it ended at 3 missions!

All of the World Showcase pics are great...such fun ideas!

I love love LOVE Morrocco! I cannot wait to grab a bite there in November.

Tangierine Cafe....mmmmmmmmm. Baklava and hummus...nuff said.

What fantastic pictures!

You even made a visit to the Motherland;)

Hi Jackie !
Bet you got an unscheduled day off today. Don't know what county you're in but our schools are closed at least through tomorrow.

Loved this update WS is my favorite place in all the world, your pictures were beautiful and Connor and Chelsea look like they're having a blast. The sitar/dancing picture was darling. Are we going to get to see your henna tattoos? You can get those all over the place in Key West next year. Someone said theirs didn't last long, I think the key is to get the ones with heavy lines, those delicate lacy one's don't last.
Tangerine Cafe - yummy!- I have to get myself back there, DH and I tend to go during F&W and so end up skipping the CS places in EPCOT. Morocco's F&W food is never very good, odd I think since TC is so good.

I'm happy for Connor that he got to complete the KP missions, and Chelsea made me smile with the starlet pose, and needing her sunglasses, too too cute.

The next chapter sounds somewhat foreboding, I'm sure it'll be great.
