***2009*** Epcot Food & Wine Festival ENDED NOV. 8

OK ok I must've missed it! I thought putting a ";)" would relay that what I was saying was meant in a playful manner. Guess not.

Anywho I hope everyone has a great time!

Oh, I am not taking it personally that you didn't see my response to you! It's just that even with emotes, it was difficult to interpret your post as playful. We're a pretty decent bunch here who will try to answer questions if we see them. :flower3:

More news to follow, but I'm giving it its own post.

Someone on Facebook posted a link to an Examiner site that showed there will be a cast member preview day on September 24 from 1pm - 8pm.

You can find the link here.

Here's a recap from that site:

Epcot International Food & Wine Festival: How to get in a day early

The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival officially kicks off Friday, September 25. Those who cannot wait to get the party started are welcome to attend a special Walt Disney World cast member preview on Thursday, September 24.
The cast member preview starts the day before the Food & Wine Festival begins. The preview begins at 1:00 p.m. and ends at 8:00 p.m. Many of the food and wine festivities are up and running during the preview, which is intended for cast members but available to all Epcot guests that day.
Food and wine lovers should remember that there is a fee for this year's cooking demonstrations and wine and beer seminars. More information on fees and discounted rates for Disney World passholders, Disney Vacation Club members, and Tables in Wonderland members is available here.
The preview allows cast members to perfect operations and solve logistical problems before the festival's official opening. The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival runs through November 8.

So basically it's the "cast member preview" but open to all guests in Epcot that day.

So that wine with the flower is part of the Wine View Lounge upgrade, correct? It's making me very excited that I decided to upgrade. :goodvibes

Now I wish someone had pictures ofthe booths going up!:yay:

Did Somebody Say pictures? These were taken last weekend. Many of the booths still did not have the signs overhead. And the inside had not been constructed...(yes, we peeked.)

I am SOOOO excited. 11 days til F&W. I didn't even know about this festival when we booked our trip (I know, I must live under a rock!) BUT, now that I realize I can partake without actually having an extra ticket - I am so darn excited.

If you just want to walk into the Cava del Tequila and order a margarita and some appetizers, you do not need ADRs, nor can you make them.

If you want to attend the Festival-sponsored tequila tasting there on weekends (which costs $35) you do have to book that ahead of time. Call 407-WDW-DINE or 407-WDW-FEST.
