I read somewhere that you can buy refillable cups (not sure if get one on the ddp).

Does this mean for example, if i buy one for animal kingdom, I can only get free refills at AK or can I use it at any disney park?

Also would i be able to use it at saratoga??

Once again I assume I would need to buy one for say seaworld, could i then use it for aquatica, etc which are under the same "umbrella"
:goodvibes

The refillable cups only work in the hotels so if you are staying at SSR you cna buy one there and use it to get unlimited soft drinks, they don't have any of the dispensers in the parks. To save money on drinks in the parks you could take a water bottle in and refill it at the fountain or if you ask at any drink place they will give you iced water for free which us very refreshing in the heat :goodvibes

Sadely they are not as good as that!

You can buy resort refillable mugs - to use in your resort for the duration of your trip. As your in a villa and SSR is a large resort you may just want to buy a load of drinks to keep in your fridge.

We used them last year and they were great at Pop but we were only a couple of mins walk away from the food court and had to pass it once we got off the disney buses.

You can get refillable mugs for the water park, but we have never bothered as they didnt seem great value to us as we only go for half a day.

Not sure about Universal/Sea World hopefully someone will be along to help you out :goodvibes

I must admit at home both myself, mum and two sisters drink alot of water, if they allow you free iced water that is brilliant :goodvibes Do you have to bring your own dispenser or do they just put the water in a "pepsi" cup??

If you do a split stay do you have to buy a mug for each resort?

Not sure of the true answer but I know people have posted in the past and said if its the same vacation Disney have told them its OK. Others have posted and said you have to buy 2. In reality who would? they are the same mug in every resort.
Last month we were in Poly eating Dole Whips:cloud9: right next to the Soda machine, people were filling Mc D cups, water park mugs, old resort mugs you name it they were doing it, even a Cast Member.
I think its about time Disney clamped down and made the rules very clear, now they are not and a free for all.
We were there 16 nights and didn't find the mug for DS great value. It was OK for the novelty but the $13 buys 26 litres of Pepsi for the fridge (which is a lot nicer tasting, Disney fountain coke is not the best) I admit we did fill it up in other resorts rather than OKW where we bought it, if we had stuck the the rules and only OKW then it would have only been filled twice, it wasn't somewhere we wanted drink.

There is no difference at the moment on the refillable mugs they are all the same pattern, they do change from time to time the ones we bought this time are different to the ones we left at Christmas.

I does say on the side you can only use it at the resort you bought it at for your length of stay.

They cost about $12.50 each so very good value, if you are buying drinks on site, as Wayne says though you can buy a lot of cans of coke at Wall Mart for that

However...... when you fill it up they dont ask where did you buy this , can you prove it etc etc......so...... They dont even watch you filling up.

The mug is also good for Coffee and Tea which is also available at the drinks stations, so we used ours for coffee in the morning and soda the rest of the day, and each time you refill you can have a different flavour as there are water dispenses to wash your mugs out.

To me they are great value.

I used ours every morning for coffee, and the kids used them when they were by the pool. Last year at SS DS used it for hot chocolate, but this year we were at OKW and there wasn't that option.
SIL is off this week, staying at Kidani, and I have given her our mug to use there.

At AKL and Poly where we stayed this summer it clearly stated it was for the 'duration of your stay' which we took to mean the whole of the holiday, it did not mention 'duration of stay at the resort of purchase'.

I have also read that places that charge you for refillable drinks will fill any refillable mug from anywhere else. Never tried it as we always carried water around in a bottle, filled up from the water fountains as we found it a lot more acceptable this time around.

Went over to OKW today (with our mug :thumbsup2) and I saw a guy fill his mug up, and chat to the CM behind the counter as he did it ..... teh mug was at least 3 years old, so I guess they dont police it at all.

I am doing a split stay this time round and specifically asked this question. I was told that it was per stay so even though I am changing resort after 4 days, I could use the same mug until the end of that vacation. For me that makes the difference between getting the mug or not. I would not have got it if I had to buy a new mug when changing resort.
