DS is on a student exchange at a uni in Graz, Austria. DH and I are going over to see him for a few days next month.

We're got Ryanair flights from Stansted but need a hotel for the night before we fly and would ideally like somewhere we could leave our car while we're away (6 nights in total).

Anyone got a recommendation?

We flew to Italy, from Stansted, a couple of years ago :)

Booked it through 'Holiday Extras' or something similar and we stayed at the airport hotel which was great :thumbsup2

We flew fron Stansted last year and used the Holiday Inn Express with parking which worked our cheaper than paying for parking seperately. We had 14 nights so had to park in the airport car park (regular buses take you back to the hotel or to the car park at the end of the holiday), but I think they let you park in the hotel's car park if it's for a shorter duration.
Hotel is your standard Holiday Inn express room including breakfast (well it was for us) and the parking all went very smoothl.y Would ceratinly use them again :)

Thanks for the replies.

Suddenly had a idea yesterday that I might be able to use some airmiles to book a hotel. Have had a few airmiles for a while but never used them. Did bit of digging and found that I get a room at the Radisson SAS with up to eight days parking for less than the total number of airmiles that I have! :) Seems to be valet parking too!

Is that the hotel you stayed at, Alison? It seems to be (like the one in Manchester) right next to the airport terminal. Glowing reports on TripAdvisor too!

I think so :)
You walk through to the terminal - about 5 mins :thumbsup2

Lovely hotel but watch the food and bar prices........ :scared1:

There was a lady being hoisted up to the bar walls (if that makes sense ;)) fetching down bottles :)

Kept Eve entertained for a while (and her Dad I imagine :rotfl:)

Is that a regular event? Or just a one-off?

Will have to go and have a look!

Sounds bizarre!

Hilton Hotel is brill, and you leave your car in there car park, they do not move it to an "off site" area within 400 miles!!!!

At the time I got the impression she was a permanent fixture with scheduled times to be 'swung around' :rotfl:

Just googled it - "The wine tower is of course, a piece of theatre, in which there are nightly performances by the ‘Wine Angels’ who fly the wires to retrieve the wines from the tower to guest orders"

Thanks for the tip! It's on my list of 'must-sees'!
