Looking for advice on Park Tickets!

Back again, with ANOTHER question :flower3:

Have been scouring the net for ticket prices over the last few days, even though we don't go for 8 months, but I've found the following and am seriously considering buying. Just looking for some advice from the experts!

Basically, we're "coaster" junkies rather than Disney junkies and are considering doing a split 1 week Disney/1 Week Universal stay. Want to do all the Disney parks (not bothered with the water parks) and Universal/IOA/SeaWorld/Busch (again not bothered about water parks.

I've found the following....
  • 10 Day Magic Your Way Park Hopper Ticket
  • Orlando FlexTicket Plus
for around (give or take the exchange rate) £683 for 2 adults. This price is from Undercover Tourist who are an official Disney Selected Retailer and were recommended to me in another thread.

Should I jump on this price or am I getting this all wrong?

Your figures seem good to me.
I worked it out based on an exchange rate of 1.67 and got it to be £674, so in the same ball park so to speak.

There are other options you could consider - such as the 7 day Premium ticket if you were interested in checking out Disney Quest or any of the golf courses, but that is coming in at £724 when you add the Flex Plus on to it - so it looks to me like you have a good price for the tickets that would work best for you. :thumbsup2

Undercover Tourist is great for MYW tickets-99% always the cheapest price. But for the flex i went with attraction tickets direct only because they worked out the cheapest at the time-they are also real tickets+free delivery :thumbsup2.Have a nosey before you commit :thumbsup2.It does take time but i much prefer to shop around to get the best price instead of thinking 'heck i'll just get them from the same company-it's easier'.x.

ETA--have a nosey at Orlando Attractions for tickets as well.x.

Thanks guys, you've both been very helpful :thumbsup2

Still deliberating over it, BF has said he's leaving the decision up to me! The only input he has given me is "well why don't we decide the way we decided flights.....if the price goes down, it's not gonna go down by much, but if the exchange rate gets worse or prices go up the price is gonna go up alot more than it goes down". Although I will feel a bit stupid if I buy park tickets before we've even sorted accommodation!

I'm gonna go round and do "costings" AGAIN, lol. Thanks Michelle, I've checked Orlando Attractions as well! I've been doing the rounds of direct with Disney/Universal, Orlando Attractions, Undercover Tourist, Travel Republic and Attraction Tickets Direct!

My only query with UT is that it doesn't mention anything about the FlexTicket being for 2010 use, but it does say about MYW 2010.

It's just all going round in my head and not sure what to do for the best! Pegasus, I've had a look at the 7 Day Premium as well as I like the added benefits but I think I priced it at nearly £50 more than a 10 Day MYW so I don't know if it's worth it, although it would give us the freedom to visit the water parks if we wanted.

Sorry this post is really long!

If you are looking at Undercover Tourist for MYW tickets make sure you sign up to the Mousesavers newsletter and you can save another few dollars as they have an offer with them.

If you are quick the newsletter is sent on the 15th!

i always go for attraction tickets direct because they are actual tickets, free delivery and you can pay them up :rotfl2:

Yeah, Michelle mentioned this as well! Unfortunately UT have a sale ending Monday the 14th! I've signed up for the newsletter but obviously won't get it until the 15th! If anyone has a spare MouseSavers e-mail from last month they'd willing to forward to me then give me a PM! It'd be grately appreciated!

Not ruling ATD out, just UT offer the MYW (US) tickets that most places don't. They're one of the 1st places I looked, but even for the 7 Day Premium, Orlando Attractions is working out slightly cheaper.

Ahhh this is so confusing! If I hadn't found this forum I'd probably just have done the "British" thing and buy a 14 Day Ultimate and FlexTicket PLUS from the official websites!!! :rotfl2:

I got my park tickets in August 2007,and had no holiday booked until Dec 2007 ,and we never went until Apr 2009 :lmao:.It's never too early to start planning/buying anything to do with the holiday.I saved money by getting my tickets sorted early-therefore i missed 2 price increases :thumbsup2.

Flextickets are for 2009 or for 2010-make sure you let the retailer you decide to buy with, know what year you need them for.x.

Thanks again, Michelle! Finally found the bit on the UT website about them being valid for next year :thumbsup2

Think I might possibly purchase the MYW tickets this weekend and continue the FlexTicket (or not) search! As I've not really done as much research about tickets for Universal/SeaWorld/Busch yet!

Another question actually....has anyone any experience of buying tickets from Travel Republic?? Are the real tickets or vouchers?? I've seen a good price for the following:
- 14 Days unlimited entry to Universal/IOA = £72 (2010) price
They also have a Combo SeaWorld/Aquatica/Busch Gardens ticket, 2010 prices aren't up yet, but 2009 price is £62, it'll probably go up a little but this would mean for £134 I'd get the same amount of parks as a FlexTicket. So I think I'll hold off and see when their 2010 prices are released!

I have checked the prices for UT using the mousesavers link on the 10 day hopper will save $3 per ticket!

Yeah, thanks to Chilly who forwarded me the e-mail! But hey $6 is better than nothing!

I'm still scouring the net just now, have been for the best part of the day! It's one of those things about planning in advance as well, you're worried that you buy/do too early and either change your mind or the price plummets (highly unlikely, I know) :confused3

Back again.....:surfweb:

Think I'm now going to purchase the 10 Day MYW Hopper Tickets from Orlando Attractions! They're working out £10 cheaper than Undercover Tourist, even with the Mousesavers link!

I just have to build up the courage to ACTUALLY BOOK as I keep doubting that I'm doing the right thing!

It pays to shop around :thumbsup2.
I would get them, the way i see it is with the MYW tickets-say you could'nt go on your holiday for whatever reason-it does'nt matter with these tickets as they don't start to expire until 1st day of use,so you won't be losing any money.Just put them somewhere safe until you do go :thumbsup2.x.

Thanks for all the input, guys!

Thought I would let you guys know, have taken the plunge, and ordered 10 Day MYW Hopper Tickets from Orlando Attractions :thumbsup2 Price came to £349.54 for 2 adults! Have received my confirmation e-mail and should receive within 14 Business Days!

And Michelle, I already have a "Florida Folder" lol, it's a bit lonely at the moment with just our Flight Confirmation in but our tickets will soon keep it company :goodvibes

Will certainly report back with how it all goes! Until next time.....and by that I mean FlexTicket time  Thanks once again!
