ME with DVC reservations

we check in on the 12th, and have got ME booked.
i think i heard a while back that they'd stopped sending out ME tags to the UK.
what do i need to do when i arrive at MCO? (coming indirect via atlanta if that makes any difference?)

Done it on the 12th Aug - we carried our cases up the escalator and onto the monorail ourselves. Turned up at the ME desk and they were expecting so, didn't even show ME voucher.
I'm nervous about my luggage since losing a suitcase in 2006 and don't let it out of my sight unnessecarily! It also meant we could go straight for a swim when we arrived at OKW.

I think you only need the luggage tags if you want your cases to be collected automatically and sent to the resort.

From what I have read it is better to pick up your own cases from baggage reclaim and then take them to the ME bus yourselves - that way there is no deplay in getting your cases once at the resort

I have used dme and let them take my luggage 3 times, I get to the hotel go out for a meal and the luggage is there when I get back. I will do the same this time.

As far as I am aware they are no longer sending out the ME luggage tags to the UK. I have had all my vouchers arrive from Disney but there are no tags for the ME with them. It does say if you want Disney to collect your luggage you will need to give your airline baggage claim check numbers to the Disney representatives at the ME desk.

so if i'm coming indirect and want them to get the luggage do i just walk out past baggage claim and then go straight to the ME desk with the little sticky things (with the luggage numbers on) that gatwick give me?

you will still have to pick your bags up when you first land in the usa then you do the ME on the connection to MCO
