Hi,

Just looked on our booking and our seats are booked in for row 60. Its about 5 rows from the back on the plane in economy.

I just wondered, are these seats anygood???? Our flight number is VS015 outbound and VS016 inbound. I have a 2 year old so did want the exit seats but know this is not possible!

Thanks, xx

Personally I wouldn't choose the rear seats for a number of reasons ....

more turbulence at tail end of aircraft as theres a circular oscillation, incase you're airsick

close to toilets and galley and the noise that comes with those

last off the flight - especially with kids that gets frustrating

possibly last to get the food/drink service (cant remember if thats right though, they may start some at the back) so get the last choices.

If it were me and I were in economy, I would want the seats closest to the front as possible.

BTW - Toby's rule! I've got one too:thumbsup2

Just shows how people are different, both my nan and my mum always want seats as close to the back as possible.:goodvibes

There is no Galley right at the back - its a fair way forward. Yes there are toilets but ive never noticed any noise to be honest.

We were served food first on both outbound and return flights this year, not sure if thats just luck.

Yes it does take slightly longer to get off the plane - but we were only 10 minutes behind our friends who were near the front so that wouldnt change my mind.

We always sit right at the back and usually have a quiet and peaceful flight.:goodvibes

If you log onto your booking on Virgin website. You can sometimes change your seats.

Try it

We avoid seats at the back, DH gets bad migraines when we fly and the last thing he needs is to feel stuck at the back with poor air quality and a rough flight. I did hear VA were rearranging the seat configuration on some of their planes recently so check with seat guru to be sure. We chose seats in row 36 last time which didn't cause symptoms as bad as he has had in the past. That's why I try to choose something closer to the front and not too far from the toilets or the galley, the seats at the back seem darker to me I don't know if it's actually true or just my perception but the more daylight DH has on a flight the better he copes. He can also cope with the smell of the food heating up even if it's not something he would eat. This year we have row 31 outbound and row 30 for the return pre selected.

Plus it gives him easier access in and out if he needs it since at the moment he has a problem with his left leg which has been ongoing for the last 6 months we still don't know what it is it's under investigation and we've declared it on the travel insurance just in case.

We always choose to sit at the back....Close enough for the toilets for my toddler...a bit of space to stand up by the rear exit door behind the last row...meals served 1st...first on the plane. Not usually a problem for us exiting last as we are in relax holiday mode by then!
