We go to Walt Disney World every year but this year we will be going and celebrating for what will you celebrate the fact that I will be 16 weeks pregnant with our first child. :cloud9: DH and I have tickets to go to the Magic Kingdom and the two waterparks during our trip. Does anyone have any fun ideas of things we can do to celebrate during our trip? We will have 3 days that are open to resort hop or do anything else other then the parks. So any ideas inside and outside the parks would be great. :goodvibes

Congrats.
My wife went to Disney both times she was pregrant.
You still can have alot of fun but as i'm sure you know, watch out
for attractions with saftey warnings and avoid those.
(including slides at water parks?)

as for things to do....
I think GF Spa has a pregnacy massage.

or dinner show like Luau or Hoop de Doo.

i'd do a special romantic dinner since next time you come you'll have little one in tow and it's much harder to have a quiet meal. I'd recommend Jiko.
Great romantic dinner then walk around the resort and see animals.
(sorry you'd need to skip the wines though)

I would make your DH treat you like the queen you are for carrying his chlid and treat you to some time in the GF spa. ;)

Last trip DH and I did the tea at the GF and it was lovely! If I recall correctly, there were two tea options and we did the cheaper one. It was about $25 for the two of us and totally worth every penny!

There are carriage rides at POR and fort Wilderness (I think those are the two, and someone will correct me if I'm wrong, surely).

I'd also spend a day at DTD and catch the characters in flight balloon.

I also wanted to suggest a morning at AKL to see some of the animals, and maybe a lunch at Boma.

Does anyone have more babyish ideas. We tried to get an ADR at Crystal Palace with the Winnie the Pooh characters but they are booked.
We will keep trying for that one. (Winnie the Pooh is going to be our nursery theme.)
Any other ideas?

Congrats on the soon to be new addition to your disney crew! I never had kids so i really want comment on the fun things lol

If you find yourself having to skip some rides this time around, you could think about taking on some "photography projects"

Maybe plan ahead and think of some cool pictures or picture series that you'd like to collect during the trip.

Congrats!!

Keep trying for CP, I believe they serve all three meals.

I say do some fun resort hopping-

at AKL- maybe go listen to the african story teller in the back outside around the fire, enjoy a nice dinner at Boma or Jiko

GF- spa!!! they also have a great jazz band upstairs in the lounge- relax with a drink for DH and a shake or something for you and listen- they play some disney renditions too!

POR- stop by the food court for some beignets!

WL- go check out the geyser and explore the resort, dinner there is great too

Contemporary- maybe a nice dinenr at Cali Grill- time it for the fireworks. or chef mickey's is fun for dinner too. we usually start our trip with dinner there to see Mickey!

spend some time at the pool, relaxing!

DTD- shopping is a must- they have some baby items in World of Disney and tons of Pooh items too!!! maybe plan lunch there at Earle (my favorite!) or catch a movie there to kill some time.

go see Hoop Dee Doo revue at FTW- and go early and just explore some- their little outpost store is cute etc.

and check out the baby center at teh MK, so you know what to expect next time when you will need to use it! ;):)

We plan on taking advantage of all the photopass locations so we get as many character pictures as we can.

If you want a little romance/relax time, go to DTD after dark and ride the boat that takes you to the resorts POR & POFQ. It is a nice ride that takes a little while and lets you see a different side of DTD. It is a nice beautiful ride.

Cirque would be something fun to do.

CONGRATS!

When are you going. I have breakfast reservations at the CP for Breakfast for 2 on Oct.24th. You are welcome to them. How can anyone refuse a pregant woman.

Firstly, congratulations!!!!! I am going at the same time as you and I will be 17 wks PG!!! I am excited because T1 will be over and we'll have some of our energy back! I am also very excited to eat LOTS and LOTS of food! I already warned DH that he'll have to buy me extra snacks since I am hungry all the time!:rotfl:

Anyways, I checked the online system for a reservation at Crystal palace on Sept 10th and there are TONS of spots open! One for 8am which I think would get you into the park before opening (or close to it) and that is a great experience so try for that one!

I don't have any other ideas, since this is my first time going PG but the spa sounds divine!!!1:cloud9:

Have a great trip!!

Congrats!! I'll be 6 months pregnant during our upcoming trip, so I've been thinking about this too. I plan on buying infant Mickey ears, a baby Mickey and Minnie and any really cute clothes I can find! I'm also letting my son pick out a picture frame and having our picture taken outside the castle to put in the baby's room. We've decided on a Nemo themed nursery, so we'll be looking at lots of that too.

You can take lots of pictures and put together a photobook of all the fun kid rides. I'm doing that and letting it be a book of all the fun things the baby can do when we take him/her to Disney for the first time.

DH and I are doing a dinner to celebrate, just the two of us and sending our son with his grandparents. Consider doing a more special adult dinner for just the two of you.

Hope some of these are ideas you're looking for or will spark other ideas for you! Congrats again and have a happy and healthy nine months!
