Hi - heading to DLP 2nd week in Oct (midweek)..... I can't see park closing dates on the website but I think it closes at 6 or 7pm.

What do you do then? I presume the restaurants are open ....so go for a meal....is there any other evening entertainment after that? (kids are 5 and 8).

We will miss buffalo bills as its not on Wed and Thurs....

honestly... after getting to park for 8am for magic hours, walking running having fun all day.... when it got to 7 ish and we headed back... we got into pj's sat and talked about our day, then collapsed in an exhausted heap for the next busy day! :lmao::lmao::lmao: Kids were tired, we were.... even more tired. haha

We would do the same, have an early night to get up the next morning. But on some evenings we curled up beside the fire at Sequoia and talked about everything that had happened, and a couple of times had a swim. Also, one Tigger did Tigger aerobics one evening we were there at the kids corner :)

Mostly just head back to the room, wind down with a little TV and then off to sleep! A Disney vacation can be mentally and physically exhausting!!!

Hi Hellothere

what dates did you decide on in the end?

most people are zonked by night ,esp if you start your day with the emh

:cool1::cool1:

when we went the park closed at 7pm, we then got some tea from disney village and done some shopping going back to the hotel about 9pm and just relaxed. dd played in ball pit etc at dream castle but ive heard theres nothing 2 do in cheynne so bit concerned well get bored.

We usually eat, then have a wander round the shops, other hotels. Maybe have a drink in one of the bars before crashing in the room

There's a children's play area in the foyer with a video screen and little bits to muck around with, at least there was when we were there in 2007!

We always say "will have an early night" but by the time we head out the park have a bite to eat and look round the shops its not unusal for us to be getting back to our room around 10.30 -11pm and then flop on the bed dog tired.

What about 'Buffalo Bills wild West show' in disney village we went when DD was 5 and DS was 7, they both loved it (especially as DH got picked to participate!) - this was in 2000 so not sure what its like now but we thoroughly enjoyed it. :goodvibes:goodvibes

We went with Tues 13th Oct to the Friday ..... we are staying in the Sequoina Lodge so can avail of EMH so you are proabably right...we will be wrecked by 7!!

Loubylou - yes we wanted to do buffalo bills but the only night its one when we are there is the tuesday and as we don't arrive into the airport till 1pm we might be too busy at the park to make the 6.30 sitting and too tired for the 9.30 one.....however I have read that you can get up to 50% off if you check on the day so we might try that with the Tuesday night if we are not too tired...

Thanks for all your replies.....this board is great...really answers all the silly little quesitons you :)

Im the same as everyone else really, usually get something to eat in the village, then wonder back to our room for a good rest....and i night of hannah Montana:lmao:

usually when ive been, i have been with the family so we always went back to the room to get an early night. The past two times ive been with a friend so we had one evening in the sports bar was OK. a couple of nights we went to the bar at SL whichi much prefered much more a relaxing atmosphere. we talked our days out there.
My friend did want to go to 'Hurricanes' disco but i wasnt keen at all, it doesnt feel right to me going DLP anf going to a club, i dont do it at home anymore so i wasnt fussed at all. much prefer to be at SL and relax:)

every night in dlp i say is going to be an early night but by the time i leave the park, maybe grab something quick in mcdonalds ( i take every opportunity to try get my two year old to eat anything at all as she totally has no appetite in dlp and i spend the week worrying about her lol) and have a look around the shops, get the bus back to the hotel, look around the hotel shop or maybe have one drink at the bar i am ready to pass out and do it all again the next night lol.

Midweek we always stay in the parks until almost closing time (if not actually closing time) then we go for our main meal of the day. That can take a couple of hours (especially if we've booked somewhere like Cafe Mickey). Then we might do a bit of shopping in the huge store in the Village, and by that time its usually after 9.30pm when we're heading back to our hotel, then its time for a hot drink, then ready for bed, and set the alarm for eek o'clock early next morning :goodvibes.

After normally being there from first thing until they kick us out all we want is something to eat and then to get some sleep. Josh normally asleep first and then us shortly after him watching some lousy teen movie on the Disney channel.
