I have dinner reservations on a upcoming trip for dinner. Has anyone ate there recently? We ate there during th park fare remodeling and cannot remember if it is edible.

We just ate there last week and really enjoyed it. We ate there so we could check out the grand floridian and didn't want to do 1900 park faire this time around.

We both had the strip steak which comes w/ au gratin potatos and it was really good! For dessert I had the chocolate hazelnut and it was awesome! My girls enjoyed the chix noodle soup and grilled chicken off the kids menu as well. It was really very empty while we were there. We went there an hour before our reservation time because we were hungry and they seated us immediately! Service was great as well. Hope you enjoy it!

Yes, I agree. We have always enjoyed our lunches and dinners there- good food, good service, and nice atmosphere. It is usually not crowded as mentioned in previous post. :)

We've been there for dinner and two lunches and will definitely go back again. I prefer their Cobb Salad to the one at the Brown Derby.

We've eaten there every year for the past three visits and really enjoy it! The food is good, and the atmosphere is very relaxed. If you eat late, you can head out to the patio to watch wishes after dinner!

We ate there last Aug and it was incredible....DH had the NY Strip and I had the shrimp pasta, huge portions awesome flavor...for dessert we got the sampler with 4 mini desserts and it was perfect to share a get a taste of everything.

I agree with everyone else. The food was really good and the place was not busy at all. We too showed up about an hour before our ADR time just to see if they could seat us (we were planning on just checking out the hotel if they couldn't). We were grateful they were able to as we were all very hungry. The place was only about half full the entire time we were there. We plan on going back in Dec.

We were at The Magic Kingdom one night and had a Raglan Road ADR and didn't feel like going over to DTD so I called and all that was available for dinner in the MK area was the Grand Floridian Cafe. Well...we really enjoyed it! The room is beautiful and the food was great! It was a really nice break from the park.

Have ADRs there next week  Has anyone tried the fondue type of dessert there(can't remember the actual name)?

I've really enjoyed the lunches I've had there. Not gourmet, but really good food.

All of these positive reviews are very encouraging. I will be eating there for the first time during the 3rd week of September.

We had dinner there in October 2008 and lunch June 2009. Definitely my 2nd favorite location on site, with my first being oddly enough Liberty Tree Tavern. I like the relaxed feel there and in October, we were seated near the windows and got to see Wishes. This was in our last 15 minutes at Disney World, so you can imagine what a beautiful ending it was.

I did and it was very good. They served the chocolate fondue with bananas, strawberries, marshmallows, and something else (sorry, can't remember). I'll probable get this again in Dec.

Just what I was hoping to hear!! Thanks :goodvibes

I wonder why it is not a busy location.:confused3

The convenience to MK and being at GF I would think would make it more popular, especially if the other restaurants at GF are more expensive/high end/2 ts locations.
