Prices at Hess Station?

I was wondering if anyone has been to the Hess Station across from Downtown Disney recently. If so, I am looking for examples of prices. We would mainly be buying beverages to keep in our room. Any one know the price for a 6 pack of beer, 12 pack of bottled water or soda? If anyone could let me know what you bought and the price it would be very helpful. We don't need enough to do a grocery delivery and I would rather not pack that much liquid in my checked baggage. Our first trip in April we bought stuff like this at the hotel and was way too expensive. We are going in September again and looking for ways to save money. Thank you - Summer

They're the same price as you would find at any other hess station. While thier fountain drinks are about 10-20cents higher than normal, it's not disney prices. There's three hess stations on property, one at the TTC, one across from DTD and one across from the Hollywood Studio entrance/Boardwalk. All three have the same prices. The one at the TTC is now the largest with Blimpie subs as well as large pizzas and personal size portions of other things like chicken wings. On Tuesday and Friday you can get a large pizza for 6$ and it's pretty good.

However you will still only find Coke products sold here, no pepsi or mt dew.

Thank you for your reply. We have no Hess stores in our area and we have never been to one. At a convenience store here you would pay maybe $1 for one bottle of water. $6 for 12 pack of coke, and at a liquor store around here $4 for a 6 pack of cheap beer. That would be our normal prices, so is that normal prices for Hess? My husband really just wants to buy here and pack stuff, but I don't think it is such a good idea, taking up room in our luggage, chance of beer all over our clothes (and other passengers clothes) if there is a leak. I am trying to convince him to just wait till we get there and buy. Thank you for your help. These boards are the best, I am on here everyday planning our trip!

Another option is We Go Shop or Garden Grocer. They will deliver to your room. Paying the delivery fee may be cheaper than the bag fee (and liquids are VERY heavy). Also, you won't have to spend your vacation time shopping.

Two weeks ago, you could get a small pizza and a soda, with something else that I can't remember, for $4. I thought it was a great deal. We'd just come from cici's (now that was a deal) or we'd definitely have grabbed some pizzas for dinner.

If you have several things you'll want to pick up, why not rent a car for just one day? You can pick up and drop off at the swan/dolphin. When Race Rock was still open, we'd rent a car for a day or two just so we could go eat there if we'd flown in. It's usually a cost effective option and very convienent. There are grocery stores, fast food, pharmacies, walmart, an outlet mall, and pretty much anything else you'd want just beyond DTD.

OP
Dancemom has a great suggestion.
It is $27.00 incl all taxes and fees for a one day rental with alamo for a standard size car.
Pick up at MCO drop off at the Dolphin (leave the keys with valet).
If you go to the all ears site and search directions, there are exact directions from MCO to your resort including several options for grocery stops (super target, walmart, etc). Being FL, beer and wine will be available at the grocery store.
Quite frankly, it was the best $30 we spent last December

Is there a code to use for that rate? I looked and got $48 before taxes and fees. Thanks in advance for an answer!

I haven't bought any bottle sodas lately. I have a huge mug that I use for refills at gas stations, so I don't buy bottles very often. I'll be heading over to Disney property tomorrow, I'll stop by and see what they've got.

They also sell 2 liters and 12 packs of soda which is probably going to be cheaper than individual bottles. Get the 12 pack for the parks and the 2 liters for the room. They also have large bags of chips for 3.99 (sometimes they go on sale 2 for 5$), individual size for 99 cents. And an isle for some groceries, not much, but that's usually over priced like any gas station.

I tried, and it gave me a total of 61 dollars and change. Guess is just didn't like me - I even cleared my cookies and tried again. But thanks anyway for your help.

I just went to the gas station last night, across from DTD. Just remember to get off at the "PI west side" stops, just walk straight back and across the street. Probably take you about five minutes time.

Dasani 3 for 3$, 32oz bottles
Powerade 3 for 3$, 32oz bottles
A mix of soda/water/powerade 20oz bottles, 3 for 3.33$
TG Lee Milk 1/2 gal, 1.99$
Coke 12 pack, 2 for 5.50$
Bud Beer 12 pack, 10.99$
Corona Beer 12 pack, 12.99$
Mini pizza or 6" sub, 4$ with free 16oz drink

Those are some of the sales-posted prices for items. There's a few extra things other than snacks but not much. The Hess at the TTC is much larger with a few more things. But you should still be able to find what you need if all you need is snacky stuff.

Thank you so much SandrA9810. You went out of your way to help me with this info. Those prices are pretty normal and will save us so much money compared to buying at the resorts and parks. It will be good not to have to pack food and drinks in our luggage! I love disboards, so much good info!:goodvibes

We now stop at Hess to buy a cases of bottled water and pop. It was $2 less for a 12 pack of Coke than at Wal-Mart! We also get chips there - same price as in grocery stores. Unfortunately, they don't have much other than chips and candy - not much in the way of breakfast foods, bread, etc.
