What do I do with the Mickey head paint chips?

I have a stack of a couple of every color of the Mickey head paint chips from Home Depot.. Does anybody have any ideas of cute things to make from them?

Putting them in a scrapbook isn't really an option, since I don't scrapbook.

I'm more of looking for something crafty to make.

Thanks for your ideas and suggestions!

Soak them in water for a few minutes. Then peel them off the cardboard backing. Rub the excess glue/paper off. Let dry. Once dry you can make a garland to decorate your window with. Get a strip of ribbon and stick it between 2 heads. I did this for our Oct trip and used Orange and Black heads.

Another idea, cut out the heads (leave the cardboard on) and attach a magnet.

Here's a pic of the countdown calendar I made recently using mine.

If you're interested in all the details (I put trivia on the back and pics underneath), here's a link to the thread:

That's a really cute calendar!! I already made a countdown chain, though, so I won't make a calendar for this trip. Thanks for the idea! I love how there's trivia on each day :]

I make luggage tags and also put them on the stroller, camera bag and backpack so others know I'm on the DisBoards.

I just carefully peel the Mickey head away from the backing and then glue it to another one that I have pulled off. Then I mac-tac it together and then cut around the Mickey head leaving a little bit of the mac-tac. Then I leave enough room between the ears to hole punch a hole and add the string.

If you look under the home interior board, someone used them to make an ADORABLE bathroom.. it was really creative!!

Deanna - I just looked at the pix of your bathroom with the mickey heads - love it. You are very creative, and gave me some great ideas. Thanks so much. :thumbsup2

I Love Love Love the idea of framing the paint chips to use as wall portraits. I am thinking of using this idea for my son's room. A very fun and creative idea, and not to mention inexpensive!!!:thumbsup2

I made some autograph books with mine. I went to Michaels and found $1 notebooks and some Disney stickers and some jeweled crowns and put them together. I'm going to write the names on the Mickey head.

Here's my plain (for now) one--lime green, of course:

Then one with Tinkerbell and Snow White:

I made five of these and it only cost me about $15, which isn't bad considering an unpersonalized one from the parks costs almost $10 (and I did splurge a bit with the stickers).

Good luck!

Those are the cutest autograph books!!! I love the jewels. When we went to WDW in '08, we thought the only way to do disney was to buy there stuff. However, were we wrong!!! We bought the autograph book and pen from wdw and it cost me a little over $10- the little elastic to hold the pen broke right off and you couldn't personalize it. When I looked at some of the homemade autograph books on here, I couldn't believe some the creativity I saw, and the looks on some of the faces of these children when they received them- so I HAVE to make one for my next trip next year:cloud9:!!!! I bought a small scrapbook with the foam covers from AC Moores (I got it half off because I had a coupon and wound up paying on 2.50 for it- go me:woohoo:). I also had the foam letter sticks in which I am going to personalize it with my son's name (3.99 for a BIG container of letters), along with these absolutley adorable mickey head plastic button stickers that I bought for 2.99. I plan on buying the disney trip stickers that they sell there as well for the inside of the autograph book as well, and will definitely post pictures of it when I am finished!!!!:banana::banana:

thanks. I made them for my most recent DL vacation. Unfortunately, none of them got used as autograph books (one of them has the same drawing on each and every page). the jewels wound up falling off, too, but the ones I found wound up sticking right back on (we were pretty rough on them).
But thanks for the compliments. I love homemade things.
