Something to hold DD Event Ribbons

DD has started to recieve ribbon for fun runs and swim team. Any ideas on how to display them? Do they make something to store/display them?

Hmmm...how about shadow box frames??

My oldest DS did swim team from 99-07. He had tons of ribbons, medals, and trophies! We put them (the ribbons & medals) in frames by year and the frames almost totally cover one wall of his bedroom. It is really neat looking and a great way to showcase his accomplishments!

DD's swim team ribbons are pinned to a surfboard-shaped bulletin board, but she only did swim team one season. If this is going to be an every year thing, you'd have to bulletin board your whole house! :rotfl2:

For a quick and easy ribbon rack, make a large frame and nail (or glue, as ribbons don't weigh much) 1/8" - 1/4" slats to the wooden frame. Then just slide the metal 'hook' on the ribbon over the slat and you have a very easy way to display your ribbons.

My brother was very big into sports when we were growing up. To display all of his "stuff" my dad hung a plate rail all the way around his room. The kind that was like a shelf with a little railing with spindles in the front. All the trophies when on the shelf and the medals and ribbons where looped around the spindles and hung down freely. I don't have any pics but does that make sense?

I tack fishing line right at the ceiling line for my dd's dog show ribbons. I will try to get a picture to show you. Large rosette;s get hung by their hook on the back flat ribbons I use a safety pin

For swim ribbons you can put them in a binder with clear sheet protectors made to hold negatives. They are just the right size for the ribbons!

My DD has a ton of swim ribbons, and while we have not done anything with them, but hang them on some hooks, I know others that hung them around the top of their room (like a border) and others that use tie racks to hang them.

My DS also has tons of swimming ribbons. We have a huge corkboard with a frame around it hanging in his room.. When I swam we put all the ribbons hanging from the top of the walls surrounding the room in fishing line..

And Kudos on the good swimmers. My DS 10 swam in Junior Olympics this year..

this is what we do too. The swim team sells the binder sheets cheap (3 for $1 maybe) and we put them in a binder. I also stick the team picture in the binder (in a sheet protector) as well as a yearly time/meet sheet. Nice to keep them all together.
