Restaurant Questions

I know people do a lot of food related threads, but it just oh so important to get it right!

Question 1. My DS doesn't eat. I know some kids are fussy, mine eats bread and plain pasta. I'm thinking buffets are the way forward. The one in Sequoia Lodge and La Grange are the ones I am considering at the moment. Are these a good choice, I'm hoping he will find some bread or something he can eat loads of then maybe pig out on desert?

Question 2. When you reserve a table at Walts (one night DS will have to put up with it as everyone else wants to eat there!) can you ask for one with views of the street or do you have to take your chances an ask when you get there?

Question 3. As we have half board plus vouchers, are we restricted as to what we can order at Walts, or can we pay the difference if we want something expensive?

Thanks for your time and any advice you can give!:goodvibes

Hi there we have just left Disneyland Paris (currently at CDG airport awaiting our flight home).
We all enjoyed the buffet at Sequoia Lodge, there was plenty of bread rolls, pasta and some lovely desserts, the other buffet we enjoyed was at the Hotel Cheyenne.
We were at Walts last Friday and asked at the desk for a window seat (this was for a 6.30 reservation) we were very lucky to get this, the food was lovely and when we were shown to our table we asked to use the vouchers at face value which was okay so we chose from the whole menu instead of just the half board menu.

At any of the decent restaurants like Walts, just ask for the pasta to have no sauce and they should do it for you. I know they do at California Grill.

We ate at Le Grange last time we were there and there is loads of bread rolls and butter. There is also pasta there, where you put your own sauce on or not have any sauce. There is lots of different types of food there to choose from and we loved it, so much so we will eat there again in September.

I can add that Cafe Mickey will do the kids pasta (mickey shaped!) without the sauce. when my daughter felt a little queasy, they offered to serve it like this with sauce to the side in case she changed her mind.

Thanks for all the replies:hug:

Last time we went we had to eat in Planet Hollywood everynight (I hate PH :sad2:) as we knew they would do pasta with butter on and we didn't want to risk taking him somewhere else and there being nothing he would eat.

It would be quite nice to be able to eat somewhere that everyone is happy!

Answer 1.
We ate the buffet at the Chuck Wagon Cafe (Cheyenne Hotel) this week. We at lunchtime and paid 21.90 (including drink) for an adult (I think children were about half the price). We wer able to go back as many times as we wanted, there was a lovely salad bar, hot dishes, potatoes, pizza, lots of bread, fresh fruit and desserts, we would highly recommend it.
Answer 2.
Haven't eaten at Walts, but I would definitely ask for a table with a view of the street (its always worth a try) and I suppose the earlier you make the ressie the better chance you have. We ate in the Blue Lagoon this week and asked for a table by the lagoon - and got one!

Can't help with question 3 I'm afraid.
Have a great time

The buffet as the Plaza gardens has to be the best value - adults Eur 21.80, kids Euro 8.90 plus a drink. The kids preferred it to inventions.

Buffet menu last week was:

Salad bar - lettuce, tomato/mozorella, cucumber, sweetcorn, russian salad, ham, watermelon, radish, various other salad bits that I can't quite remember as I stuffed out on the mains.....

Mains - Ham Pizza, chicken nuggets, chips, rice, lyonnais potatoes without the garlic, beef stew with olives, beef chunks (fantastically tender), sole and salmon wraps with a light cream sauce, pasta in tomato sauce, meatballs, garlic prawns in shell, lasagne, chicken drumsticks, vegetables, stuffed half jacket potatoes, and some other items as well

Deserts - crepes (help yourself to as many as you want) with a selection of sauces and icing sugar, waffles, chocolate mouse, various desert cakes, mini milk ice cream, fruit salad

Cheeses and breads
