How busy is busy?

When we were there at Easter I would have said the parks were very busy. To give an idea of this these are some typical afternoon wait times.

Disney Railroad - 45 mins.
Thunder Mountain - 1 hour.
Buzz - 1 hour.
Crush - 120 mins.
Small World - 20 mins.

Was this busy or fairly typical in your opinion?

Would Halloween be any better?

I would say it was a reasonable day at Disney, I have seen the following as wait times on a Sat evening in June last year

Disney Railroad - 100 mins.
Thunder Mountain - 180 mins.
Buzz - 120 mins.
Crush - 180 mins.
Small World - 60 mins.
Phantom Manor - 120 mins
Rock n roller Coaster - 120 mins

That day we decided to leave the park early as you couldn't get on anything and all the fast passes had gone for the day.

When I went in Oct for Halloween it was really busy on the Sat but calmer on the Sunday!

I've not been back long and these wait times you've stated are LONGER than the ones I experienced.

It's a Small World was walk on all the time - but Buzz was around 45 mins wait time. Crush was around 50 min-60mins, Rock'n'Roller was 35-40 mins, but Big Thunder Mountain? Forget it if you visit late afternoon! The fast pass queue was nearly as long as the main queue and at 1.30pm it was showing a 7pm ride time or a 130 min wait!!!


One thing was just could not get on was the Railroad. Each time we tried it was a huge line so we gave up. Might need to do a trip just specifically to do that

Yes, we thought going in June would be quieter, it was till the Saturday!!

The morning was fairly quiet but boy did that change after around 12 noon, we popped out back to the hotel for a quick snack and headed back into the park around 3pm to find it was heaving!!

I have since learnt to try and avoid Saturdays if I can!!

We found exactly the same with the train, tried every station and regular times each day, but huge queues every time. We bit the bullet on our last afternoon and waited. It took a good 45 minutes. When our train did arrive we were amazed to see a couple "Excuse me"-ing through the queue, right to the front. We thought they were just moving to the benches at the front, but no, they hopped right on. We didn't mind so much but the line of people who did not fit on were less fortunate.

There's four trains but I don't know how many run together.
