A few random shots:
Good pictures, Stace!! That is one cute baby! I am reading a book and it made mention of Cave Creek, Arizona...I thought that was funny! I had never heard of it before seeing that you are from there!
Cave Creek made national news last month. We had Town Council elections and there was a tie between two men. Arizona State law hasn't been revised in ages.....the tie had to be broken by either a duel or a game of chance. Seriously. So they decided to each draw one card from a deck. The young guy that I'd voted for won with a queen. And it seems all the more fitting, since Cave Creek is a western tourist town.
Normally, I would not be attracted to something called Pub Night, but people on the DIS recommended trying it, so we did.
The first song was fairly "traditional" - something they said was sung in Irish pubs.
I don't recall how many they did, but they became progressively funnier, including David's rendition of the Beer Song, captured here, in crib note style, for those who didn't take notes, but want to impress their friends, sung to the tune of "Do, a deer...." from "The Sound of Music."
Do - what I buy beer with.....
Ra - the guy I buy my beer from
Me - the guy I buy my beer for
Fa - the distance to the store
So - hmm, hmm, hmm (meaning, he was sticking with the tune, but didn't have a beer lyric - I'm sure if you can supply one, they will use it!!)
La - hmm, hmm, hmm (same as above)
Ti - No, I'll have a beer
Do - what I ran out of
.
Now that is funny! And also pretty cool
Wow...I'm a thread-killer!
Is it just me...or is there a plethora of food & beverage pictures with this group??
Thanks for posting these. I have to say that after three cruises I've actually never been to Pirate night. On our first cruise, it was cancelled because of rain and moved indoors to the atrium. We finally had the fireworks on the last sea day. On the second cruise, it was 40 degrees outside and just too cold. This time, DD crashed early after a busy day. DW and I took turns going up on deck, but we spent most of our time at the Quiet Cove. The waiters were attentive also, although it was a bit confusing for them seeing two drinks but only one person at a time.
