And of course my day wouldn't be complete without posting a picture or two of my little man.

Good pictures, Stace!! That is one cute baby! I am reading a book and it made mention of Cave Creek, Arizona...I thought that was funny! I had never heard of it before seeing that you are from there!

Cave Creek made national news last month. We had Town Council elections and there was a tie between two men. Arizona State law hasn't been revised in ages.....the tie had to be broken by either a duel or a game of chance. Seriously. So they decided to each draw one card from a deck. The young guy that I'd voted for won with a queen. And it seems all the more fitting, since Cave Creek is a western tourist town.

We sat across from Bruce, Marta and Amy at The Wave a couple of nights before the cruise (at a special dinner we heard about - even in remote Western NY - through the Tables in Wonderland program - click here if you want to know more about that). Bruce was directly across from me, and I was very interested in his interests, so when I saw them on the cruise, I tended to take extra pictures.

We got to know Kathy at the various "tastings". Here are all their pictures in one place (to make it easier for Kathy to share with others).

Thought I would post this here. The pictures are not the greatest, but it is worth noting that - at least on the 7 night cruise - they organize fun stuff, like this 3-on-3 basketball tournament. Also thought that you might recognize one of your own from the cruise in the pictures.

Normally, I would not be attracted to something called Pub Night, but people on the DIS recommended trying it, so we did.

The first song was fairly "traditional" - something they said was sung in Irish pubs.

I don't recall how many they did, but they became progressively funnier, including David's rendition of the Beer Song, captured here, in crib note style, for those who didn't take notes, but want to impress their friends, sung to the tune of "Do, a deer...." from "The Sound of Music."

Do - what I buy beer with.....
Ra - the guy I buy my beer from
Me - the guy I buy my beer for
Fa - the distance to the store
So - hmm, hmm, hmm (meaning, he was sticking with the tune, but didn't have a beer lyric - I'm sure if you can supply one, they will use it!!)
La - hmm, hmm, hmm (same as above)
Ti - No, I'll have a beer
Do - what I ran out of

The finale was very amusing - I can't recall the lyrics, but the execution was very funny, especially the tennis guy.

He was very good, by the way. If his career goal is Cruise Director, he is definitely earning his stripes.

p.s., Pictures are "clarity challenged" because we are not allowed to use flash....

Now that is funny! And also pretty cool:)

Ahhh yes....one of my all time favorite and not-to-miss shows.
We saw DCL do it for the first time ever on the 11 Night Southern...on the Walt Disney Theater stage. Brent was in the tu-tu then, and it was hysterical!!!

Here's the fill in the blanks....and sadly, even my kids know the words to it (not one of my more proud Mom moments)

SO.....let's have another beer
La....la la la la la beeeer
Ti....No, I'll have another beer....
And that brings us back to beer, beer, beer, beer........

Wow...I'm a thread-killer! :sad1::sad2::sad1:

No member of my entourage can kill a thread.

I'm still posting up pictures to photobucket and am trying to link properly to the short movie clip from the vow renewal.

We've been working on our next vacation. Because of my operation, we wound up with a lot of DVC points we have to use by January. I don't have time to trade or sell them, so we working on an Eastern cruise over Martin Luther King day. We just didn't feel right about taking Kay out for four days without checking with teacher first. It was very tempting since the "secret veranda" room was available. We still might do that, so the entourage should be prepared to travel.

For now, we've decided to do Hilton Head at the end of August. We've been there three times before, but only in January. My use year ends in February and you can always get a reservation at HH in January.

Is it just me...or is there a plethora of food & beverage pictures with this group??

So we like to eat & drink...right? I have tons of food photos...my family thinks I am goofy, but I always take food pics on vacation. Clearly...I am NOT the only one!!

Thanks for posting these. I have to say that after three cruises I've actually never been to Pirate night. On our first cruise, it was cancelled because of rain and moved indoors to the atrium. We finally had the fireworks on the last sea day. On the second cruise, it was 40 degrees outside and just too cold. This time, DD crashed early after a busy day. DW and I took turns going up on deck, but we spent most of our time at the Quiet Cove. The waiters were attentive also, although it was a bit confusing for them seeing two drinks but only one person at a time.

I don't go up for Pirate Night any more. We always have the late dinner, and by the time we get there, it's too crowded anyway.
We usually get a drink and sit on Deck 9 and wait for the fireworks. Then I'll go up and get some pictures.
