Our 3rd Trip to WDW, Sept' 09, *TOC on Pg 1* *TR STARTED - CLICK ON THE LINK*

why are you flying out of SLC? Is it the closest airport to you?

The thought of changing flights and having to check constantly would drive me insane, I hope the flight to WDW doesn't change too much for you.

SLC is our layover on our way home... We fly from PDX, it is only an hour away, but there are no direct flights...

The thought of changing flights and having to check constantly would drive me insane, I hope the flight to WDW doesn't change too much for you.

I finally got tired of waiting and called Delta... They did cancel that one leg of the flight, but have another one that leaves 5 minutes earlier... So I was able to get us moved to that one, and we will still make our connecting flight to Orlando... All is well... For now... :scared:

I have to wait until Monday to get our seats assigned for the PDX to ATL leg of the trip cause they are updating the aircraft... I knew it would change, I had a feeling with their merger with Northwest that we would see at least one change...

Great photos, love the slow shutter sparkler shots... and did I ever say Happy Birthday? I don't remember :( Happy belated! :)

Thanks :goodvibes

Happy birthday.........a little late.

I love the pics of the kids with your hat! It's always fun to see what kids can do with a prop.

I need to learn how to slow down the shutter on my camera, maybe I shuld start with reading the manual?

Kids will do the strangest and cutest things with any prop you give them... I love having my camera close to capture it... And, the manual is a great place to start :lmao:

we've had our flights changed every time we go. Drives me insane! If it's only about an hour's difference I'm ok, but one time they canceled out 6p.m. flight home to a 5 a.m. flight. I was so ticked! Luckily I noticed the change because the airline didn't even send us a notice about it. with the help of disney travel I was able to switch to a different airline.

Oh I would have freaked out over a change that big... I figure that if I check the flights every morning like I do our bank accounts and stuff, then I will always be on the ball... I really want to make sure we gets our seats in the morning, cause I hate being at the back of the plane... I am claustrophobic and have a hard time when we land and everyone stands up to get off the plane... I feel like I can't breathe... If we are close to the front then I can get out of there faster...

I have to get up with Terry in the morning anyways because he has JURY DUTY :scared1: He is actually on a Grand Jury for 2 weeks... Not sure if it is like a regular jury and you have to see if you get picked or not, but on the notice it says clear your schedule for 2 weeks... Not good...

All caught up - I've been out of town.

1. Happy Belated Bday to OregonDaddy! How fun to have a July 4th birthday!
2. Yikes on the flight changes. We just flew back from Texas on Fri. They cancelled our LA to SF flight - "mechanical problems" Yah, like when I checked in the flight was half empty - that's a problem!:rotfl2: We got an upgrade on the next flight, so it was all good.

3. Hope the jury duty thing goes okay. Maybe he should answer the questions like he is really prejudice about whatever the topic is. Or does it work to tell them you already have a prepaid trip and ask for a raincheck?:confused3

Are you down to 60 days!!!?

Welcome home!! Is it raining down there? It is raining pretty good here and we have thunder too...

Terry works in law enforcement so it would not be a good idea to answer questions that way, but that has been a joke around the house... The defense lawyers normally do not want law enforcement officials on a jury, so he may not be there too long! We can hope... He really doesn't mind doing his civic duty, but having to clear his schedule for 2 weeks is rough...

We have 64 days, 5 hours, 54 minutes, and 17 seconds...

Not that I am counting or anything!! :rolleyes1

Good evening everyone!

Been quiet around here... So I thought I would update everyone on our week...

Terry was suppose to start Grand Jury duty today but the trials were settled on plea agreements so he is back into the jury pool... :cool1:

It worked out very well, cause overtime is running wild for Terry right now, and he is actually working a 16 hour day right now...

He is leaving on Thursday evening for Seattle with my Daddy... My Daddy is taking Terry to some races up there for his birthday present... He will be home late Sunday! He is very excited about hot dogs and beer for 3 whole days!!! :woohoo:

While the guys are gone, my Mom and I will take the kids to the beach to do some school clothes shopping... Terry and I are very lucky that my parents like to take care of a majority of the kids school clothes... Saves us a TON of money...

We have a wedding to go to next Friday... and the week after that is pretty quiet, I would really like to go camping, but I don't know if that will pan out or not...

Then the week after that is when Terry will be in Las Vegas... :headache: I am not bitter... Really.. I am not!! :rolleyes1

So that is all that is happening at the OregonParents household...

Not much Disney planning, I know... But we are pretty good with our plans as of now... Although I have been kicking around the idea of a dinner show... But I don't know if it is worth the $210... Has anyone done the HDDMR or the Spirit of Aloha Luau??

When we switched resorts we added water parks back in, and I am going to try and go and enjoy myself... Terry took me shopping for a new bathing suit, and for once in 5 years I left with one I didn't feel like a hippo in...

I think I have figured out why I have such a hard time with swimming and the water parks though... I have had 3 different experiences when I have almost drowned... I was very young when all 3 happened, and I think they have just made me not like water that I can avoid... I used to like water slides and stuff but one of the times I almost drowned was at a water slide place that used to be here in town... I am going to try and get over the fear, and unpleasantness and have fun though, cause I don't want my kids to see me afraid and get scared themselves...

Anywho... I have rambled on enough...

Only 63 days 3 hours and 40 minutes until Disney!!

Hi Toni! I'm glad the jury duty is working out for now!

I have done both HDDR and the Luau.

I really enjoyed ther luau - we loved the food, although some people haven't said good things about it. I thought it was as good as Ohana. You get plenty. We booked the lower end seating, and then they gave us a front row table. I liked the show, although its a little "kitschy" (?) It's a little of a play performance rather than a serious one like real HI. If you remember that, the dancers are talented, and it is fun - you just have to get into it.

HDDR was alot of fun - I thought the show was almost irritatingly corny, and I wouldn't go again, except with a newbie. My nephew, however, fell off his chair he laughed so hard - I think it's probably really fun for kids. You get LOTS to eat, and the food is really good. It is funny - the waiters come around and act rude and slam buckets of food down on your table. The kids really enjoy "playing" the washboards with spoons at the end.:thumbsup2 The actors gert audience participation which changes the show every time, I'm sure. We did the dining plan and used 2TS credits. I think doing those dinners once in awhile makes for great family memories, if you can!

Thank you so much for your reveiws!!! I am going to have Terry read tham and see what he thinks... He kinda grunted at me when I told him how much they are... We don't want to give up our other dining plan meals...

Hey Toni!
Sound like you guys have a busy summer ahead of you. Isn't it crazy that it's already time to think about school clothes?!?! I usually don't do much shopping until around October, because the kids are still wearing summer clother in September because it's still so hot. That will be our major to do after we come back from vacation.

Glad everything worked out with Jury Duty. Tell Terry don't work too hard...he has to save some of that energy for The World! :rotfl:

Today hits our 2 month mark!!!!

Tomorrow my ticker will say 1 month, and something... I am just excited for it to say 1 month!!!

Terry has 56.5 hours of overtime so far for the month... I was hoping he would keep today off since he worked Monday and yesterday, but no, they called at 7 and needed him at 8... They have been desperate all week... Luckily he has this weekend off to go to Seattle for the races, so he doesn't have to work 2 weeks straight...

It's a good day!!!

Our travel agent goddess, as I like to call her, has been on vacation for a few weeks, so we have had our final payment for the trip in savings since like 2 days after she left... I have been dying to get it paid off... Well, she returned this morning and called me and we are PAID IN FULL!!! We are going to DISNEY WORLD!!!:banana::banana:

I took the kids shopping yesterday for school supplies... I thought I might as well get it done early and not have to worry about it when everyone and their dog is in the school supply isle... So we are set... :teacher: After Saturday school clothes shopping with my Mom at the beach, the kids should be totally ready for school...

2 months!!!:banana::banana::banana::banana:

with all that overtime you're both going to need a break!
sometimes being the one at home with the kids all the time need it more than the one working.

Are your parents interested in adopting some grandkids?:rotfl2: School clothes shopping kills me and my bank account.

I totally agree with the one at home with the kids sometimes needs it more... :rotfl: Love those kids dearly but man, there are times that I just want to hide...:scared:

You know, if my brother doesn't get on the ball soon with giving my parents some grandkids, they may take you up on it... My Dad has been bugging Terry and I to have another... I told him that I filled my quota... :lmao:
