Our 15 day summer adventure to WDW! NEW TR LINK 11/6 pg. 49!!

All caught up! Looks like you are having a great time so far, even with a few glitches thrown in.
Even better now that Tim and Lesley are in the picture!

I have to admit if I had seen Bryan going under that rope at AK I would have felt the need to stalk him and take his picture for my trip report...... I know shameless.......:rotfl2:

Can't wait to read more!

Oh I hate technical difficulties:confused3 ...and why do they always seem to happen in pairs???

Love O'Hana, I do miss the potatoes though, but not enough to keep me away, Jasmine usually devours the entire plate of wings....she's a lovely, beautiful young lady, but put a plate of those wings in front of her.....well let's say, not so attractive;)

I love LTT for lunch....especially in the summer if you are planning on staying at the park, you need that break. I love the pot roast and that cake is to die for:lovestruc I was disappointing when they took the griddled pound cake off the menu, but when I had that little piece of heaven last summer, all was forgiven.....god and I wonder why I'm fat:confused3

It's so fun to read your and lesley's TRs at the same time.:goodvibes

Wow, that was a long day for you all. Nice that you took a long lunch at LTT to cool off. When we went to Poly they never did do the coconut races. They did the limbo and some dancing/singing. Coconut races sound fun!

All the tech difficulties would put me is a grouchy mood, too especially in the heat. I love how you are all wearing red shirts .. looks good in the pics. I have the same red Mickey shirt as you and I just love that shirt.

Your meals looked really good. I love the pics of yours and Lesley's kids together ... that's great that they hit it off so quickly.

Hi, I found your TR through a link from TimandLesley's TR. I had to read it because we are staying at SSR in October.

I'm loving your trip. You look like such a fun family. Sorry about the heat, it looks so steamy in some of your pictures.

Okay all caught up.

Love the mouse ears. I wish we had taken time to do that. Splash Mountain and BTMR rock at night. They just seem more daring at night. We went to 'Ohana's for dinner too but it was after 6. We missed out on the coconut races. They did the limbo and hula lessons. We enjoyed this meal the best. My sister walked out with the recipe for the peanut sauce.

What time did you'll leave that night? We stayed until right before midnight, but we also had a small break that day and slept in the next morning. I can't believe we were in the same place so many times and we never ran into each other.

Going to the bathroom at LTT is a pain. The girls went twice and because the carpet reminded Danielle of Haunted Mansion I had to go with her. Their bathrooms are just too small.

I love your Trip Report - it's awesome! Your family is darling and they look like they're having a great time. :goodvibes

I will for sure have to add the T-Shirt making to our itinerary for December - that looks like so much fun! The boys did a great job on their shirts!

Can't wait to read more, great so far! :thumbsup2

That stinks that two of the rides were having problems! Between that and the heat, a foul mood is understandable. Thank goodness for good food and good friends to get the Disney magic back alive!

The boys' ears were really cute! I wanted to go in there but my kiddos weren't really into it. Maybe next year I'll just get my own!;)

So glad to hear you all enjoyed 'Ohana - it's on our list for Sept. LOVE the mouse ears, we will definately do that, too! Great update!

It is so funny to me how different your MK day is... I guess we will tour more like you all when Luke is bigger and the girls are less girly! I am amazed at the bad luck you had .... it seems like HM is not always ready in the AM at opening, I know there was a day when we were there that happened too.

Glad you had so much fun with Lesley and gang.

Two great meals in one day, we need to do LTT someday!

I was so far behind that I only just now caught up--great pictures and updates!!
love the designed T-shirts of the boys:goodvibes
fun Mickey raviloi
sad, but good point about riding in the front of the monorail:sad1:
glad you guys enjoyed La Nouba

I'm glad you are all caught up! La Nouba was such fun!

Oh can't wait to go back and read!

WELCOME, thanks for joining us!!!

good looking mouse ears
so fun to hang out with "new" friends:goodvibes

Thanks Shannon, it sure was fun spending time with our new friends!

Oh man

That stinks you ran into so many tech difficulties that morning

I am glad you enjoyed LTT. They have best food in there and peaceful in there

Ohanas food looked so good...have only ever had breakfast there.

Do they have a kids menu for dinner?

How cool you met up with Lesley and her gang.

Kids looked like they had a blast together.

Glad that turned your day around

Oh I forgot..I love the ears the boys made. I so have to do that when we go :woohoo:

Thanks Kelly! We had lots of fun with Lesley and her family! Kids can order grilled cheese, hamburger or chicken nuggets at Ohana for dinner!

What a headache and really, what are the odds, that so many rides would have been non-functioning that day??? :(

Lunch and dinner both look good!

Laughing about the hats -- like you said over on my TR, the pictures look very familiar!

How fun to spend some time with Tim and Lesley's gang! :goodvibes

Thanks Jackie, I was mostly frustrated with myself for not following a plan that I printed, I just thought it might be nice to go with the flow! We had really nice meals this day!

Sorry about all the technical difficulties with the rides in MK.

Dinner at Ohana is definately a "must do" for dh and me....The noodles were my favorite when we were there in September!

Can't wait to read more!

Thanks! You will enjoy Ohana, I really hope you get to go!!

Oh my my what a fun post! Now, I realize it didn't start off perfectly, but I am glad the afternoon and evening righted itself. Ohanas... wow. I lost that ADR when we changed our dates in June/July and couldn't get another so really hoping for in in Dec... THANK YOU for taking the photos and the details!!! I can't wait! How fun that you met up with Tim and Lesley and kids! That seems so fun :) And glad you got your rides in afterall!!!!

Glad to know LTT was good too.... never been there, but thought about trying it as an inside the park option... Pot roast looks yummy! :upsidedow

Thanks so much! Your boys would love the activities at Ohana, such a fun atmosphere! The pot roast was yummy!

Oh Diane ooey gooey toffee cake....I can't wait:cool1: Too bad about all the ride problems. In that heat especially when you are trying to expend the least amount of energy and get the most out of the park. Glad you and Lesley could cheer each other up:cool1: Love the Poly too, your drink looks scrumptious, I believe I had one at another restaurant while there. The only thing is they are as bad as a milkshake...they fill me up too much(if that's possible)
I'm still laughing about the Lincoln remark:lmao::lmao:told several people at work about it:rotfl2:They didn't think it was quite as funny as I did, perhaps if I could tell it without snorting with laughter it might help:rotfl2:

It was nice to forget about the morning and just laugh with Lesley acting like kids! You are TOO FUNNY telling our stories at work! Thanks for making ME laugh!

I love all the food pics and the create your own ears place rocks!

Thanks Nicole!

Yikes! I cannot believe all of those rides were having problems! It was fun to read about the meandering-type of time you had at the MK, though. Sounds perfect afterall - especially being able to use your fastpasses after dinner. :)

Love the ears! Very cute!

Thanks so much! The boys had fun making the ears and choosing all the items for them!

Wow, I made it over, page 11! Talk about being on the ball.....,:sad2:

Yay! I am glad you are here Anita!

All caught up! Looks like you are having a great time so far, even with a few glitches thrown in.

TOO FUNNY about chasing Bryan down for a photo! I guess I shouldn't tell you that he videotaped Soarin either!:rolleyes1

Oh I hate technical difficulties:confused3 ...and why do they always seem to happen in pairs???

You are HILARIOUS!!! Does your daughter know what you are writing? and AFTER she did the dishes for you!!!!

Thanks so much! So funny because ohana didn't have the limbo when we were there!!

I LOVE that Mickey shirt too! It makes another appearance on the trip!

How funny we never ran into one another! We left around 9:20 I would say! Your poor DD and the carpet! Splash was so much fun at night, we LOVED it!

I love your Trip Report - it's awesome! Your family is darling and they look like they're having a great time. :goodvibes

Thank you SO much! Thanks for joining us and posting!!! The t-shirt making was alot of fun!

Thanks! You should definitely get your own ears!!!

just read your TR. eric is one funny person! sounds like you guys are having fun. minus the heat

WELCOME and thanks for posting! Yes, Eric keeps us laughing, that's for sure!!

So glad to hear you all enjoyed 'Ohana - it's on our list for Sept. LOVE the mouse ears, we will definately do that, too! Great update!

Thanks! Definitely do Ohana if you can, such fun!! The mouse ears were fun for the kids!

Thanks Laura! That was the nice thing about this trip being so long, I knew we didn't have to cram everything into 1 or 2 days! We did have alot of fun with Tim and Lesley and the kids!! That stinks you had trouble with the HM too!

!

Thanks Kelly! We had lots of fun with Lesley and her family! Kids can order grilled cheese, hamburger or chicken nuggets at Ohana for dinner!

Thanks Diane

I have always wanted to eat dinner there, but never knew they had grilled cheese there for kids. That is Trent's favorite :goodvibes

Another great update! :thumbsup2 Sounds like you were able to make the best of your day even with so many rides being broken down - that is the worst!!

Today we were supposed to head back to the Animal Kingdon but the night before Bryan had asked me whatthe plan was and when I said Animal Kingdom he grumbled a litttle and said he didn't really feel like going back so soon! I asked the boys what they wanted to do. I asked if they jst felt like sleeping late and swimming and they jumped up and yelled YES! So there you have our plan totally out the window! We had an ADR at Yak & Yeti for lunch that I needed to cancel and I had to fill in a lunch! So I went to the online dining which I LOVED! It was so easy and convenient! I made a reservation for the Turf Club and figured I would call disney dining in the morning!

We slept until 9:35!!!! I guess we really needed some rest! We leisurely got up and got dressed and walked over to Artists Palette to use some snack credits for breakfast! After breakfast I needed to do some laundry and now I had the perfect chance to do it!! Bryan and the boys went back to the room and relaxed a bit and played with their drawing books!

Our lunch reservation was for 12:00 noon! I forgot to mention! Before we left for Disney Bryan had really started running a whole lot more and was starting to feel sore and achy (sp?) He said "Maybe I should just suck it up and go for a massage" That was all I needed to hear because if you remember, I was STRUGGLING with an idea for Father's Day! So I called the SSR Spa and booked a 50 minute swedish massage! When Bryan opened his card, there was a note with the gift written on it! He was VERY nervous about actually going through with it because he is just NOT a massage person. Well his appt. was originally for 4pm because I thought we would need later because we were supposed to be at Animal kingdom! Well now that we didn't go, I changed the time to 3:00pm so we would have plenty of time to get to the Animal Kingdom Lodge for our Boma ADR at 6:00!

We got to the Turf Club and I took some pictures...

This was hanging on the wall leading to the restaurant!

IMG_6393.jpg

The boys LOVED that there was a pool table and begged to play!

Some more pictures of the waiting area!

IMG_6399.jpg

After about 5 minutes, we were shown to our table! I immediately LOVED the atmosphere in here. It was so neat and clean and very well themed!

Matthew begged Bryan to play pool after lunch!

Sorry guys, photobucket is giving me problems so I have to end it here for now!

Relaxing resort days can be so nice!!! I really like the Turf Club from the pictures you have so far! Looking forward to reading your review of the food.

Sorry photobucket acting up

Great update so far :thumbsup2

I bet sleeping in felt so good :goodvibes

I never heard of Surf and Turf Club. Curious to hear your review :goodvibes

Massage sounds heavenly. I hope Bryan enjoyed it

Sure we will find out all later popcorn::

So we were getting ready to order at the Turf Club!

I had the onion rings appetizer and Bryan had goat cheese and tomato salad which he LOVED!!

I had a grilled chicken sandwich that was delicious!

IMG_6411.jpg

Bryan had seared yellowfin tuna which he LOVED!

IMG_6410.jpg

For dessert, I had a chocolate lava cake with rasberry sauce which was very good!

IMG_6414.jpg

Bryan had sugar free pound cake with berries!

IMG_6415.jpg

While eating at the Turf Club, you could also eat outside! It was much to hot to do it on this day but the pation was pretty overlooking the golf course!

IMG_6407.jpg

We finished our terrific lunch and the boys got their wish to play pool! I would recommend the Turf Club, we had excellent service and a really good meal!

IMG_6417.jpg

IMG_6418.jpg

Notice the repeat of outfits has started!! Remember, I had done laundry!!

The pool ball were so cute with Mickey's on them!

IMG_6420.jpg

After lunch, we went back to the room and the boys and Bryan watched Stacy while I put all the laundry away! Before we knew it , it was time for Bryan to head over to the spa! Our plan was that I would take the boys over to DTD to shop and Bryan would meet us over there and we would catch an Animal Kingdom Lodge bus from there together for our dinner at Boma!

We showered and got dressed and headed down to the boat to take us to DTD!

IMG_6422.jpg

Our captain!

The boys on the boat, we had it to ourselves!!

the view looking back towards Saratoga....

IMG_6429.jpg

The boat drops you off at Pleasure Island, so once we got off, we had to make our way over to the Marketplace!

I took these pictures of the new T-Rex restaurant! This place was hopping and it looked so neat in there!

IMG_6432.jpg

IMG_6433.jpg

IMG_6434.jpg

Our destination was the Lego store! The boys wanted to fill up a big tub each to add to their collections.....

IMG_6435.jpg

IMG_6436.jpg

IMG_6437.jpg

Man was it HOT in this part of the store, I guess because the doors would stay open for minutes at a time! Bryan usually tries to fit the legos into the containers for the boys, strategically placing them so we get the most for our money! I had to take on this role and I could feel sweat dripping down my nack and I was getting so frustrated, it is so TEDIOUS putting all those stinking Legos in those tubs! Finally Mission accomplished and we paid and had them sent back to our resort!

We browsed in a few more stores...
