Hi All,
My Grandson will be making his first visit to Disney with us in October and will not be 3 til December. When making ADR's I presume we should be booking a seat for him as well, but do we also need to pay for him to have a meal from the child's menu or is he allowed to share our food or alternatively have his own food which we have supplied, at the table?

My understanding is, if you order something off the menu specifically for him, you will have to pay for it. If you are at a buffet or family style place, he can eat from the buffet at no charge and he can eat from the family dishes with no hassles. I don't think they care if you bring outside snacks in. We ate at buffets and family style places with our two year old and were never charged for her. We did always mention her in the reservation though, so they had a place ready for her at the table.

Yes, you will need to book a seat from him. He will be able to eat off of your plate for free. At buffets, he can get his own plate at no charge.

Oddly, at Akershus dinner, they allowed us to order separate meals for both my almost 3 year old and my 13 month old. The server said they could order what they wanted and it would be free. I asked her twice because I was certain that we would be charged for their meals and at $21/kid meal for Akershus dinner in June, I didn't want to learn an expensive lesson. We weren't charged, though.
