What to drop?

For our upcomming trip we are doing the Deluxe dinning, we have 24 meal credits each. I accidently booked 26 credits worth of food places. I thought about paying out of pocket for two of them but have since decided to drop two credits worth and just grab quick service or something for that meal. Which restaurant(s) should we drop?

Here is what I have booked
Shutters @ Dinner, 1 credit
Sci fi @ lunch, 1 credit
Artist Point@ Dinner 2 credits
Coral Reef @lunch, 1 credit
Yachtsman Steakhouse@Dinner, 2 credits
Grand Floridian Cafe @ Breakfast, 1 credit
California Grill@dinner, 2 credits
Tusker House@ Breakfast, 1 credit
Yak & Yeti@lunch, 1 credit
Jiko@Dinner, 2 credits
Kona Cafe@breakfast, 1 credit
Narcosses@dinner, 2 credits
Chef Mickey's@lunch, 1 credit
Cape May Cafe@Dinner, 1 credit
1900 ParkFare@Breakfast, 1 credit
Kona Cafe@dinner, 1 credit
CRT@Breakfast, 2 credits
Le Cellier@Lunch, 1credit
Flying Fish Cafe@Dinner, 2 credits

Diners include myself, my DH who is a major foodie, and my DS6 who will probably be nintendo DS involved for alot of the dinning experiences minus the character meals.

Thanks for any inputs!! :thumbsup2

I would drop either Shutters or GF Cafe. Not sure that Shutters really has anything you can't find elsewhere and you are eating at the GF at other times throughout your trip.

Looks like a fantastic list! What a great "problem" to have! ;)

Have fun!

I would definitely drop shutters, then take your pick between Yak & Yeti and 1900 Park Fare.

I would 100% KEEP Le Cellier, Jiko, Kona, California Grill, Yachtsmen Steakhouse, and Flying Fish. I have not eaten at all the other restaurants, but I would agree that Shutters would be my first choice to drop because you can probably order anything you would get there at another restaurant.

and Yeti and Tusker House on the same day? That's quite a bit of food if so and I would seriously consider dropping the Yak and Yeti ADR.

I wouldn't drop any yet. You never know when you're plans will change and you have to cancel an adr the day of, so you will have something to fall back on. Just a thought.

Honestly... for me - I'd drop the "CRT Breakfast", but that's me. Assuming that your schedule is suggesting breakfast or lunch, and dinner for each day... I would probably drop "Shutters" (even though it appears to be your "dinner" for your first night there, hummmmm !) and "Cape May Cafe'" (hummmmm, another dinner !) Wow.... But I'd still drop "CRT", because if I'm reading your list correctly, you'll be having breakfast, lunch and dinner that particular day, and that's a lot of food ! I probably shouldn't assume about your schedule, though....:rolleyes1

I'd drop a breakfast on a day that you have a lunch scheduled. If hungry, you can just grab a snack to tide you over to lunch.

Maybe even one of those that are later in your visit when you are starting to get tired of eating so much food!!
----------
Another possibility: Drop a lunch on a day when you have a big breakfast.

Drop Yak & Yeti! We've had two really bad experiences there (gross food and terrible service). It could be a huge disappointment for you- especially if DH is a food like us. (We went back for a 2nd time b/c my DH REALLY wanted to try the dim sum app, but we were just miserably disappointed!) Never again!

I would pay OOP at Sci-Fi. Burgers are not much more than at counter service.
I would think about how your son will do at all those long meals. That might get old to him real fast.
Have a great trip!

That's an excellent point.

If it were me, I'd look at the times I had booked and see if I had any two meals too close together, and then start there. I gather there's a ton of food, so I'm thinking anything less than about 5.5 or 6 hours apart is too close together.

haha, yes it is a wonderful problem to have :goodvibes

We are going for 10 days. I'm sooo excited!

DS6 loves playing his DS, which he will only get during meals, we learned this trick while cruising, he isn't a very active member in conversation at dinner but he remains entertained after he is done eating, before we are, I know the meals can last a long time.

Im still up in the air about the 2 days where we have 3 meals in one day. That is ALOT of eating even though I have 5-6 hours between the meals. When factoring eating time etc it may only be a few hours between.

I think I'm going to take the majorities advice and drop Shutters, we could grab QS so we can get to MK faster that first night. Then probably do oop for Sci Fi or Kona @ breakfast. I know it's bad to hold ressies but maybe I will keep the Yak and Yeti and just see if we are hungry that day by our ressie time. Last year we didn't even stay at AK till lunch time so who knows... :confused3

Thanks for the advice! If I can get computer savvy enough I will load up pics I will do a review of my food adventures when my trip is done.

Of THOSE, the Yachtsman to me is easily dropped, I would much rather eat at Shula's if I want an elegant Steak dinner in Disney. I have to say the Yachtman is one of the most overrated restaurants in Disney, but I am VERY picky about steak houses, going through College I was a waiter in a high class steakhouse. The Yachtsman left me cold...nothing special at all about the meat and the service we had was subpar.

Outside of that, Sci Fi and Chef's Mickey's are nothing special to me. But I think all of your other choices are outstanding. I still love the Akershus at Norway for something different though, the character dinner is very nice. Also love my Fish and Chips at the Rose and Crown. Looks like you will have a wonderful trip. The Cedar Plank Salmon if still served is what I would get at Artist Point.
