You're the best parents in the world! I gotta pee! Where's My Tooth? Trip report!

I figure they'll send a replacement package out soon because I just changed resorts last week. I'll call them just to make sure though. Is it totally naughty of me to wonder if these vouchers AND the vouchers in the replacement are good?:rolleyes1

I bet they do send another set, and I would surely use them. (the Planet Hollywoods at least)

Great updates. I got far behind again! LOL!

I would put that book on a different shelf and see if it still falls. Well it might not if things are settling down, but if they heat back up, surely try that too.

Good Morning, Lisa (and ghosts)... hope you have a great day! Looking forward to more updates and stories about your "friends".

So, I have been in a Disney planninng lull because of too much real-life interuptions and busyness and stress and reading your Trip Report (I read the actual parts of the trip, skimmed the chitchat - although yipes about the ghost!) and it has gotten me excited again for our trip!!! Thank you!! And can't wait to read more!!

I understand what you are talking about. I am doing this trip report, getting ready to go to Georgia next Friday to see our daughter graduate her 2nd year of missionary college, trying to find gifts for the mission students, getting ready for our WDW vacation, etc. etc. etc. I'm glad you're reading along though and I'm glad I could add a little excitement during your wait!

Hi there, just found your TR yesterday and i'm all caught up now, great pics. You guys really seemed to luck out with lines and waits so far in the trip. I was there with my parents the same week, same hotel, and same surprise! HOW WEIRD! We were in Aruba. And it was our first stay at CBR

Thanks so much for joining my trip report. We did luck up line/wait times. We know if anything has a 30 minute or less wait, hop on in that line because we've seen way worse.

I can't believe we were there at the same time and at the same resort. We probably passed each other and didn't even know it. How did you like the CBR?

I find myself getting behind on reading my subscribed trip reports too. I'll get all caught up and then...wham...I'm behind again.

I've been watching the book and it hasn't moved yet. I'm also still bringing the camera to work.

Morning! Thanks for the well wishes. Hope you have a great one too. My boss came in and said the door was unlocked and open again when he got here. I usually beat him in the office in the morning but he got here first.

This is almost as exciting as a vacation. Ok, it isn't but it's the best thing I've got going for a while. Keep up the report.

It seriously inspired me - I started working on our touring plan last night! Anyway, I can't wait to read more - it's been a good ride. And then once you're done, there'll be the August trip!!

:thumbsup2 Yep, I agree!

I'm happy that I can provide you guys with some entertainment both with the trip report and the ghost stories.:upsidedow

I really appreciate the kind words. I am so afraid that my next trip report is going to be boring. Actually, I'm kinda hoping it will be boring because I don't want to go through some of the things we went through last trip.

I'm going to try to get another installment up this afternoon. Don't worry ya'll the hidden Mickey pictures are on their way and there's a lot of them.

I can't wait to see. Sheri and I searched and found several and made up several of our own. A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do to see the Mouse.

John is always telling me that I make up Hidden Mickeys. Sometimes it takes him a while before he sees the Mickey. Men!

It was good, just not what I had expect. Ever since my first trip we stayed in the Deluxe hotels, not that I would've known the difference and since it was a budget trip and my mom had heard great things about it on the DIS that we gave it a try. I wasn't disappoint but not what I expect.

Whew! I've read your entire TR!

The ghosts are just plain spooky! My mom works at a university and the building she works in is haunted. Strange things have happened there both experienced by myself/my mom and heard by friends/coworkers. (She works at Monmouth Univ. where they filmed the movie Annie).

Once we had our ponchos on, we walked the rest of the way through the trail stopping every once and a while if we saw something that interested us. Then we see this sign:

After we got under the cover of the train station, we pulled off our ponchos so we wouldn't get the seat wet for the next set of people who would ride the train. That was a stupid move because it was still raining a little and the rain would sometimes come in on us but it wasn't too bad. We get to Rafiki's Planet Watch station and we let everybody go ahead of us so I could snap this picture:

It had started to rain harder so out come the ponchos again! I stopped to take a picture of this sign because every time I see it, I want one to put in my backyard:

When we got to the building, we took off our ponchos and stopped immediately to take pictures of the mural and hidden Mickeys:

And a few of my goofus child:

About this time, there was another wave of people coming in and we decided to move on.

Hey! There's Jiminy Cricket! In all of our 13 trips to Disney, we've never seen him.

Then, we visited Mr. Blue Booty himself....Rafiki:

100_0908-1.jpg

We walked around a bit and looked at the various animals and talked with castmembers about the food they feed them. Over near one window, there was a screen saying they would be doing some veterinary work in about 15 minutes. To kill some time, we hopped into one of the sound booths and listened to the narrator talk about rainforests.
100_0909.jpg

We decided that we'd go ahead and find a spot in front of the window where they'd be bringing the animals out so we could see. Just a few minutes later a castmember came out with his microphone and told us that they were going to be doing check-ups on several of their snakes. They would be doing x-rays, drawing blood and giving them some kind of vitamin. I absolutely hate snakes but they don't bother me too much so long as they are behind glass.

By the time they brought out the first snake, a lot of people had gathered around and I got a little p.o.'d when one of the mothers asked if Hunter would move back so her kids could stand in front of him. Not could he move over, not could we squeeze in.....could he move so they could stand in FRONT of him. I looked at her kids who were about the same height as Hunter and politely said "No because he won't be able to see over them. But, we will move over a little bit." She acted like she got mad but I didn't care. If they had been little bitty short kids, then yes, I would have had Hunter let them in front but they were almost as tall as him...maybe 2 inches shorter. The kids ended up being little heathens...jumping up and down, falling over on another kid, stepping on Hunter's foot, shouting....just heathens.:headache:

Anyway, they start doing the work on the snake and I'm okay with it. It's just a snake behind glass. And, then, they poked it with a needle and I started to get a little swoony feeling. I knew that I didn't like seeing needles poked in humans but who knew I would get all pukey feeling when they poked a snake? :confused3 I swallowed really hard several times and averted my eyes until they were finished. When they said they were bringing out another snake, I told Hunter I was going to go sit down near the wall and call his Dad.

It took about three phone calls before John ever answered the phone. I told him it was mid-morning and he needed to get up so he could come meet up with us. I made him promise he was out of the bed and walking around before I hung up.

Hunter found his way over to me after the second snake had been worked on and said he was ready to go even though they were bringing out another snake. Before leaving, we walked back to the mural and took a few more pictures:

While riding on the train back to the park, Hunter and I decided to just walk around a bit while waiting on John to get ready to meet us. We shopped a little and found some handcarved walking canes in the store in Africa. I told Hunter to remind me to show them to his Dad. We had my brother-in-law's name for Christmas and he walks with a cane. NOBODY and I mean NOBODY in my family wants to get my brother-in-law's name for Christmas. He is just really hard to buy for so I was glad to find something unique for him. I wanted John's opinion on which cane to get so I didn't buy one just yet.

The Tree of Life was right ahead of us and we went on over to take a look at the carvings.

Up next, lots of Tree of Life pictures.

Just loving this! Wanted to share an experience I had at AK when we were visiting the conservation station. We arrived at the station and there was hardly anyone inside, so we went in and walked around in the air conditioning! While inside they brought in a lion to work on his teeth! They were all wearing microphones and were right next to the glass! It was so cool! Of course the lion was out cold! It was the closest I have ever been to a lion! It was amazing!!! The things we get to experience in WDW!!! That is why we love it SO much & keep going back!!!! Can't wait to read more!

I bet everyone has this type of person in their "name-drawing" circle. I always get this person. And it's always a guy. :sad2:

Love these pics. Glad there were no pictures of snakes. I hate snakes and other things that crawl in the night. I know I've said that before but I really do. Except Mickey and Minnie. No other ones. If you get my drift. You will have to see if Hunter can find Mickey contacts. Then his eyes could match. I couldn't see them till you did the close up.

Then, we visited Mr. Blue Booty himself....Rafiki

My grandson Alex calls him Blue Bottom Boy. I have a cute picture of him too which will be on my next trip report.

We will see if John makes it over won't we?

I have been busy today working. Darn it anyway. Not liking it one bit.

Great update. :goodvibes

I don't blame you, I wouldn't have made Hunter move to let the other children who were almost as tall as he was in front. :snooty: That wouldn't have been fair. And then to have them misbehave like that. Seems they may take after their mother, no manners. ;). (sorry, I shouldn't have said that! :rolleyes1)

Cute picture of Hunter in the alligator's mouth and I adore the hidden Mickeys. :cheer2:

Oh my gosh, I would have loved being there for the lion. You are so lucky!

The little things like Hunter getting chosen for the streetmosphere show, Hunter's joke getting picked at The Laugh Floor, castmembers giving us free ice cream for our anniversary, are what make Disney so special to us. Never mind the fact that Hunter took his first five consecutive steps in the Magic Kingdom. I love Disney!!!!

Ugggg! I just hated it when I pulled his name out.:scared1:

I didn't take pictures of the snakes 'cause I'm scared to death of them too. If they made hidden Mickey contacts, Hunter would be all over them. Heck, I would be too!

Looking forward to seeing the picture of Alex and Blue Bottom Boy.

John finally makes it over later in the day. Maybe in the next installment.

I know what you mean about being busy at work. I get stuff off my desk and it just gets put right back on. What's up with that?:confused3

Love all the hidden Mickey pictures--:goodvibes The one with Hunter in the alligator's mouth--too cute!!! Now, why don't I ever think of taking pictures like that.

We didn't spend too much time at Conservation Station because of the snakes, and DS's fear of them. I would have enjoyed spending a little more time there..oh well.:rolleyes1

Glad you didn't make Hunter move for those other kids, especially if they were his size anyway....What was the mother thinking???:confused3
