Hey did y'all see yesterday it was 12:34 and 56sec on 7/8/09? That is for my math weenie son!!


It's The Day Before Friday!! And I have the rest of the week off!!!
My List for Today:

Drive to beach with DH

Beach till Sunday!!

Dinner... something yummy with DH

Have a fun weekend at the beach Debbie!

My DH and I are going to take a drive along the beaches of the panhandle today. It'll be a fun day spent together just the two of us. And, I'm looking forward to checking out some beach areas that I haven't seen. We've lived here 6 years and there's still a lot that we haven't explored yet!!!

It looks like it will be nice enough to go to the farm today. Enough already! Yesterday they thought a tornado had touched down in the town next to us, but they are now calling it a microburst. Either way, I'm glad I was about 15 miles away at work when it went on. DH and Morgan were nervous though.

That does seem quick Joyah. My dad had one knee work on in mid-June, but he was out the next day. They just did some scraping, pulling out of broken pieces and re-aligning them. He will need it replaced in the future though. Both also.

Deb I thind your fairy bit me. I've torn through the downstairs of the house yesterday in 2 hours. Still have little pieces here and there but it is basically done there. I need to get the upstairs done now that's the project while he finishes mowing. I decided to keep going while I was on the cleaning spree.
So off to tackle the bedroom and bathroom hopefully I'll have a few extra mins to work in the office.

AWM I thought it was really quick but he's so strong and in such good shape that he's literally been named the poster boy he's only 68. Today PT is going to try stairs with him. Their back stairs go up 5 have a landing another 5 and landing to the last 5 so his up and down trip 1 time a day won't be to bad. Plus we had my Nana there after her stoke and still have the hospital bed in the 1st floor bed room so he really won't have to do stairs the first few days. This house was built to have them get old so it has a lot of accesibility features wide halls no rugs that can't be moved. Be forwarnd that this type of surgery has the most equipment and plugs outside of the cardiac care. His nurse has been great.

Good morning, everyone!!

Have a great time at the beach, ladies! And that cleaning fairy should come to my house, too! Though she might take one look at it and run the other way!

I should have a list today, but I don't. Just going to enjoy the day with my little man! DH just surprised us both. He called and said, "Would you like to go to WDW in December?" Evidently, we had some leftover DVC points, and we already bought our AP's for our upcoming trip, so they'd still be good. SO, if nothing happens, we'll be there for our 10th anniversary! I'm SO excited!! Of course, we'll come home 5 days before Christmas, but I can get everything together for a trip AND for Christmas with a 16 month old, right???

SIOH~ yes it can be done....
First make your list now for what you all want to get him... pick one or two items and start buying them each check.... by Thanksgiving you should be about done minus the spontaneous buys.. wrap them up Thanksgiving weekend when DH can help! (or other family members)... This is what we do.. as soon as back to school is done, I start our Christmas... This year the smaller Christmas of my 3 kids will be super small..but they are getting what they asked for.. 1. Park Hopper tix, 2. DD ?, DS13?, DS8 I-pod Nano that he asked for.
Then the larger Christmas w/ all 5 kids will be needs only (clothing, movie tickets, etc.).

Ok, Today I have alot on my plate so I won't be around much after I post this..
this is in no particular order

order photos from artscow... 100 free 4x6 and 50 free 5x7 tomorrow, good friend was driving thru IN so I went to meet him @ McD's for a few... still a sweetie!
order photos from walmart to pick up (DD's scrapbook project)
order photos from walmart to be mailed to the house tomorrow, good friend was driving thru IN so I went to meet him @ McD's for a few... still a sweetie!
go through LOs done from the 2008 Dis/Sanibel/Ft. Myers trip so I don't order the same flippin' photos
DD15 to try on bridesmaid dress and alter the neck clasp if needed
Iron DS8's tux vest
Avoid Bridezillas calls she is in panic mode and it's everyone elses fault.. Although I'm the only that doesn't play nice and take the abuse, I give it back twice as much as she gives... You aren't going to blame me for your sad excuses of bridesmaids (my DD excluded she is a minor).
Fill in and attach DS8's mini 4-H labels to his projects
DD to put the final touches on her photography project (needs to attach title)
DD to finish up the last 3 LOs for her scrapbooking project (need photos first)
DH to call about rabbit (re: pick up time is the same time as wedding! )
clean up house
kids to clean their own rooms
call and set up Dr's appts for me and DH (regular check ups)
check calendar haven't done that all week
let DD drive today
DD has important fair mtg tonight at 7pm
ck w/ DD schedule for the next 2 weeks w/ pre-fair activities

Thanks, Nan!! That's really great advice! I've been putting back $ since last Christmas (not a lot, just a little) in my own little savings for a "Christmas Club" type thing. I have DS's Christmas taken care of (money wise). I just have to figure out what to get DH. The wrapping on Thanksgiving is a great plan! We usually put our tree up then, and then I could get the wrapping done. I also usually schedule DS's Christmas pics that weekend (Thanksgiving) because we're off the Wednesday/Thursday/Friday before. So, I could have the Christmas cards ready, too! This can be done. It'll just take lots of planning. I can say that here. When DH called, he said, "Will this stress you out? Planning the trip AND Christmas?" And of course I said, "NOOOOO!!!"

Joyah, good to hear your Dad is coming home. Sounds like he was a poster boy for his surgery.

Brooke, Disney decorated for Christmas is wonderful. Think of all the great pictures you can take of your handsome little elf with the different Santas of the world.

I have enough for jam, but the seeds are huge! My Little Bit won't like it if I leave the seeds in. I tried to mush them with a spoon in a strainer. Oh, yes, you should have seen me. After squashing 12, yes I counted, berries, I quit.
They are now sitting in the freezer.
DH picked up a food mill for me, so we are going to try to pick some more tomorrow morning while the freezer ones defrost and try again.

I've decided I like black raspberries much more than blackberries. Not only because of the seed size, but the thorns on the canes of blackberries are HUGE. And the old canes don't bend nicely like the raspberry ones do. I think the old canes got me as much as the new ones. The scratches from them on my hands, arms, oh and yes, my face - hurt. I made the mistake of using alcohol gel after grocery shopping. Won't do that again. Hmm, wonder if I can DH to do the grocery shopping next week.
