Great start Diane. I know how you feel about delayed flights we were delayed last August for 7 hours in Newark my 3 kids were freaking out we finally arrived at BCV at 3:30 AM it was a nightmare we were suppose to land at 9;35 pm. How was it leaving from AC what airline did you take, did you get a good price because newark is getting very expensive and we have thought about eventually going out of AC or Philly since my ln-laws have a place in cape may.

Hi Jeanine! Thanks for joining us again! OMG I would have freaked to be delayed for 7 hours, your poor kids AC is VERY convenient BUT the nickel and dime you for everything, your seats,your bags and your tickets of course! If you can get a low fare it might be worth it though because it is so small 8 gates only!

So we left off arriving at Saratoga Springs! There were quite a few people getting off here so I told Bryan "grab the kids and the luggage" I wanted to make a beeline for the check in so we didn't have to wait too long! I was the 2nd one in line! I was nervous because there were a lot of factors to get right with our reservation. I had requested the Granstand section close to the pool and bus stop and a high floor! I know lots of requests...... anyway our ressie was confusing because we were paying cash for our first night, using our developer points for the next 10 nights and then our AKV points for the 12th night! Are you still with me? Anyway, I had linked everything together so we wouldn't have to move and linking it all together allowed me to book deluxe dining for the whole 12 nights together! WELL.................... The Disney gods aligned and I received ALL of my requests and it was all linked together perfectly! YAY! Next step was we wanted to get our mugs tonight so Bryan quickly ran into Artist Palette and grabbed our mugs and then a bellman loaded us and our luggage into a golf cart and off to the Grandstan we went....almost! I forgot about the 2 cases of water I had ordered so the poor bellman went back in and grabbed them and then we were off! I didn't take any pictures because it was so dark and late. The bellman delivered us right to the elevator in our building and brought all of our things to our room! We rewarded him well! It was SO HOT and by this point it was about 10:35 at night!! I quickly unpacked while Bryan took the kids to see the pool or at least that was there plan! Turns out they got lost in the dark! They came back quickly and we all showered and hit the beds, the kids complained about sleeping on the pull out couch and not having a bed but Bryan and I quickly jumped in and said "do you know how lucky you are" that whole speech! They were quickly quieted and we all fell fast asleep!

So I set the alarm for 6:45 the next morning because I wasn't sure about the bus situation! The alarm went off we wished Bryan a Happy Father's Day and then he ran to get us breakfast from the Artist palette. I got the kids and I dressed and sunblocked. We were out the door and at the bus stop by 7:50. I had to laugh, my kids were so worried about no having enough room on the couch and this is how we found them in the morning!

We waited a total of 3 minutes and a Hollywood Studios bus pulled up!!!We went around the whole Saratoga resort and not one other person got on with us! We had the bus to ourselves! We arrived and Bryan and the boys got in line and I went to exchange our tickets for annual passes! I was so happy it all went so smooth! I then went back and waited in line with my family! Man was it hot! Our mission was that Bryan was going to run with the masses for TSM fastpasses and then get in line with us standby! Here are the boys before the rope drop!

So finally the rope drops and we were off! Bryan was off and I could no longer see him! The boys and I hurried along and met up with Bryan rather quickly, I was surprised at how smoothly it went!

WE LOVED TSM, it was our first time riding and it didn't disappoint!

After TSM Bryan and matthew went to Rock and Rollercoaster and Eric and I went to the Tower of Terror!

After we met back up, Bryan took the boys to Star Tours and I fastpassed Tower of Terror for later. We decided to meet back up at honey I Shrunk the Kids playground! Another first for our family! It was such a haven in that heat!!

After about 20 minutes, I left to go FP RNRC for us and I told Bryan I would meet him and the boys at Sci Fi, as we had an 11:15 lunch scheduled!

Again, Sci fi was another first for us and we were really excited to try it! We loved the atmosphere and the air conditioning immediately! This was our first encounter with the servers and Bryan's diabetes! I have to say the service was AWESOME and they answered all of Bryan's questions, it was GREAT! I ordered the onion rings..

I didn't write down what Bryan ordered and I don't remember, I think it was the beef and blue salad! I had the chicken sandwich, we bothe enjoyed our meals...

Our server was excellent and I thought this was so cute he made on the plate!

Then we ordered dessert, Bryan had a sugar free brownie...

I had an awesome, caramel, nut chocolate cake!

The boys LOVED it here and our server kept calling them Jedi's, Eric got the biggest kick out of that!

After Sci Fi, we went over to Animation Studio and looked around and the boys posed with Mrs. Incredible!

After this we decided to take a break from the heat, so it was back to SSR for a swim and a nap!

We didn't wait very long for a bus and were back at SSR pretty quickly! The boys changed into their suits and we were off! First stop, Grandstand pool! The boys loved the horse squiters and water play area here! Sorry I din't bring my camera down on this day! After a bit we walked over to the main pool and the boys enjoyed the slide for a bit! After about 45 minutes, we decided to head back to the room for a nap! We crashed HARD! After about an hour nap we all got up and got ready to head back to DHS for dinner at Mama Melrose, we also had fastpasses for RNRC, TOT and TSM to use!! We made it back to DHS with about 15 minutes to spare before our MM dinner! We checked in and were seated rather quickly. We all ordered and I looked over at Eric. He looked a little pale and really tired! He said he needed to go to the bathroom so I took him! We had eaten our appetizers at this point and when eric and I came back from the bathroom, our dinners were there. We all began to dig in except Eric! I look over and he is CRYING! I asked what was the matter and he said he felt like he was going to faint! I kept staring at him and then he looked like he was going to throw up! Mind you we were seated in the very back corner of the restaurant....I panicked and didn't know what to do? Should I run for the bathroom? Should I just wait it out? What to do So what did I do? I dumped his pasta on the table and held his bowl up by him! Turns out he was OK, just tired I think, he drank some water took some deep breaths and he was OK!

Needless to say I didn't finish eating and we couldn't wait to get out of there! I felt SO BAD for Bryan being that it was Father's Day! He was sweet though and said what any good dad would say and said he was just glad Eric was OK! We decided to try TSM with our fastpasses!

While in line, I knew that Lesley (of timandlesley) a fellow disser was supposed to be at DHS so I text her to see if they wanted our RNRC fastpasses because no one wanted to ride at that point! She text me back and said sure, that they would love to have them! We then rode TSM and began to leave, my phone rang and it was Lesley! It was so great to hear her voice (corny I know). She told me that her and her family were just getting ready to ride TOT, so she explained her stroller to me and said I could just leave them in her cup holder! On the way over Bryan decides he wants to ride TOT with our fastpasses, so we were all going to ride and then the kids backed out! I found Lesley's stroller put the fastpasses in and then went into the gift shop to wait for Bryan! Well low and behold here comes Lesley, Tim and the kids after there ride! I was so excited to finally meet her in person and Tim immediately requested a hug! They were great and we felt like long lost friends!

We said our goodbyes, knowing that we had a planned meet later in our stay! Bryan came off the ride not 10 seconds later and we headed back to the Animation studio where we bought the boys sketch books of how to draw the characters!

After this we went to the pin store at the hat and the boys picked out few pins and spent their first souveneir money! Then we hopped a quick bus back to SSR!

We showered and relaxed and really were so happy to be back in Disney!!!

Hey!!! What a great post on your first day!! We were in the grandstand area too, this past Nov. Really liked Saratoga for its laid back setting. Neat pools!

Glad your little man was okay. That heat can really sock you! Seems like a great day after all!!

You got so much posted already, your whole first full day! Love what you have so far and great pictures too So happy you got your requests , I loved the Grandstand area. Also for good bus service so far, we had horrible bus service our entire trip. Sci Fi Looks great, I love that dessert that you got! So nice of you to give your FP's to your Dis Friends Tim & Lesley . Sorry Eric wasn't feeling good but so glad he was okay. Overall a great first day!!
