It seems like just a dream now.....

I don't know; I've only been home now for a little over a week. And it seems like my wonderful trip to "the World" was a dream! It feels like I was there soooooo very long ago!! Why is this???
Oh well, I guess I just have to re-live my trip through the adventures of others until I can get back home. Unfortunately, that's not going to be for a while now. But I can still dream.....:cloud9:

I know exactly how you feel.

We had a great week in March and almost immediately after returning home, I felt like I needed to go back. Yes, I said NEEDED. LOL

The one thing that has saved me is that I immediately planned our trip for next year! Unfortunately, we can only make one trip a year (airfare prevents us from coming more often).

I have also spent a lot of time recently on the DIS boards!!! It's fun reading about everyone's experiences.

Only 249 days to go.....

DH and I were out walking our dog last night and we were talking about what we were doing just 3 weeks ago! It was just the first day of our last WDW trip. It seemed so long ago, we had to check the calendar and yes, it was only 3 weeks ago!

Normally I would be going back in October for the Food and Wine Festival but not this year. So I have about 345 more days to go before I get back! :scared1:

Oh well; we always have the DIS board! :thumbsup2

I think you and I may have been there at the same time. I arrived June 20th and we came home June 28th. Sadly, I've only been home 9 days and it seems like 9 months!!

Did you have a good trip Bobbi? My was FANTASTIC!!! :thumbsup2

We were just before you, the week of June 15th. It was absolutely great, and especially nice since it was to be a solo for me, but DH was able to come as well.

Fantastic Disney vacations are great to rememember! I'll be in Cape May next week, and I just printed out some pictures to show my DGF's, so the images and memories are so fresh in my mind. We got to see Remy, for instance...and do Kim Possible, enjoy SAB and then the giraffes were so great because they hung around lots by our studio at AKV.

What great things do you like to dwell on?! I am sorry that you'll be missing F&W this year. We've made a 3 night weekend reservation for the end of September.

Did you get to do KP in Germany? That one was an absolute riot, especially the very end of it. I must have driven the CMs in the shop crazy with the steins because I repeated that part like five times :lmao:

No, we didn't do that one! We just did France, and look forward to doing the rest in future visits. I'll have to remember what you're saying!!!

Even if you forget, you'll remember once you see it, trust me. ;) We did Mexico, China, Japan, and Germany, and of those Germany was by far our favorite.

One thing that was pretty cool was one of two times we did it, we got the phone early in the day and didn't do our "mission" until after EMH started, so there was nobody else doing them. I'm not sure if they intended people to continue doing the missions during EMH because all the KP carts were closed, but the phone and interactive stuff still worked. It was kind of distracting during the day when we saw people doing the parts before and after us (and heard the KP jingle everywhere we went!). I hope this kind of thing remains popular as I thought it was extremely cool, though I could have done without the Kim Possible theme.

Back to the OP, though, it does always seem that way after coming home, doesn't it? But I think it works both ways- having gone back this year after an extended 3-year break, it felt like only yesterday that I was there last.

You know Bobbi, I dwell on the entire trip. :cloud9: But if I had to pick one particular thing then it would have to be spending my birthday there. DH went all out to insure that my birthday in WDW was special; bless his heart. He ordered a cake that could have fed an army! But unless you get the 10" cake you can't have an image on it. So, we had dessert for a few days! :rotfl:

Yes; I too am a little disappointed that I won't be at the Food and Wine Festival this year. Unfortunately, I was laid off the week before we left for WDW. That's one of the reasons DH went all out on this last trip; he was trying to cheer me up. Even though I was "taken care of" by my company, I don't know how long it's going to take me to find another job. There is the possibility of my returning after January '10 as a contractor. But that's not ceratin. So I thought it a good idea this year to skip F&W and all the expenses that go along with that trip. God willing; I'll be there next fall! :thumbsup2

What a nice DH:love:!

Sorry to hear about your work status and I hope and pray that things look up for you.

Bobbi:goodvibes

Thanks Bobbi. My husband and I truely believe that when one door closes for you; another one opens.

So for now, I'll enjoy my summer and see what the fall brings! :goodvibes

Sorry to hear about your job. Hopefully you will find something soon (or as soon as you want).

Just close your eyes and you can return to your happy place anytime you want.

So sorry to hear about your job :sad1:

I remember reading your TR and seeing photo of your birthday cake :cake: -

your hubs did real good :thumbsup2 !!!!

Sending best wishes your way that it will not be long until you are

back to work and at the World too :goodvibes

Oh my gosh! The same thing happened to me after our March trip. It just seemed like after all of the months of planning and anticipation the trip was over before it began. My kids were actually bringing up different trip memories and asking me if I had any recollection of them. (I know they were making fun of me. :lmao:) I too will have to live through others. While happily planning our trip for next year. LoL

ps...So sorry to hear about your job situation. I hope all turns out well for you.

And it seems like my wonderful trip to "the World" was a dream!
Maybe you just ate too much at the Chef Mickey's buffet tonight -- it's caused a nightmare -- you're actually asleep in your comfortable DVC bed dreaming that you've returned home. Open your eyes and head back to the Magic Kingdom for evening EMH.

we have only been home since Saturday and it feels like forever.
Wishing you well in the job search, enjoy your summer days off though. There is something nice about being off for the summer

I actually plan on taking some time off then I'll see what I can do. Right now I'm getting into a nice routine. I found the site that plays Disney Music so you know what I have playing during the day! :thumbsup2
